Star Wars Guide

In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin and Obi-Wan return from the Outer Rim to rescue a kidnapped Palpatine during the Battle of Coruscant. They board the Invisible Hand, flagship of the Separatist fleet and its cyborg leader, General Grievous (Matthew Wood). Tracking the captive Chancellor to the observation deck, they duel with Count Dooku. While Obi-Wan is unconscious, Anakin faces the Sith Lord alone. Following a short duel, Anakin overpowers Dooku and neatly sears off both of his hands. Palpatine then commands Anakin to behead the shocked Count. After minimal protest, Anakin gives in to his anger and complies, but instantly regrets it, as killing a defenseless prisoner is not the Jedi way. Palpatine, however, reassures Anakin that Dooku "was too dangerous to be kept alive".

After rescuing the Chancellor, Anakin finds that the flagship is in critical condition, and, with some help from Obi-Wan, barely manages to land its front half safely on an airstrip.

Anakin returns to Coruscant, where Padmé tells him she is pregnant. He is initially overjoyed, but that night has a horrible nightmare of Padmé dying in childbirth. He is immediately afraid this vision will come true, as it is similar to the one he had of his mother just before she died.

Palpatine, who by now has amassed near-dictatorial power in the Senate, makes Anakin his representative on the Jedi Council. The suspicious Council accepts Anakin, but denies him the rank of Jedi Master, and tell him to spy on Palpatine. Angered by the perceived snub and instructions to commit treason, Anakin loses all faith in the Council. Ultimately, the Chancellor offers him the chance to learn the dark side, which he claims holds the power to prevent death. Anakin realizes that Palpatine is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious that the Council had been hunting for since the beginning of the war, and reports Palpatine's secret to Jedi Master Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson). As Windu goes to confront Palpatine, Anakin broods over an inescapable thought: without Palpatine, he will lose the chance to save his wife.

Darth Vader marches on the Jedi Temple with the 501st Legion. Darth Vader marches on the Jedi Temple with the 501st Legion.

Anakin arrives to find Windu holding his lightsaber on a disarmed Palpatine. Windu declares the Dark Lord under arrest, but Palpatine defiantly unleashes a torrent of Force lightning at Windu. The Jedi Master deflects the lightning with his lightsaber back at Palpatine, scarring his face. The attack continues unabated until Palpatine suddenly tires, giving Windu a chance to strike a deathblow. Anakin pleads with Windu to spare Palpatine's life, but Windu refuses, insisting that Palpatine is too dangerous to be kept alive. As Windu raises his lightsaber to deliver the final blow, Anakin intervenes, severing Windu's right hand. Palpatine then springs to life, bombarding him with Force lightning and hurling him out the window to his death. Anakin then submits to Palpatine and the dark side, and is dubbed Darth Vader.

Vader's first task as a Sith Lord is to assault the Jedi Temple and to kill everyone inside, including the younglings, which he does without hesitation. Vader is then sent to Mustafar to assassinate the Separatist leaders, mainly the Viceroy Nute Gunray. After completing this task, he is met by Padmé, who pleads with him to flee Palpatine's grasp with her. He refuses, saying that the two of them can overthrow Palpatine and rule the galaxy together. Obi-Wan, who had hidden himself on Padmé's ship, suddenly emerges. Vader accuses Padmé of conspiring against him, and uses the dark side to choke her into unconsciousness. Kenobi and Vader then engage in an intense lightsaber duel throughout the mining complex. After a fierce duel, Kenobi severs Vader's left arm and both of his legs. As Vader comes into contact with the molten metal, he catches fire and suffers near-fatal third-degree burns and smoke inhalation. Obi-Wan leaves him to die, but Palpatine comes to Vader's rescue.

Palpatine reconstructs his apprentice's ruined body with extensive prosthetics, an artificial respirator, a voice modulator, and a hideous breathing mask. He is then suited in the iconic suit of black armor first seen in A New Hope. Once Vader regains consciousness, Palpatine tells him that Padmé had died as a result of Vader's anger. (She had in fact died in childbirth after delivering Luke and Leia.) As Palpatine intended, this half-truth breaks what remains of his apprentice's spirit, leaving him nothing but obedience to his master and the newly declared Galactic Empire.

The genetic template of the clone troopers was Jango Fett, one of, if not the most feared bounty hunter in the Galaxy at that time, as well as one of the last surviving Mandalorians, an ancient warrior culture. The clone troopers were outfitted with armor **** after Fett's Mandalorian battle armor and armed with weapons and vehicles produced in secret by Kuat Drive Yards and other planets surrounding Kamino.

Clone troopers were grown with accelerated speed, nearly double that of a normal human, though this rate would slow at the biological age of 10.[citation needed] Clone Troopers continue to age faster than humans, giving them a much reduced lifespan. They were trained at Kamino until the age of 10, when they were shipped out to Geonosis to start the clone wars. Their genetic code was altered to make them more docile and subject to military discipline, though some clone units such as the Advanced Recon Commandos (ARC), the Null Advanced Recon Commandos, and Republic Commandos were allowed to retain more of Jango's original personality so that they could more-directly draw on his guile and years of combat experience, as well as the earlier ARCs being trained by Jango himself. It is also noted that while some of the clones do possess a few human emotions including remorse and humor there is little that they can do if an order is given.

The Battle of Geonosis marked the first deployment of the clone troopers as well as the beginning of the Clone Wars. Beginning with the rescue of the remnants of Mace Windu's Jedi strike team, the clone army fought the Separatist forces on the rocky surface of Geonosis, forcing their retreat. Following that battle, the clone troopers were spread throughout the galaxy to engage the Confederacy of Independent Systems. There was a clone named Sergeant Spice (as he was nicknamed.) who unintentionally took out a spire with an explosive strapped to his belt he did not know it was turned on and he destroyed the whole thing even killing himself too.

Clone trooper armies were led by Jedi Generals, who were in turn accompanied by Clone Commanders. Many clone commanders were placed into the ARC Training Program and became ARC Commanders, allowed to add to their standard kit and specialize their armor as well as the armor of their soldiers. The ARC Commanders, unlike their troopers, were often known to outsiders by their nicknames, rather than by their alpha numeric designations, as most clones were. For example: Commander Cody, who served with Obi-Wan Kenobi throughout the war, Commander Gree, who served with Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Jedi Master Yoda, Commander Bacara, who served with Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Commander Bly, who served with Jedi Knight Aayla Secura.

The clone troopers would eventually carry out Order 66 at the behest of Chancellor Palpatine and turn on their Jedi Generals. This marked the end of the Clone Wars, as well as the death of the Old Republic and the birth of the Galactic Empire. It was at this time that the clone troopers became the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps.

should we feel bad?

In games like grand theft auto, with one push of a button we can end a person's life. Imagine if they had a family or someone to care for, what will happen to them? after he's gone they won't have any support. what will happen to them? will tey just starve to death or will they go to a foster family? I mean we can stop all that with just one push ofa button so tell me should we feel bad?

pirates and games

I just saw pirates of caribean at world's end. That movie rocked and I really hope there is a another pirate movie. Also I can buy one PSP game with whatever the price. Any suggestions?
