@7tizz: I know how it works (look down at another comment I answered). You're still negating the fact that it used internal storage for game saves, which was the basis of your argument. Whether the storage is disc, flash, or magic, it's still internal storage.
@7tizz: Yup, I just made up what anybody can look up. YES, the SEGA Saturn did, in fact, have internal memory. It was specifically for saving game data. You know, the thing you thought your ignorant point was about. You sound like our dumb president. "Wrong, even though I don't know what I'm talking about, blah blah blah".
@no_one: The tab popped up and said "no_one mentioned you". I was sad, then I laughed. I have Kora on PS4. It's o......................kay, I guess. If they make my list of sequels, I'll gladly purchase another Kora game, and that Ninja Turtles mistake they did.
@sellingthings: Well, it did. I don't remember the size, but it had internal memory. You could also purchase backup cartridges for large save files (like Dragon Force). My cartridge died years ago, but I still have a ton of game saves on my system. It's powered by a replaceable battery (small round watch battery type). Truth is, Xbox took over where SEGA left off. Look up SEGA and Microsofts relationship before the original Xbox launched. They almost made the Xbox backwards compatible with the Dreamcast. Xbox live was built off of SEGAnet. I'm not taking anything away from Microsoft by saying this. It's just cool to find all the "behind closed doors" info that wasn't reported, like the Nintendo PlayStation. I've owned all three Xbox's, and plan on buying the Scorpio. It's the competition that brings the large amounts of great games we're getting, and keeps the prices down.
YAY!! I wish we could get a sequel to Vanquish, such a great game. Come on SEGA and Platinum, make it happen. Then another Metal Gear Rising, and Bayonetta, and MadWorld, and another NieR. I'm not asking for much, just sequels to all those games. Make it snappy, please.
@7tizz: SEGA Saturn had a hard drive, and Xbox had memory cards. Microsoft didn't invent anything. What's your point? As for accessories, the Switch just came out and it probably wins that title.
Sony, one day, maybe. It's Nintendo that would never do this. Hell, they almost never reduce the price of games, even really old ones. When Nintendo gets your money, it's immediately deposited in a hyperdimensional rift that is stored in Thanos' infinity gauntlet. That requires the Incredible Hulk, but you need the Avengers to keep him focused, so...it's a whole thing. Just don't expect your money, is all I'm say'n.
In all seriousness, it's great that Microsoft followed Steam with this, and hopefully Sony and Nintendo follow suit.
