@scottyp360: abrams missed everything that made starwars starwars and instead sold its soul to the man children who prefer the original trilogy for the sake of the original trilogy
in context, the first 6 feel about the same. the quality varies but it is consistent in tone. 7 is soulless and lifeless in comparison the the 6 because it set out to give what everyone thought they wanted: an extension of the original trilogy in it's entirety. it caters and aims for a simple mirroring of 4 but misses what made 4 so great -- a brand new, strange universe with so much to explain and expand on. 7 just recreated 4 without adding to the starwars universe and it feels hollow as a result.
