@SSL_Syn You are absolutely right about that, I agree. Nintendo has always had the ability to win over the masses with their quirky, all-encompassing nature, excellent first-party titles, and their name alone. We have seen their competitors try to emulate their success in the motion gaming market.
@wcwj26 While the online service does look to be a wonderful feature of the Wii U, just how many hardcore gamers do you think will utilize it to its full potential? I know I don't speak for everyone out there but, as a gamer, I can safely say that I only care about a two things when it comes to online capabilities: Reliability and Ease-of-Use. Any other fluff is appreciated but I don't think it's necessary for an online infrastructure (just look at how hard PS Home is flopping).
As much as I'd love to jump on the Wii U train when it is finally released, I can't help but feel that when Sony and MS reveal their next consoles, it will completely trump the Wii U. I honestly believe Nintendo should have just waited a while longer to see exactly what they were going to be going up against if they were interested in recapturing the hardcore market.
I wish more games were designed in a way that they would be able to run on virtually any machine. I believe that could potentially draw more people to PC gaming.
