[QUOTE="steph_noman"]VLC player, M player, Windows Media Player Classic. It all goes down to getting the right codec pack. Try ACE Mega CoDecS Pack 6.03 or Gordian Knot would be what I usually recommend.Dogswithguns

My Windows Media wont play DVD movies, maybe bcuz I have Vista Home Basic, unless I upgrade to premeum.... RealPlayer wont work either.

VLC works fine for me. I can always try out what you recomend as well. thanx

You're wrong there. Try updating your WMP and get a good codec pack.

Microsoft has no way of restricting WMP playback, regardless of your OS build (I had no problems playing DVDs on any Windows Vista build or Windows 7 for that matter)

It all goes down to your LCD TV's input and your graphics card output. Also, depending on your graphics card GPU manufacturer (nVidia, ATI) you should have "multiple display options" or something similar in the display control panel. A bit more information regarding your equipment would help better understand your situation.
