By the end of ff12 I was wondering what I was fighting for. In most previous installments you know exactly who and what you are fighting but in ff12 I didn't. I leveled up my character to the point of exhaustion and did so many clan quests but finally decided to do some more of the story and suddenly it ended. I sat in front of my tv for 15 minutes wondering if it was really over or some bad joke.

That is an awesome phrase!!
I need to remember that one!
the problem here is the whole game for both platforms has been severely downgraded : very limited number of side quests and mini games (if at all), lack of exploration, no towns (where you had different graphic design, music, NPCs to talk to, towns with different things to buy), even the gameplay has been stripped : only one character with full control with commands given to others more limited than FFXII, the scenery is flat : no grass, plants, trees (compare to White knight story) : all that was done as the XBOX360 didn't allow much more.

yeah...I was really unhappy when I heard all of that went out the window. A lot of the fun in the old games was to see all the different styles the towns had and listen to the people with their silly little problems. I'm just hoping that ff VS 13 is somehow better and they learn from their mistakes and that one is supposed to still be exclusive if I remember correctly
Well Bayonetta recieved some tough and questinable critisism. In the graphics department of the game, there seems to be no big difference, maybe the 360 version has higher res textures, but yet for the PS3 the reviewer punished it with words that kinda suprised me (but then again didn't), giving the ps3 version a lower score. GTs "HD" comparison video really didn't show much difference from both versions.
To me it was more of giving the 360 a break and still giving it the same score for FFXIII. If I was a reviewer for GS or another website and I gave the PS3 version an 8.5, then for the 360 version I'd give and 8.0 because of that graphical difference the reviewer gave in the video.

that is what I would find "fair" I guess since gamespot no longer does smaller intervals like 8.3 or 9.6 anymore.
That's another example but I think they recognized the differences if my memory does not deceive me.
yeah maybe...but I was too lazy to go over there plus I'm trying to finish heavy rain...so my concentration is divided.
is that bakamengatari? I have no idea if I spelled that right...I've come to love that show even if it is whacked out of its mind...
the intro and ending are some of my favorites
yeah somebody did that for baynetta and it was a...laziness fiasco on the developer's part. I don't think sony will ever really trust them again after that.
When I first heard about the bayonetta fiasco I was mad too but later recognized it because before that patch came out it was definitely worse (btw I don't have bayonetta but I heard there was a patch or something) and I can understand the score being lower but it should be the same with ff13. Maybe the graphics arent THAT much worse like someone said but a differenc is a difference. Maybe I need to stop reading all the japanese articles that make the 360 version sound like crap. Like a less pretty tunnel.
I'm sure some people will think I'm just a ranting little nerd but I hope some people will hear me out and see the point of view that I am coming from.
The news for the last...year has been how square has had to knock the 360 versions graphics down to get the game to fit on the disks. So many websites comment on the graphics difference and how it is suppose to be vastly different from the ps3 and the 360, but now we have a review for ff13 up for botht the ps3 and the 360 and they are the same score! Didn't another recent game come out that was suppsoe to be inferior on the ps3 and they didn't give it another thought to score the 360 version higher. I've never cried fanboy on this site before because I've generally trusted them on their video game journalism but this struck a nerve for some reason. I would actually like to know from gamespot why final fantasy on the 360 with its downgraded graphics can get the same score when other games that have very minute differences can score different( I'm not going to go naming some because I just don't have the energy to find examples right now).
I posted this earlier but I guess nobody saw it:
I found on the kotaku board that the link that many people are using to register their names to get the code is for EUROPE. There is a seperate NA registration for those living in the US that can't get their codes to work. I had the same problem forever until I read this post
