First of all, I don't have countless money to spend on games, so when I buy one, I want it to be worth it. I don't expect the campaign to be as long as Witcher 3's of course, but I don't want to finish it in 1-2 days either, because that would be a waste of money and games like COD, Battlefield and Titanfall are in that category. Of course I could tolerate a shorter campaign, but my wallet wouldn't.
Second of all, I'm not really a fan of multiplayer shooting games because I think they get repetitive after a while and even if I was, I don't really see the point in buying more than 1 because they're not that different and special to be worth paying 120$ for 2 of them.
Also, games like Pokemon, Xcom or Inside are not my type. I don't know what their genre is, but I prefer regular games.
That's why I'm saying that this year games have been very disappointing, at least for me, because they are either way too short, too bad or only multiplayer which isn't worth buying unless you really enjoy that genre.
Mafia 3 and Watch Dogs 2 seemed to have more potential, but now the reviews for them aren't that good either. And I heard Final Fantasy has a bad story also.
As I said, no game this year besides Uncharted 4 comes even close to Fallout 4, MGSV, Witcher 3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Why are games so incredibly bad this year compared to last year? Just look at the GOTY nominees: Doom, Inside, Uncharted 4, Titanfall 2, Overwatch. Only Uncharted comes closer to Witcher 3, Fallout 4, MGS V or Rise of the Tomb Raider but even Uncharted is too short.

And even next year doesn't look so good if you ask me, besides Red Dead Redemption. It's like those developers don't care enough about the games anymore.

What do you guys think of Mafia 3 and Watch Dogs 2? Which campaign would you say it's better in terms of the world, the story and the gameplay? I think at the moment they might be the only ones matching my criteria.

By the way don't you think this year has been extremely disappointing as far as games are concerned? Besides Uncharted 4, which is only on PS4, we've had no games actually deserving of a 9 or 10, after the past few years we've had classics like Witcher 3 and GTA V.

I have a Xbox so I can't play Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4 or Bloodborne. I already played FO4, MGSV, Rise of the Tomb Raider and GTA V. Dark Souls and Alien Isolation are not really my type of games.
I'll keep an eye on reviews for Dishonored 2 and Watch Dogs 2, maybe one of them will actually be great, I may buy Deus Ex Mankind also but only when the price drops a bit more.

As I said, Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time so of course I played the DLCs.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a good game from what I've heard, but it has a short campaign, and most reviewers give it a 7 so I'm not sure it's worth the money.
But from the games that are coming out in the following months, is there anything special in particular?

I played Bioshock Infinite, but like Rise of the Tomb Raider, it has a short campaign. It was great though.

Besides of sports games like NBA 2K and FIFA which I play every year, when I'm buying a game I look at how good and full of content the single-player campaign is, because I want to get my money worth.

In the past few years, I played Witcher 3, which in my opinion is 1 of the best, if not the best game of all time, because it's so good at so many different aspects (the story, the music, the world, the characters, the side-quests, the DLCs, the abundance of content, the variety of enemies, the attention to details, Gwent and so on) Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid V, which are great also, but their stories are not that good and the missions get repetitive after a while and Rise of the Tomb Raider, which was also very fun, but too short, in which case, I don't feel like I got my money worth.

This year I feel like there's no single-player campaign that stands out or gets anywhere near a game like Witcher (besides Uncharted 4, but I play on Xbox), so I was wondering, which games would you recommend me that have a great and long story (at least 25-30 hours) and fun gameplay?
