I'm tired. **** Should've used the extra hour of daylight saving sleeping. -_-
Well, I don't know what to say. Star Wars is a huge part of my childhood life. I loved the original and I relatively liked the prequels, and I've played tons of games in between. This may be milking the cow a bit too much, but there's so much potential in this, as there has always been with Star Wars.
It might be set a couple of hundred years past Episode VI, so Lucas won't have to rely on past material, smart move I guess.
All that I can really hope for is a trilogy that is awesomely written with awesome action and has awesome characters that I could proudly show to my kids when I have some. The prequels may have sucked in terms of writing and characters but writers have been getting better at understanding the SW mythos, with the apparently 'successful' Clone Wars TV show (I'm going to have to watch it, if it's so good....) and the story of TFU. Oh well.
*Crosses fingers*
It wasn't done by me,
but this is a heartfelt confession that is relevant to many of us frequent users.
Makes you realize that the time spent here is finite, I will keep posting here, but this is a true statement that applies to me because of impending and increasing responsibilities and remembering that I'm not going to be a kid for much longer. But also to enjoy what I have now. I've thought about it; maturity, thought I was just being a bit silly, but I suppose I just needed someone else to tell me.
Well ****. It's that time again. School is back. For me at least, I know some of you suckers are already a month in. *Eyes Scorch-62* It's been a week so far and what can I say? It's school. It's boring, long, and necessary. Not to mention it's a sausage-fest. A sausage-fest that's bat-**** insane for getting high.
The stonerstereotype? It's there. And it's there for a reason.>_>
But, whatever. Damned if I do and damned if I don't. (That's how it feels to me.) But I digress. It's my last year and I hope to make it enjoyable/memorable. Even if it means doing something stupid.
NEXT TOPIC.
So...about 2 days ago. I purchased my first beat-em-up for the first time in... ever. Can you guess?
I'll give you a hint...
Yeah, it's Spiderman. It's definitely the best spiderman I've played, but then again, I haven't played many since Ultimate Spiderman on the PS2. But that's fantastic too. It's fun, and hilariously witty. Everything you can really expect from Spiderman. If you got money, and looking for a simple, but really fun beat-em-up, you can't go wrong with this. Though many will debate whether or not they would buy this full price.
But definitely rent it, buy it, borrow it from a friend, whatever. Just try it.
One other thing I want to ask of you though. Read this and never sleep again.
Cool? Allow me to play you out.
Econoline Crush- All That You Are
I'm not going to lie to you guys, I've liked comics but never to the extent of love, cosplay and downright humilation in front of my peers when I was younger while on the playground. Not until recently. My brother, one day came back from work with a stock pile of comics, saying he borrowed them from his friends. He allowed me to read some of them, they consisted of Marvel Civil War, Superman comics, Blade comics but many of them were Batman.I read HUSH, Dark Knight and Arkham Asylum. And with that, I was sent into Super Hero euphoria. I started watching movies and none of them stood out of my mind as much Under the Red Hood.
Simply said, this movie is amazing and delivers exactly a Batman epic should.
The movie starts with The Joker brutally beating Jason Todd, the Robin at this time. Robin is trapped in a warehouse and we have no idea as to how he got there. When Joker finishes with him, the Joker gives his final goodbye to his enemy with a bomb that explodes before Batman can rescue him.
...What? Are you this behind in the Batman world? Want another spoiler? The climax of the Gospel of John, JESUS DIES.
Anyways, Batman is distraught and recognizes his greatest failure. 5 years later, a man under the guise as Red Hood comes into Gotham city and takes over the majority of Gotham's drug trade by murdering his way to the top with his own code that almost mirrors Batman, with the Red Hood stating that he 'does what he won't.' Red Hood takes control of the drug trade to control the crime with eliminating competition with maximum bloodshed and maximum efficency and shows no remorse killing the criminals of Gotham.
NightWing comes in as Batman's partner in the story, and constantly makes Batman realize the juxtaposition with how Dick Grayson was a successful Robin and how Jason Tood was far more violent and how Bruce ultimately failed Jason as a father figure and as a friend with the movie showing flashbacks from Jason's beginning as Robin to his maturity. The story maintains a fair pacing with much tension and emotion will keep you absorbed with Batman's conflicts.
