Another Study...
by syam32245340 on Comments
I've stumbled upon this article when trying to search for external hard disk reviews. The study shows that a small group of gamers have been treated like guinea pigs for the sake of the betterment of humankind. Those who play violent video games tend to behave violently, killing others on sight, slit the throat of loved ones, joining terrorist acts, and the worse of all, running naked on the street while holding a controller imagining he is playing Battlefield 3.

The Sphinx - Father of Terror
by syam32245340 on Comments
The Sphinx is one of Egypt's most recognisable landmarks, and has been so for thousands of years - Egyptians carved its images onto their tomb walls, and ancient Greek historians spoke of it. Though the majestic imagery of the lion is a common occurrence, the heads of Sphinxes over the world are different. The Sphinx in front of the Great Pyramid at Giza is the largest one we know of. Despite conflicting evidence and viewpoints over the years, the traditional view held by modern Egyptologists at large, remains that the Great Sphinx was built by pharaoh Khafra, the third ruler of the 4th Dynasty (approximately 2560 B.C. - 2450 B.C.).
In Greek mythology, the Sphinx had the face of a woman and a pair of wings; she wasn't just extremely intelligent, but said to be all-knowing. She would present them with the infamous riddle: "What walks on four hands in the morning, two in the afternoon, and on three in the evening?" Anyone who failed to answer her question would be devoured. It wasn't until the hero Oedipus came along that she was defeated. When he answered her with "Man, who crawls as an infant, walks on two legs as an adult, then uses a walking stick in old age", the Sphinx was so mortified that she casts herself down from the rock and perished.

My Song of The Day
by syam32245340 on Comments
I took a walk around the world
Insanity still troubling my mind
I left my body laying somewhere
But then I forgot where to find
I watched my world float
To the dark side of the moon
I remembered watching Sailormoon
Yeeaaahhhh~
I watched the world float
And I'm still watching Sailormoon
After all I knew you should be one of them
Do you?
I really don't mind what happens now and then
As long you'll stop wearing that skirt in the end
If I go crazy I want you to call me Superman
If I'm alive and well, will you please call me Ultraman
I'll keep you by my side because I'm a psycho man
My precious kryptonite!
You called me strong, you called me weak
You'll just going to make me weep
You took for granted all the times
I'm gonna stomp you down!
I stumbled in and bumped my head
As if the bumper car's so great
Ambulance come and put me back
On solid ground
If I go crazy I want you to call me Superman
If I'm alive and well, will you please call me Ultraman
I'll keep you by my side because I'm a psycho man
My precious kryptonite!
Bam bam kebabooo
If I go crazy I want you to call me Superman
If I'm alive and well, will you please call me Ultraman
I'll keep you by my side because I'm a psycho man
My precious kryptonite!
Yeaaahhhhhhh!!!
If I go crazy I want you to call me Superman
If I'm alive and well, will you please call me Ultraman
I'll keep you by my side because I'm a psycho man
My precious kryptonite!

Trenches IP - A Review
by syam32245340 on Comments
Trenches is a tower-defense based game that has some very beautiful artwork design for the background and especially the detailed soldiers in the game. The game takes place somewhere in Europe in 1914. Thankfully the developer put efforts to study the history before making this game. It offers two playing modes which are campaign and skirmish.
As I first started to play this game the graphics actually grabbed my attention and how I could tell a lot of efforts and skills went into designing the artwork and the overall design of the game but unfortunately that's where the game actually stopped impressing me.
The campaign in Trenches is comprised of six missions that are more or less identical. The only difference is the size of the battlefield and the soldiers that are available to you. The game offers up six offensive troops, and when playing the campaign you'll unlock these one after another with each mission. Being only six missions deep, you should be able to wrap up everything the main game has to offer in under 30 minutes.
In addition to campaign, Trenches offers a skirmish mode that is pretty much a cookie cutter experience of the campaign. While you'll be able to choose options like unit availability and number of trenches, nothing really helps to distinguish skirmish from the main game mode.
Once you complete the campaign you will unlock a special skirmish mode that will actually seperate the experience of killing normal soldiers - the Zombie Horde mode. Rather than shooting live normal German infantry, horde mode tests your skills against the legendary zombies. It may sounds easier than normal gameplay - zombies are stupid so it's easier to kill, lack any artillery and fancy bombs, and travel in slow but ever-increasing numbers. But beware, these brainless military men are not to be underrestimated. The zombies will get you and it is just a matter of how long you can survive the onslaught.
Seeing something as unique as zombie horde mode shows that the Trenches formula can be adapted for more than what you see in the main game – it's just a shame that they didn't show this kind of variety throughout the rest of the offering.
This app has so much potential but for me the game play just did not do it. The campaign is excessively short, the end of the battles leaves you disappointed as there are no rewards except for meaningless scores, more weapons are needed and even after playing for a few hours, I was not able to notice any adaptive difficulty.

