At what point did I say 'special' mouse? I have a laptop which does not allow touchpad use simultaneously with keys being pressed, so no gaming whatsoever. I need a mouse, I just did not want a crap quality one, and as I know next to nothing about the mouse market I do not know which companies are reliable etc.

Hey all, I have a problem and need your help . Ok. 1. I received a 80gb Ps3 off a friend today 2. I do not have a hdtv, only sd. 3. My friend used a hdtv (1080p), and a hdmi. 4. I am having to use standard 3-part red yellow white cable. 5. I picked up the (ryw) cable from my friends new ps3 slim, not the one that came with the 80gb. 6. I tried to set up the ps3 and it powered up but there was no tv signal at all. So, I can conclude either that it is not working as I am not using the 80gb tv cable, which I highly doubt, or, it is not working because it has been set previously to 1080p and I was using a sdtv. If it is the latter, how could I reset the ps3's settings without a hdtv and hdmi cable? Thanks all, and i know I should just get a hdtv but funds do not allow :p

Hey guys, I'm in the UK and after getting interested in the looks of Tales of Vesperia I asked my local GAME for a UK release date, the sales woman said she had never heard of it and searched the release schedule, she said the only 360 game of any similar description is either Tales of Desperation or Destruction, i forget :P So my question is whether is she is an artard, has the game changed name for UK release, or are they separate games? Hey guys, Im a bit of a newb when it comes to mobo's. there are two main things im looking for here: a) a brief rundown of the different intel chipsets, like p35, p45, x38, x48 What is the main differences between them and which is better? im guessing x48 but thats only because its a higher number haha also is there much a difference between them, will i be majorly disadvantaged if i choose to go for a p35 over a x48? keep in mind i want this mobo for a while its not a quick fix, upgradability is an issue for me. and b) im looking to build my first rig and am undecided over whether to plunk for XP or Vista, from what i understand XP provides better performance but im sure I heard it said they were closing supply soon, so what would be the best OS? also is there an advantage to getting media centre 05 XP or Vista ultimate over the stock versions? thanks for any help,
so your saying to swap the GPU with he new GTX280? Well, I dont really want to do a major upgrade for a while yet so figured some futureproofing would allow me to pick up stuff as i need it rather than a complete overhaul. So in the futureproofing state of mind I decided to go DDR3 with the striker 2. Anyone got any comments on case or OS?
Okay then guys, im building myself a new rig, I could do with your opinion on a few things tho. This is my spec so far: MOBO: Asus striker 2 extreme CPU: either a q6600 or a q9450 - is the q9450 as overclockable as the 6600? GPU: XFX 8800gt alphadog extreme CASE: here im troubled, do i go for the cheaper Antec 900, or go for either a coolermaster 1000; gigabyte mercury pro; or a thermalteke armour kandalf? HDD: WD 150gb raptor and a samsung spinpoint F1 1TB RAM: DDR3 corsair 2gb 1333mhz PSU: coolermaster 650w CPU cooler: Arctic Pro 7 OS: either XP or Vista, is Vista really worth it? please give me your thoughts on my prospective build, is there not enough ram? should i go for a higher speed ram? will the PSU be enough? I'm on xp, but I learnt how to use dosbox this morning. Roughly my specs are 700mhz, 256mb ram, and I believe my graphics card is a piece of crap. Well, coming from a console background I'm not too big on sims or rts, generally fps or adventure, tho if a game is worth the learning curve I will try it out regardless. Well if buying hard copy's out then what digital services do you recommend, I know of steam, but what other services deserve merit? thanks guys