Batman must face The Red Hood that challenges him, the villains of Gotham's drug trade and Batman's very moral ethic.
Batman: Under the Red Hood does a lot of things well. The animations are refreshing, completely different from shows as well as the art ****being different. The action sequences are exciting and well choreographed ( The fight with Fearsome Hand of Four will stand out quite nicely.) and the story is emotional.
It's also very mature, the maturity of storytelling is evident by the very beginning and shares fairly dark overtone in a similarity to Chris Nolan's Batman movies. But this Batman doesn't relate to Chris Nolan's Batman in much else, or anything else related to the TV shows. Instead this movie relates more to the comics, (The movie flashes back to when The Red Hood was the Joker and shows how he was created.) with situations that date back to the 50's but re tells it more modernly, of course.
The voice actors are superb as well, but not with the nostalgia. With such a dark Batman story, you will wish that Kevin Conroy was still Batman, but it will not be. Same with The Joker, with the voice actor being Futurama's Bender, John DiMaggio and not the instantly recognizable Mark Hamill, but as said, the voice acting is so well done that you won't mind and will really enjoy it.
Batman Under the Red Hood is an engaging story from start to finish and will hold its place as DC's greatest animation movies as well as mine. This movie is a must-see and I recommend it to anyone who even just relatively likes Batman. It's a truly delightful film, go, find it and see it nao.

YAY! 6 days ago I hit the golden age of 17 years young. Great for me. I know it's a bit late, but I've been caught up at the job and working late shifts and coming back tired for the entire of the last week.
I just wanna update my blog and say Happy Canada day to all Canadian GS'ers and Happy 4th of July for all Americans. :)
So for my birthday I got...
Wish he didn't sound like a tool though...
Infamous. Great game, I really needed a good platformer. The fact it's a superhero game is just icing on the cake.
A PSN card from my younger brother. (No idea where the hell he gets money from...)
Bought Joe Danger with it. If you have the money, buy it, it's awesome.
I also got $50 Canadian and a desk lamp from the neighbours.( ) (They're great people, surprised they just didn't say a happy birthday and a card or something.) I got board shorts and a t-shirt and of course many calls from family and friends.
That's all for the blog update. Allow me to play you out.
Necro -I need drugs. (It's actually a good song.)
No, they're not. Sorry to disappoint you.:P
It's been a while since I've made a blog, it's been since Easter actually, I suppose 2 months is more than enough time to accumulate somethings interesting. So my update is as follows...
Music
There's been a thing with me and the music I listen to. I was never really a huge guy who was terribly into music. I listened to what I liked, This would range from Jazz to Nu Metal. Lately, I figured, if I liked a little bit of music, why not get the albums of the artists I like the most?
And so I did.
I've downloaded Man on The Moon and Cudi's other mixtapes, Lupe Fiasco's albums and mixtapes, Daft Punk's albums, Drake's mixtape, and one of QOTSA's albums along with Them Crooked Vultures album (Which I just heard today and is AMAZING.) an album by an obscure song named 'Reverie Sound Revue' and some dubstep songs. So I've got quite a bit of music and I want more. So if you have any good songs, tell me some and I'll listen to them and hopefully I'll download the album. (I'm not THAT into Nu metal. >_> )
Movies
I saw Valentine's Day for Mothers Day. The All-Star cast was stretched too thin and was fairly mediocre to say the least... Yeah, don't watch it. Unless you're in for that inevitable chick flick.
Planning to see Iron Man 2 very soon though. :D
Games
-I just downloaded The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition. I've always had the game, but I never played it because it always confused me when I was younger and eventually threw it out during a clean-up one year. I'm glad I bought it. :)
-In another turn of nostalgic events, I also bought SW: Dark Forces off the PS store and it's exactly as I remembered it, fun.
- I also downloaded the MW2 stimuluspackage and it's much better than the maps the game originally has. The maps are a lot more compact and allow better use of an SMG, which was always my weapon in other CoD games. The small maps are a breath of fresh air.
That's everything for now guys. Allow me to play you out. ;)
"Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead.' - Matthew 28:1-10 Today is the most important celebration for my religion as a Catholic, because without his resurrection, my faith would be meaningless. After 3 gruelling days of Jesus' death, he rises from the dead and gives meaning to many people, including myself and my family. Happy Easter. :)
