I'm pretty certain I uninstalled the drivers but im not 100% sure I cleaned them out properly. I'm just about to try the cmos reset now.
[QUOTE="syntax25"]try a cmos reset and see if that helps. Ill give it a shot and report backI hooked the monitor back to the computer and the gpu has been removed already. Just stuck with a black screen and if I unplug the monitor cable from the computer I get the no input signal on my monitor. This is where my confusion is on what to try next =\

The fan on my ATI card was failing and causing it to overheat so I switched back to the onboard card. I went into the bios, switched the video to onboard and now I can't get an image on my monitor, its just black.
Any tips on how to get this working?
My 2600XT's fan quit spinning, im assuming it failed so I wanted to switch back over to the onboard gpu in the meantime. I went into the bios and changed the primary display to onboard and now I can't get a display from the onboard port and from the video card port. I'm uncertain what to do to even get an image to appear on my monitor!
Help?
Yeah I was thinking for doing it about 8 months but it doesn't sound like a good idea. I just keep it as a computer monitor, thank you for the help!
if I had just computer speakers hooked up to the monitor would that work or no?
As I'm in college I'm trying to find short cuts to save money. The cable box in my place has DVI, Component, and I believe HDMI. Is it possible to use a monitor I'm buying to double as a TV? Anyone with any experience with doing this?
I'm trying to decided on a new monitor somewhere between 23 and 24 inches. This is my first LCD monitor, been on a old CRT for far too long. I'm looking to spend somewhere between $150 and $250. In this price range I'm seeing ASUS and Acer monitors mostly. Is there a huge difference between 5ms and 2ms? I'm gonna use this for gaming and for hooking up my xbox 360. Is 2ms worth the extra money?
