@pauselaugh: Ive heard its about 10-12 hours story mode. Even if its 6 - 12 hours thats more then enough for me especially if its good like everyone says it is.
Anyhow, ive learned not to listen to the internet especially this year, as most people dont know anything and just talk crap for the sake of it. Its easy to hate online which is what majority of people do. Two of the most hated games this year online was Resident Evil 3 for its short campaign (also 6 hours) and The Last of Us 2 for its story! Guess what im glad i didn't take the internet seriously as both the games was some of the best games that ive ever played! In fact TLOUS2 became my all time favourite game ever.
Yeah i dont have the same expectations as Avengers as those other games, but im pretty certain that it would still be worth buying just for the single player game! Ofcourse i can still be wrong about this and won't know until i play it, but SquareEnix/Crystal Dynamic are good with the single player games like the tomb raider series etc..
Wow, sounds amazing. I lost interest in this thanks to all the multiplayer stuff announced and shown recently!
But all the reviews and previews ive seen so far about the campaign has raised my excitement again, it sounds really fun and funny. The story looks amazing also, im happy with a short campaign of around 12 hours, its enough for me, too many games currently going into the 40-50 hours mark unnecessarily!
I have no interest in the multiplayer however and will probably never even play it, im in this only for the single player, characters and story and all the epic moments, especially the last mission that i heard about!
@daidochus: unfortunately, im happy to say that your completely wrong! The game was the best selling Sony Playstation exclusive game :D Plus only kids buy games from stores anymore, which is the reason you saw spongebag out of stock. Real gamers buy the digital version, which is where the most sales come from nowadays!
@videogameninja:I agree with you on FF7R and Re3R, both were some of best games i ever played, however your completely wrong about TLOU2, it was not one of the best but easily the best game ive ever played for the last 30+ years!! The game was actually very long for a linear story driven game, the length was as long as open world games, which is just insane, but not once did i feel like i wanted this to end! In fact, i wanted even more and for the first time ever after completing a game i went back and started my second play through, which is unheard of for me due to lack of time and huge back catalogue still.
You mentioned the pacing was slow, i have to really disagree with this, i thought the pacing throughout was perfect, the only part i didn't enjoy as much as the rest of the game and the part that could be considered as being a little slow pacing wise was the open world segment. Apart from this segment absolutely loved the shocks and thrills the story surprised us with, story was incredible and ive never been so much emotionally invested in a story be it movie or game before as i did with both the parts as a whole in TLOU.
Absolutely loved TLOU2, even more so then the 1st game which i thought wouldn't be possible. The story, gameplay, acting, level design and audio were astonishing. Its one of the only games that i can think of that i felt like playing again straight away after completing it. I just couldn't get enough even though it was such a long game! First play through i think took me about 37hours.
However, im really disappointed to hear that you are not going to do single player story DLC for part 2, the first parts DLC was soo good and i would have loved to see some sort of side story dlc in TLOU2 even if it was a brand new character, Yara, SCARS, or a Joel Side story before the events of this game. I think its a missed opportunity if you are not thinking about it and instead are thinking of creating some multiplayer world in TLOU2 as i have absolutely zero interest in that no matter how good it is.
Heres hoping you guys start cracking on with TLOU3 for PS5, cant wait to see what you guys come up with in that game!! Please don't take such a long gap this time, 3 years would be acceptable :)
This game pass is a load of bollocks! Why the hell do they take games away so quickly, what's the point of adding them in the first place, just so that we can demo them and then they expect us to pay for the game!! Whats the point of paying £15 a month or whatever it is in this case to join game pass? Seems we are essentially paying them £15 to demo games, the games for gold model is so much better, at least in that we can play the games in our own time and not expect to rush through games.
I would have liked to replay GTA5 at some point, but its gone before i could even start it, i also wanted to try out Metal Gear Survive and looks like that is going aswell in a few days, absolutely no point in starting it now, Microsoft if you are taking a game away, at least give us 3 months notice so that we can schedule to play it!!!
Square-Enix have been extremely clever with this game and its release! Kudos, for making one of the best games ever made in FF7R. The story, graphics, audio, and battle system, my god what an amazing system built onto of the original which was already amazingly.
SE are back with a bang with this title after many years, and i haven't enjoyed playing an RPG for many years now, but this one really hooked me right from the start to the finish.
They have been clever in doing part 1 release and then to release sequels in the future over next few years, as otherwise it would be an extremely long game, just this part was 40+ hours, total game would be over 120+ hours easily. With this break up everyone can enjoy the game in much better chunks, and that way we don't have to wait 5 years to complete the game and can start on it now instead.
