Well, No More Heroes was actually a Wii game whereas SSBB was a GameCube game in disguise. IMO SSBB shouldn't even have been considered for that reason.cutmaclass1

I agree. Don't get me wrong I love Brawl, I've probably spent like 100 hours playing that game, but it's just an updated version of Melee. Not GOTY material. While NMH is an original game made specifically for Wii. You can hate it for it's flaws, but I can't think of a Wii game more deserving.

[QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"]What I don't get actually is how people overlook its obvious flaws and say "Well for its time". Yes, for its time we had nothing better, but seriously its ben TEN YEARS. Sure it was awesome a decade ago but get over it. Its heavily flawed by today's standards.Sully28

That is the most ignorant statement ive ever heard on system wars. Everything older was heavily flawed but that does not make it any worse. We play in the mindset of when it was released. People dont back and halflife 1 and diss its flaws, we play it and realize how ahead of its time it was.

Even by today's standards the game holds up fairly well. Give it some current gen graphics and no body would complain that its outdated.

As for this bug, I've never heard about it before and it would seem as if it has gone by unnoticed.

Just cause you can't figure out the Water Temple doesn't mean the game is broken. :-P

NMH deserves it. I love Brawl, but it's just an update of Melee. I'd rather give the GOTY to a new original game, and NMG is definitely original.

IMO No More Heroes is a good pick. Sure, the game has it's fault but I really think that the good greatly outshines the bad. It is a shame that the game is not as polished as it could have been, but I'm still not sure whether Suda wanted it that way or not, and then I begin to wonder how full of yourself you have to be to release an unpolished game. Regardless it's just too stylish, bizarre, and just fun to let some of the problems really hinder your enjoyment. As much as I enjoy Brawl it's just an update to Melee, Nintendo didn't do anything revolutionary to the formula, they just added some new characters and levels. Big whoop. I love Brawl, but for GOTY I'd have to give it to a new game like NMH than Brawl.

The problem is that mediocre writers tend to fall back on these cliches too much and end up retelling the same story again and again. However, in the hands of a good writer any of those cliches can be used to tell a great story.
