Using avg on this machine and its using about 13 megs atm. Yes symatec is a resource hog, not a very good hog at that even. If you want to try free AVG and Avast are pretty good, paid ones Kaspersky is a good one, but anywho any of those are way better then Symatec...Unless im getting it confused with something else.

I really liked eq2, but seems like no one is ever around on it....I would play it if more people where on or I could find a decent guild with a fair amount of players active...

Im kinda in the same boat you are, although i thought ut3 was trash:x But anywho there are some, but not that many with very many servers up. Gears for the pc has like 3 people on it atm...Quake 4 doesnt have very many people active at all, save with timeshift. www.game-monitor.com is a nice tool. So id go check that out and see how many servers etc, but it seems that modern/ww2 shooters are the in thing no days :? If you find a good one that is kinda like ut with a fair amount of servers let me know to, im still playing ut2004 :roll:

Not really.. I know a few pretty computer savy people that run linux and get alot of the games to run, a friend even got directx 9c installed on his linux machine. You can run alot of windows games in linux but most require tweaking a little to alot. I would dual boot if i where you.. Not sure on the second question though.

360, ps3 WII and a DS atm. The WII only reallly comes out when company comes over, never really got into it have like 5 titles for it so far to. I played 360 alot a few years back when my comp and I had a disagreement :p Its pretty fun but i wouldnt really recommend it if you have an up to date pc, most all tittles end up on the pc. The ps3 well um it looks kinda nice sitting there..Although i do agree it will be worth having in the future.

Really it comes down to what you want, I would recommend the WII for ya but anywho back to work...

[QUOTE="strikerthrex"]

Crysis average 5 to 7 fps higher then vista

Ut3 average 10 to 15 higher in vista

Gooeykat

Actually Crysis runs the best in Vista 64.

i had vista 64 bit. Guess fraps was lying and the fact that is was almost unplayable , under 7fps in vista, was just my imagination and btw i run 2003 not xp.

Have you owned both? I did had it installed on both service packs drivers etc played same sections and recorded the fps. Not that crysis is the end all anywho. If you want to go off other sites benchmarks what they say go for. I'll go by personal experience thx.

And in case your wondering E8400, Geforce 8800GT and 4gigs of Ram
