One of my inspirations in life is a man named Nelson Mandela.  He was/is the president of South Africa, and he was in prison for 27 years because of political treason.  His book, Long Walk to Freedom is an amazing book, and everyone should read it..

Stephen King UPDATE: To this date, since I was last talking about Stephen King, I have read: Dolares Claibourne, Part of Desperation, (couldn't get into it really:?) and now I am on Nightmares and Dreamscapes, a short story collection.  Its amazing!  

Hockey UPDATE: Well, my beloved Ottawa Senators made it into the playoffs:) They played their first game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, and they won 6-3! GO SENS!  

Random Update: Well... I had a math test today... and I'm pretty sure I failed.  Wish me luck:)

Hey all!  Here's my poem I wrote that won the Legion Contest! Its now in the provincials, even though I don't think its that good.  Its about two best friends in World War II. 

 Best Friends... Lost

Two best friends                                                                          Named John and Jack

Both went to war

Only one came back.  

Today is D-Day

And Jack feels queasy

The guns getting closer

This won't be easy.                                                                                                         

The boats slide to a stop

Jack and John on the beach

All around them Death

Sucks life away like a leech.

Bullets and sand

Fly up in their eyes

They ignore it, keep going

Heading for the prize

John runs up the beach

Death has him in its sights

With a gasp he falls

And his soul takes flight.

With a scream

Jack runs and cradles his friend

He cries and weeps

And hopes for the end.

But today was not

Jack's turn to die

Today was not

His turn to fly

Years later in a nursing home

And still Jack cries

It's time to see John

So he closes his eyes.

Omg, Robot Chicken Season 1 has got to be one of the stupidest dvds I own. Robot Chicken is a weird show that is all random... you have to see it to find out how funny it is. Seth Green has far to much time on his hands to be safe ;)

I can't believe PB is allready over :cry: On Sunday night, I was so looking foward to watching the Tudors when I realize... I DONT HAVE THE GODDAMN CHANNEL!!!! :evil: I calmed down eventually.

Right now I am loving the song "What Goes Around... Come Around" by Justin Timberlake! It is absolutly awsome!

And heres my happy moment. At my school, we had a contest in November. It was for the Royal Canadian
Legion, and you could either draw a poster or write a poem. My
cla$$ did both. I suck at drawing, but at poetry, I didn't think
I was much better. Well, turns out that... MY POEM IS AT THE FREAKIN PROVINCIALS! I WON 105$!!!!
It was announced at the assembly and I almost fainted! Then I had
to read my poem in front of the school! I'll post the poem next
blog, cause its kinda long! Anyways, I hope you're having funn
out there... and I miss Mat, cause hes gone to visit his dumb cuzin :cry: Oh, and if I don't comment back on my blog, its cause my commenting system is weird. It might not be now, I'm not sure. xoxo, K.Kay:D
