I am not sure what the normal for your computer is, but there is a program you can download for free that will tell you if everything is alright, and sense your temp and increase fan speed if neccesary.

The link is here: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

I think trophies are a good thing, but I don't think they implement them very well.

The sense of accomplishment that one feels once they beat the game, or even a boss is boosted when they discover they got a trophy for it! That is a great time to give a trophy. But when developers make it so that you have to beat the game without dieing or collect all treasures in a game in order to get a trophy...that is just too far!

I could see maybe if they offered some sort of secret movie if you collected enough trophies and stuff...but you don't get anything except for a VIRTUAL trophy. It feels kind've like a rip off if you ask me. I think they put them in games in order to get people to play the game for hours beyond what they usually would.

That is my oppinion!

Hey everyone,

My Playstation 3 stopped working today randomally. Let me give you some background on it before I talk more about my problem.

I bought the Playstation 3 from a close friend of mine for Christmas of this year for cheap, since he became a fan of Xbox 360 (I know...I know). The system is a 60GB backwards compatible model, one of the originals. I know for a fact he did not abuse the system and such, since I was there all the time when he was playing it. So, now about the problem.

I have the latest update for the system and such. So I was playing Rock Band 2, drums and the screen randomly froze and the song being played (Carry on My Wayward Son) was repeating. I tried to restart it, and it did not respond. So I turned off the unit on the back, and turned it back on. The system restarted but nothing showed up on the screen and when I tried to activate the controller the lights just kept flashing. So I pushed the eject button and the disc came out, and I could put it back in. But the system won't display anything on my TV and will not sync with the controllers. I already tried doing a hard reset and such, but it did not work. So if you could help me that would be amazing!!

lmao. I live in northern Michigan, about 20 min. from any town. Not quite far away as the Andes mountains...but pretty close. But thank you to the person who suggested running an ethernet through my computer to the PS3, I will try it!

Hello,

I just purchased a Playstation 3 (60GB, Backwards Compatiable) system. It has all of the latest updates and firmware. I live in a place where they do not offer wireless or high speed internet, but I do get fairly good speed using my cell phone. I connect to the internet using my Samsung Hue as a modem, and was wondering if I could use this to get online through my PS3. I am not sure if I can connect it to a router and have it work, and then use an ethernet...I don't know. Please help me if you can. The main reason I want to get online is to purchase songs for Rock Band 2....
