@nl_skipper: Thank you for the advice. We all have different opinions (Most of my friends have never even heard of half the games I own), but we all contribute to the market. I personally try to give respect to games , even when I personally don't want to play them (you can still judge quality and design, even if you don't play it), because they all help the market grow. The guys making that silly smart phone game now, may make my favorite game of all time in the future. Any positive influence helps push the market in a positive direction. I don't really want VR right now, but it is cool and may become something bigger in the future. Microsofts HoloLens could totally change gaming when the tech gets better and cheaper. All new ideas are welcome.

@R4gn4r0k: Don't get me wrong, I'm still impressed by and use my Vita. There are a few games that are close to or better (Persona 4 golden) than their console counterparts. Killzone is great on Vita, but imagine playing PS3 Killzone (without the slight lag from crossplay) on a portable. I can't wait to be playing Zelda and grabbing the tablet and continuing in bed or where ever I want. That's really cool. Platinum is working on a game. One of the main reasons I purchased a WiiU right after launch was the exclusive Bayonetta 2 announcement. Can't wait to see more.

@tarheelsforever: Are you a N. Carolina guy? I'm in Fayetteville. If so, hope you didn't have any problems from the hurricane. I lost power for six days. I used my car chargers to charge my tablet, vita, and 3ds.

@R4gn4r0k: I assume by your gamer pic, your excited for the Switch. I can't wait to see more info on it. I think it looks great and March isn't that far away. I still use the WiiU tablet in bed like a portable system. This is taking that concept to a new level. Actual console AAA titles on the go. The vita was close, but there's no comparison. Uncharted on vita vs Uncharted on PS3, nowhere near the same. We'll get the full console experience on a portable. So cool. Hope it sells, the market needs the competition.

@nl_skipper: Yeah, that's a good point. Mouse/keyboard setup would work good there. I usually have about a 2 hour window when the meds kick in properly and I can play most types of games. I'm just not as proficient as I used to be. I played the Overwatch beta on both consoles. That was impressive. I know my friends are playing the hell out of BF1 and Gears4. They've said positive things about both. Thanks

@biggamerdude: Absolutely, I totally forgot about DOOM. I did play that earlier this year. The campaign was amazing!! Even on console it looked and played fantastic. Can't believe I forgot that one. Such a good game. I didn't play much of the MP, but I enjoyed every second of the campaign.

I'm starting to get a little jealous. I haven't been into the MP Shooters for a bunch of years now, but I kind of wish I was. My right thumb knuckle has degraded to the point I can barely move it, making intricacy based twin stick games difficult to play. Between this, BF1, Overwatch, and Gears4, it's a good time to enjoy the genre. Maybe CoD will be good. Odin Sphere is still great though, maybe I'll finish that.

@gameroutlawzz: Except that the Xbox was more powerful. It was the last system to really be in the fold, as far as, graphics are concerned. The small proprietary cd held it back a little and I hope that isn't a problem with the cartridges this time. I'm excited for the Switch, regardless of how powerful people assume it should be. Some of the WiiU games are flat out gorgeous and run at 1080p/60fps. It's all about what you do with the power available.

@DustbusterGF: Huh? There is no way the Switch will cost $450 or more. That's insane. Tablet tech prices have come down a lot over the past few years and Nintendo may even be willing to take a slight loss on the system to increase sales (Nintendo rarely does this, but it is common in the industry. The PS3 reportedly cost around $800 to produce at launch and sold for $600). As far as battery life, my newest tablet has a 1440p OLED 8.5 inch screen and gets 10 hours of usage. That is plenty for standard usage. The complaint about cracked and broken screens seems silly too. Once again, tons of people, and children, use tablets everyday now and there is no epidemic of damaged screens. I get it, you don't like Nintendo. That's fine, but at least be honest about your negative bias.

@rob9999991: It's not. They're using new proprietary cards for the Switch. I'm hoping the tablet is touch screen. that could help for e-shop compatibility. I think Nintendo will keep the 3ds going for a little while. It has cheaper games and can still appeal to the younger audience.
