I'm pretty sure the TV show was first.

I love that show so I'm pretty excited.  And Animal Crossing is getting old.

Is the combat system completely different between the two?

Not in to overly difficult games.  I've heard FF games are usually pretty hard.

Is Rogue Galaxy a similar game?  Is it as long a game?
