Could it be that the editors are a bit biased to the success of the Guild Wars franchise? Dishonored have innovations. Mass Effect 3 turned out to have a post-modern ending that was actually better before those crap extensions to the ending was offered. I don't think "restructuring of old concepts" is enough for Guild Wars to win this award, but looking at the differences between Editors' Choice and People's Choice I can understand--editors are so into the technical aspects of games.