Platinum and XIII-2 stories
by syam32245340 on Comments
I took my own holiday from college (illegal one) and went back home for 3 weeks  In that time I managed to finish playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition and platinum both! I spent almost 100+ hours playing Origins and all its DLC and expension. It's really a best buy after Fallout 3 GOTY edition. But whenever I encounter a battle, the game's lagging and everything is becoming slow like I'm playing in an old outdated PC. Even the save system is slow. I have to leave the game for a couple of seconds after auto-save or save manually to avoid frame rate drops and it's really bothering me and spoil my gaming experience. I'm playing in my PS3, not in my outdated laptop! Anyone facing the same problem?
Move on to XIII-2 news, I'm really happy to know that those who play XIII will be provided with a special item and the game will show a series of narrated digest scenes that let players know what the characters have been up to. But I don't think it's considered a bonus as it OBVIOUSLY a part of the game. Square-Enix has done their marketing again duh...
It even have some mini games!
Nevertheless, I've been tempted to get the collector's edition of the game. It looks awesome compared to the first game though.
Sooo many CDs I love it!
They even got a T-shirt!!!
Oh it seems that they are releasing Collector's Edition and if you have extra money to spend, Crystal Edition is the ultimate choice. Read it here and do share your thoughts! :D
10 Spookiest Game Villains
by syam32245340 on Comments
Before you start reading through this humble post, let me warn you that you are going to witness very gruesome images and explicit contents. Wear your helmet!
WARNING: IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF EPILEPSY OR SEIZURES, CONSULT A DOCTOR BEFORE USE READING THROUGH THIS MATERIAL. CERTAIN PATTERNS MAY TRIGGER SEIZURES WITH NO PRIOR HISTORY.
#10 Alma - F.E.A.R. series
You know you've seen her somewhere. Right from the television she crawls, killing those who watchth the tape. Yes the god-knows-where-it-comes-from tape. Wait, it's not Alma, that's the scene from that horror movie. Oh my bad.
Alma is a vengeful and ultimately, psychic villainess of the F.E.A.R. series. She physically shows herself in three forms: Creepy girl in red dress (seducing?), a normal healthy naked woman (yeah!) and also naked emaciated woman (she likes to get naked yes?). Just imagine while you are walking through a corridor looking for enemies to kill, suddenly someone whisper at you and crawl from the ceiling. Whoa!
#9 Psycho Mantis - Metal Gear Solid
Looking at the name itself explain everything. He is a psychopath, toying with your feelings, try to antagonise you in a invisible manner. He wears cheap latex outfit, trying to show his malnutrition body, Russian voice and that mask is indeed creepy. And his breathing sounds like Death Vader *sesh seshsh*
This guy knows how to toy with you. he moves your controller (and it vibrate!), cuts out the scene in the middle of the fight and makes creepy comments (sometimes negative) about the games you've played by reading off the memory card (clever bastard!).
#8 Sephiroth - FFVII
For real? Is this guy really that frightening? In a way, yes. Wherever he goes, he brings with him distruction. Wherever he goes, there are fires burning the peasants and with that very long sword of him, you can be decapitated instantly. He is like a plague, a walking plague.
#7 Zombies
Zombies are a must in my list and one of the most brilliant and successful icon to depict horror. Just imagine a walking dead body growling and slowly approach you talking in gibberish wanting your precious brain.
#6 Diablo
I still remember playing the first Diablo game and the dungeon itself is creepy enough. While making my way through the hordes, suddenly this guy come and splits my head wide open while laughing histerically. Oh yes.
#5 Pyramid Head - Silent Hill 2
This guy is a must in every list of the most spookiest villains. The head is weird enough to make me wet in my pants. The way the game represent this guy make him more frightening with all those dead bodies hanging and scattering around.
#4 Nemesis - Resident Evil 3
He is big, tough and ugly looking monster in Resident Evil 3. The stitch on his face makes him more than enough to make the kids cry lookinbg for their mama. Even his name is made title for the game itself. What more do you expect?
#3 Descendants - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Born from the very curse of the ancient mummy from inside the gold coffin, these mutants aren't to happy to meet our hero. Hunting in packs, they try to scratch your face as though they are jealous or something. The only solution? Shoot 'em in the face with a shotgun. Bam!
#2 Witch - Left 4 Dead
Shhh you've gotta be silent when you walk past her. And please no torchlight! These are the important rules if you do not want to encounter this witch face-to-face. Heed this warning and you are going to find yourself in a very difficult situation.
#1 Hunter - Pokemon series
Just look at its face! And its claws! What more can I say? Gotta catch 'em all!!!
