"An external HDD means using up another USB Port, and also another Power Plug to your Power Board. If you can upgrade an internal one, I recommend that 100%."

I agree with you, and i aknoldge your point. Just not 100% (Very cllose though =)). Thank you.

"Speeds of external drives have gone up in recent years, but internal SATA 600 drives are way faster, even when used in an external e-SATA or USB housing/docking station."

Ok, But using will my HDD loose speed using a Docking station? Wich is better a External E-sata or USN docking staion?

I have another question, What is the best Internal Hard Drive out there 3/4 TB? Links.

Ok i see Felipe is getting alittle aggitated. Yeah i undersatnd what your saying and it makes perfect sense, that Internal Dirives are faster. But if i buy a docking station to keep all my drives operatiing, will it slow my Hard drive at all? What would be the downside in getting a docking station?

Yeah i can do that, on the Hard Drive that has 148 Gb. But then 148 Gb's would go unused. So why do you think it bad idea to buy a docking station?

Ok what about this, like the other member mentioned, buy a Internal HDD with a USB 3.0 To SATA Docking station (since my case is full). How does that sound? Would that be the best option?

I think i'm more confused now then before. Jaja. Okay two of you guys say internal and another says External is fine. What is the USB 3.0 Docking Station for? How does it work? If external and Internal are practically the same speed then i don;t really see a difference What do you guys think? (without confusing me anymore. Jaja)

I filled them up with alot of movies and Applications. jaja Sure i can upgrade them. But isnt a 3.0 Hard Drive the same speed as a SATA Internal Hard Drive? So why woulddnt you recommed an External hard Drive?

Hello,

First of all hello to everybody, i havent used this forum for a long time now. (I counlnt remember the Login info). I need help on something, i want to buy a Hard Drive but im not sure if i should buy an internal or external hard drive. I have 5 Internal inside my Antec Case (witch only fits 5) and they are all full I have 4 External, 3 that work and 1 that dosn't. I was thinking tha i could buy an External hard Drive 3TB and format one of the internal Hard Drives (The one with the most space) and use it as the primary hard drive and then use the 3Tb External Hard Drive for the heavy stuff (Movies, Video games, Etc.) But im not sure yet because of the speed difference, what do you guys think and what is your opinion on this?
