I would like to disagree with that statement, The PS3 blu ray drive is for the games first and formost , with all that extra space for textures, videos and other game files. Play back of blu-ray movies is just a bonus. Face it, games were getting so big on the PS2 that if the PS3 had not used Blu-ray we wold have either lackluster games that loaded quickly or 15miniute load times as the data uncompressed off the disk each time it needed to load. With the blu-ray disk, the data can be streaming continusley off the disk with no load times. Look at Grand Theft Auto 4, It load's once at startup and never loads again (This has yet to be seen though but rockstar claims it works that way), i would like to see If a PS2 Game could pull that off and in High Definition.
