I'm looking for a SRPG and/or a platformer with a difficulty moderate enough that I won't completely suck at it :D

I liked FF Tactics and Super Robot Wars, couldn't get into any Nippoin Ichi games I've tried, and I have Devil Survivor, but we're not speaking to each otehr :D For platformers, I have all teh Kirby games and strafy, and I've played but nowhere near finished some fo the Castelvanias and GBA Marios.
