@jackbob888: I dont have to be objective when giving my personal opinion of a game I did not like. If we are being objective the game is still objectively a mess with little to no replay value, copy pasted assets from FO4 and Skyrim, a muddled mess of a UI that had no consideration of PC controls, and a terrible port that doesnt allow the PC version to be customized like it should without having to make a custom .ini file. I went in expecting a decent game. I came out disappointed. Objectively and subjectively the game is not good, sold accordingly, and is already going on sell and will likely start seeing some fixes because of the negative feedback. Thats the thing people defending 76 dont seem to get. If Bethsoft gets feedback that says "this is bad fix it" and its as large of an outcry as it is, they will fix it and more players like myself will join. If all they hear is "its great ignore the cry babies" they will never fix it, its games as a service and will get poor support due to low sales, and fail because they didnt get the feedback that needed to be given to fix it. SO objectively its good for the game to get panned by players and critics because then (if Bethsoft actually cares) they will fix it and gain back some lost sales.
@jackbob888: Bethesda didnt market this as "some crappy little spinoff" Todds words were something along the line of "our biggest Fallout game yet" they didnt say its JUST Fallout multiplayer they said it IS Fallout WITH multiplayer. They went out saying its a real Fallout game guys AND has multiplayer. Also GTA V onine didnt cost an extra $60 and exist as its own title it was provided WITH GTA V. Im sorry you didnt like the singleplayer games Bethesda has made in the past. Obviously you would say those games arent for you? Many people like myself said the same thing just about the multiplayer Fallout, its just not for us we didnt like it. So if you can not like the single player games with a story cant we dislike the multiplayer game without a story? Or do people HAVE to like what you like?
@zwoolk: I never said this game shouldn't have come out. You just did exactly what made so many people reviewbomb the game. People who were critical of the game said they did not like it and fervent defenders came out and made themselves look like idiots so it made the haters en mass downvote the game. You can enjoy the game, the game can exist, my review simply stated that I did not like it and felt like I was not alone and wanted people to at least listen to constructive criticism. I didnt want a Fallout MMO and reviewed it by saying I didnt like or want a Fallout MMO. I WILL continue to wait for the next good Fallout singleplayer. I was always ok with waiting. Im not going to kill over from the lack of a video game to play. I would rather developers continue to support singleplayers for long periods post launch because I play singleplayers for long periods post launch. Games as a service are never a healthy thing for a playerbase. But its fine I have stuff I enjoy doing in Fallout 4 and NV and new mods are added to those all the time adding replayability.
