It is actually very likely that this is the case. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle and quantum fluctuations provide a cogent model for mechanisms that allow something to be created from nothing.Indeed, it is possible (although this is speculative) that we live in one of many universes that exist in a multiverse, all created by quantum fluctuations, and that the conditions that determined the constants of our universe made it uniquely equipped for life. In the 100,000 galaxies in the observable part of our universe, Earth managed to evolve intelligent beings. Simply put, humans are statistically interesting, but not altogether surprising.
