I don't play guitar hero or rock band, I play real instruments so no. But on the topic: ehhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno that's a tough question. I WAS PLANNING TO BUY Resident Evil 5, but oh boy did that disappoint me when I played it. Last game I got was Street Fighter IV. So atm I dunno games are kinda slacking right now.

This is really driving me nuts. Are they going to incoroporate this anytime soon? It's so annoying I could count at least 10 games where I would've won but the other player decided to pull out when they were getting their ass kicked.
I bought ps3 for MGS and The Show. The Show 08 is one of my favorite game and I have never played a more polished game than the The Show 08. I have a question for people that have MLB 09: The Show. During the demo when you're batting you can right click on the thumb pad an it shows you the batting status of the previous pitch. I don't know what it's called bu the big yellow egg like circle in the middle that screen of that where you can adjust the height of your hits using the left thumbstick. I hate that thing during the demo I wasn't able to remove that. Can you remove that in the actual game?
It is THAT big of a deal to me because controlling the height of your swing in baseball is instinctive based on the pitch. Therefore it's something that happens automatically. I'm a varsity baseball player in my college so little details are important to me and it's annoying. Just to clarity myself of what I'm talking about
I'm talking about when you right click on the thumbstick during batting it shows you your previous swing stats and in there it shows the location of where you choose to hit up downleft right the big yellow egg like thing. Can you remove that in the actual game? Because in the demo it wouldn't allow me to.
Your answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2) Its a Beta. People buy into betas because they want early access to games and want to contribute to the final product.
3) Its advanced access to one of the highest grossing franchises in gaming history along side Mario and GTA.
dadeisvenm
1)It's a demo
2)Beta it's a "fancy" word for demo.
3)Highest GROSSING franchises...Isn't "highest growing franchises"??
1) By definition its not, but by that definition, I guess apples and oranges grow on the same trees.
2) developers would beg to differ.
3) Your point being? the highest grossing GT title was GT3 (14 mil) while GT4 is still selling (currently at 10.4 mil). There is no other racing title (simulator or otherwise) that comes close. GT 5 Prologue has sold nearly as much copies as full released titles in the same genre. Stop hating.
OWNED
I can't see how was i "owned" but ok....
And i'm not hating...I'm just saying it's stupid to buy a 60$ demo and i don't care about the cars or the sells it's overpriced...
You did get "OWNED" if you bought it for 60 bucks when its and has been from the start $39.99 USD SRP.No i haven't bought it
he wasnt owned.. a demo isnt a slice from a finished product.. you always see "this is still a demo, some game aspects might differ from the final product". a beta and a demo are the same thing.. i dont care what devs beg for. and your comparison with apples and oranges was in the best case ridiculous.
We'll I'm glad your NOT a developer. OKAY JR. Tell me the last time a demo was received PATCH UPDATES!!! Honestly Gamespot I thought you there were restrictions against 3-9 year olds posting. :(
3-9 old posts? omfg.. am i the one stating "We'll I'm glad your NOT a developer. OKAY JR." after i just presented facts and proved my point.. lol ridiculous and childish. anyway do i have to repeat myself.. you seem to dont understand.. the definition of demo isnt "Doesnt receive updates". it only received updates cause it was an overrated demo that people had to pay for. you my friend, are a Fail.
(note: no grudge against gt5.. it IS the best racing game.. but i am commenting prologue..)
A game demo is an often, but not always, freely distributed demonstration or preview of an upcoming or recently released computer or video game.
Demos are typically released by the game's publisher to help consumers get a feel of the game before deciding whether to buy the full version.
Betaware is a nickname for software which has passed the alpha testing stage of development and has been released to a limited amount of users for software testing before its official release. Beta testing allows the software to undergo usability testing with users who provide feedback, so that any malfunctions these users find in the software can be reported to the developers and fixed. Beta software can be unstable and could cause crashes or data loss.
A beta version is the first version released outside the organization or community that develops the software, for the purpose of evaluation or real-world black/grey-box testing. The process of delivering a beta version to the users is called beta release. Beta level software generally includes all features, but may also include known issues and bugs of a less serious variety.
Beta version software is likely to be useful for internal demonstrations and previews to select customers, but unstable and not yet ready for release. Some developers refer to this stage as a preview, a prototype, a technical preview (TP) or as an early access. As the second major stage in the release lifecycle, following the alpha stage, it is named after the Greek letter beta, the second letter in the Greek alphabet.
With all this being said, it is asinine to think of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as a mere demo. One reason being that on the Japanese Playstation Network Store, a DEMO of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is available for free which includes two (2) cars and one (1) track. The retail version has several (more then 3.. less than 7) tracks and a large amount of cars as well as a pay-per-view GT TV component and is updated on a regular basis. The Updates include the modification of game dynamics as well as NEW FEATURES. As stated previously, "demos" do not meet the criteria.
Saying... "The Resistance Fall of Man 2 DEMO is availible now!" is grossly egregious (very bad) in comparison to saying "The Resistance Fall of Man 2 BETA is availible now!"
Understand now? :|
lol you guys are funny
Of all the abundance of hated people on XBOX Live, I hate the fake gangbanger worse than them all. Even worse than blaring music through the headset guy, horny guy, and excessive profanity guy. I thought of this topic because I just played UNO in a game with 3, yes, 3 fake gangbangers. I don't know if I'll ever play UNO again...
Anyway, what is your most disliked XBOX Live stereotype? Give a personal experience if you'd like.

Looks like someone is taking gaming a LITTLE too seriously lol..
