@howthegodzkill: I didn't say you said that. My first comment was basically in agreement of most of what you were saying. The rest, is my personal opinion. I understand some people want 4k bluray. I have a Samsung 65" 4k tv myself. I was only giving my personal opinion on physical content. But I also understand your original point. If you want 4k gaming content and do not have a capable PC, the PSpro is less than a month away and the Scorpio is probably 10-11 months away. If you have to have 4k disc playback capability, there is a couple options to supplement that. It's all good dude.

@mantiis: I'm not sure I get how you can be screwed buying the PSpro. Unless you find any PS4 purchase to be a possible screwjob, but you purchased a PS4 and said you enjoy it. The Pro is $400 (same as the launch price) and the regular system is $300. Both play the same games. Some will run/look better on the Pro, but ultimately it's the same system that your already getting enjoyment out of. I don't think people will feel screwed about $100. Everyone already knows it doesn't have the 4k Bluray, so that will factor into a pre-purchase decision. PSVR, on the other hand, offers an experience you can only get with a $400 purchase. Some people may feel screwed on that if it doesn't continue to have consistent, quality content. That I can understand, but the Pro seems simple. Your going to get the same enjoyment as the original system with potentially better visuals. The PS has the install base already to get consistent, quality content, so I don't see developers walking away.

@mantiis: I respect your opinion and I assume, Sony thanks you for your purchase. The pro is just another option for consumers. Sony definitely does not want to alienate the 40+ million users of the original system. That's why your not going to see "Pro exclusives". What you will see, with most new games coming out in the future, is similar to how PC configurations work. Just not as extensive. The games will be made and optimized to downscale dependent on the system and screen your using. Pretty much all games (especially AAA titles) are made running at a higher fidelity than what the final product will actually be. All games will work between both systems and everyone can enjoy the content, regardless of the unit.

@bonzaibillie_99: Bloodborne would benefit the extra horse power soooo much. Get a smooth consistent frame rate. I love the game already, but a solid framerate would (in my opinion) be worth a full review point. Keeping my fingers crossed for these.

@da_gatmasta: I get it, I too enjoy having physical products, but how many is too many? Will you replace all of your DVDs and BluRays with the upscaled versions of everything you own? What about the next format (discs of all types will go away sooner or later)? For me, there is just too much content to have physical copies of everything. Most of my games are downloaded now. It's nice not having to switch out games from the system. I almost never watch the DVDs and Blurays I own now, so personally, I've gotten to the point where I'm finished (for now, at least) buying Blurays. I just want good games on PSpro.

@howthegodzkill: That's pretty much how I feel. I don't personally care about 4k bluray. I had some VHS tapes back in the day. Then DVD. I had like 400 and something DVDs, then Bluray. For the first few years of Bluray, I was replacing a bunch of DVDs and I got to the point where I just stopped caring. I don't need to own every movie, it's just pointless. Most of them I only ever watched once or twice anyway. So why not just rent and stream when I want to watch something specific? I want a PSpro for video games, not movies. I'm going to get the Scorpio too anyway, so if I really want to get a 4k bluray (doubt it), I can, but right now, I just could not care any less about them.

@rob9999991: Exactly. I would rather have a high, stable frame rate and more stuff on screen than 4k anyday. 4k is just a buzzword marketing strategy. It's pretty, but not necessary.

@skyhighgam3r: it's just another option for consumers. Most of the developer updates for the ps pro are graphics, not resolution, based. More characters on screen, higher frame rates, better particle effects, etc. Both systems will definitely be noticeable on a 1080p screen. Once again, just another option for consumers willing to pay for it.

@tarheelsforever: I noticed the name. I got my bachelor's degree from UNC. My dad was a green beret. I'm originally from Tacoma Washington. Moved here, got stuck. Yeah, the flooding from Matthew was bad. I live on a hill and the water rolled off the property, but neighbors had small lakes in their front yards. I was without power for six days. Luckily the weather started cooling off that week, so it wasn't unbearable, just boring. Glad everything worked out and everyone's ok.
