After spending a bucket load of time playing my way through RE5 three times, collecting 'treasha' and blasting away with my unlimited ammo, I found my eyes drawn to the other RE titles on the self, most notably, Resident Evil 4.
RE4 is one of THE reason's I invested in a 360, so I could eventually play the kick ass next installement. So, I slide the disc into my Wii, and load the game up. Now, before I continue I want to say I respect that games to in fact age with every year due to advances in technology.... but damn, did RE4 look horrid.
Not because I'm comparing it to it's beautiful big brother Re5, but because the Wii just doesn't handle Gamecube games well on a HD plasma TV. I haven't invested in the comp. cables for the Wii, but my research tells me it won't make much difference.... that pure and simple I won't recieve the 1080p I can enjoy with my 360.
Resident Evil 4 is still awesome, and I've managed to look past the visual downgrade and enjoy the game, it's just a big kick in the balls. When Nintendo announced the Wii wouldn't be HD able, I didn't much care, because at the time I didn't have a HD TV.... but now that i do... I can't help hate my little white console a little more. Even if there was some way to play Gamecube games in widescreen, it may help...
I'm being real silly over this, I've turned into one of those guys who are all, "oMg lyke Hd gamInG is teh bestez"..... I'm gonna go play my Wii now..
