Episode 73: Vylon Omega vs the Koa'ki Meirus
Yusuke, Seth, Alicia, and Dex are speeding down the highway and the four line up.
Alicia: I see Axel didn't show up
Seth: Tamika…is something wrong with Neo for her to call us?
Yusuke: I don't know, she didn't tell me anymore than she did you guys. All I know is that Neo is in trouble somewhere. But why is he dueling?
Dex: Please, let's hurry!
All four speed down the road towards AllTech
Opening
At the duel [Neo LP = 1600][Chimera LP = 3700], Neo has no cards out. Chimera has Koa'ki Meiru Valafar [ATK 3000/DEF 2100 LV 8].
Neo: I'm…an android?!
Armen: You sound so surprised. Did you really believe you were a human? Honestly, that false will of yours is so funny
Neo: You're lying! I can't be a robot! I can eat! Drink! Feel! Think! How can a robot do all of that?!
Armen: Please don't use the term robot. It makes you sound like some kind of pre-school science fair project. You are far greater than that Neo. You are my first attempt to duplicate a human being. And it is one of my greatest. You are so lifelike that you can be mistake for human
Neo: I am human! There's no one way you can duplicate something like a human being!
Armen: True, you still have some flaws.
Neo: I'm not flawed! Why do you keep lying?!
Armen: If you think you're so human, answer me this. When you eat food, do you taste it? When you drink water, do you taste it? When you feel your so-called feelings, do you really and truly feel emotions? Or what you perceive as emotions?
Neo: It can't be true…it can't…
Armen: How adorable. You still pretend like you have some kind of pretense of free will. I'll have to study you. Chimera, finish him quickly.
Neo: Hold on! I still don't believe a thing you're saying. I'm going to defeat you once and for all!
Outside, everyone stops in front of the warehouse
Alicia: Tamika, what's going on?
Tamika: Like I said, Neo's in here dueling. And…he's not doing well
Yusuke: Well let's get in there then! We have to rescue him!
Armen turns slightly and frowns. He presses a button and the windows lock as well. Yusuke pounds on them

Tamika: That strategy he's using…
Armen: Oh, so your resolve is forged again? How droll.
Neo: My turn. I summon Shining Angel in defense mode [ATK 1400/DEF 800 LV 4]. I set a card and end my turn
Chimera's Duel Disk: My turn. Draw Phase. Main Phase. I summon Koa'ki Meiru Crusader [ATK 1900/DEF 1300 LV 4]. Crusader destroys your Shining Angel. Core Crusade
It cuts the monster in half
Neo: When Shining Angel is destroyed, I Special Summon a LIGHT Attribute monster of 1500 or less attack points from my deck. I summon Vylon Target in defense mode [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1].
Chimera's Duel Disk: Because Koa'ki Meiru Crusader destroyed a monster in battle, I add a level 4 or below Koa'ki Meiru monster from my graveyard to my hand. I now attack with Koa'ki Meiru Valafar. When he attacks a monster in defense mode, he deals Piercing damage
It spits more fire and disintegrates Target. Before it fades, a laser beam shoots out and spirals around Neo
Neo: Vylon Target, when destroyed in battle, negates any damage I take. And now you don't have Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in your hand. That means both of your monsters will be destroyed!
Chimera's Duel Disk: Quick-Play Spell, Koa'ki Meiru Initialize. This lets me release a Koa'ki Meiru monster to add an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru from my deck or graveyard to my hand. I release Koa'ki Meiru Crusader to add it to my hand. End Phase. By discarding Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru, Koa'ki Meiru Valafar is not destroyed.
Neo: That's odd. He already had an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in his graveyard. Why did he take one from his deck when there was already one in the graveyard? Stupid! I shouldn't be concentrating on his strategy! I should go right ahead and just keep fighting. After all, Yusuke is counting on me! I draw. I use the Spell card Exchange Draw. I can discard one card in my hand to draw 2 more cards from my deck. I set a monster and end my turn.
Armen: Honestly, I thought you would have put up more of a fight than this. I'm glad I didn't give Chimera a Machine Emperor.
Neo: You…you're behind the Machine Emperors?!
Armen: My proudest work yet. They are more than just Synchro killers now. They deserve to belong in their own class of cards now.
Chimera's Duel Disk: My turn. I draw. I attack the set monster. Whenever he attacks a monster in defense mode, he deals Piercing damage.
Valafar creates fire in its hand and blows up the set monster. [Vylon Prism] Neo is almost blown away [Neo LP = 100].
Chimera's Duel Disk: Turn end. I discard Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in my hand to prevent the destruction of Koa'ki Meiru Valafar. Turn end.
Armen: All three of his Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru cards are in the graveyard. So he's already planning for that is he? How mean of you Chimera. Your name is very fitting for you, monster
Neo: I only have 100 life points left….this doesn't look good.
Yusuke and the others are still trying to open the door. Axel drives up and gets off
Axel: What's this about?
Yusuke: Axel! Neo's in there!
Axel: So? What does that have to do with me?
Yusuke: He's in trouble. We need to get in there and rescue him!
Axel: Have you tried the door?
Yusuke: No Axel! I tried everything BUT the door!
Axel: Don't be a sarcastic a [ss]. Hang on; I think I've got something. Give me a minute.
He looks through his D- Wheel and pulls out a screwdriver
Yusuke: A screwdriver?
Axel: Yeah. You can unscrew the bolts to the doors and windows
Yusuke: That will take forever though!
Axel: I don't hear you coming up with any other bright ideas.
Tamika: You're all idiots….what's going on in there? Is that guy…still using that strategy so much like Corey's?
Neo: My turn. I summon Vylon Dart [ATK 1400/DEF 400 LV 4]. Once per turn, if this card is in attack mode, it deals 400 points of damage to the opponent. Straight Shot!
Dart points forward and launches at Chimera. He holds up his arms as he is tackled into a wall [Chimera LP = 3300]. He actually coughs, but catches himself in time and covers the mouthpiece of his visor with both hands.
Neo: He still isn't speaking. What's with this guy? I set a card and end my turn
Chimera's Duel Disk: My turn. Draw Phase. Main Phase. I use the Spell card Core Salvage. This lets me draw a card for every Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru card in the graveyard. There are two Cores in the graveyard, which means I draw 2 cards. Now Koa'ki Meiru Valafar attacks Vylon Dart
Neo: Trap card, Waboku! This lets me negate an attack and reduce any damage I take this turn to zero!
Valafar shoots fire as Waboku blocks the fire
Neo: He doesn't have a Core in his hand. Hopefully that will finish off Koa'ki Meiru Valafar.
Chimera's Duel Disk: I set a card. End Phase. At this time, I discard Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru to the graveyard and negate the destruction of Koa'ki Meiru Valafar.
Neo: What? He sent his third Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru to the graveyard? But he's only allowed to have three of the same card to be in his deck. If all three are in his graveyard, he can't use it to prevent the destruction of his Koa'ki Meiru monsters anymore. What is he thinking?
Armen: Everything is set up perfectly. Now Neo is pushed right into a corner. I'll force that power out of you. Even if I need to drag it out kicking and screaming.
Neo: Alright, my turn. I summon Vylon Ohm [ATK 1500/DEF 1200 LV 4]. With this monster, I can remove from play one Equip Spell in my graveyard and add that card to my hand during the next Standby Phase. Now I use the Spell card Assisting the Weapons. Since an Equip Spell was removed from play, I summon can summon two Vylon monsters from my deck. However, when the Equip Spell is no longer out of play, those Vylon monsters I summoned are removed from play as a trade out. I Special Summon Vylon Cube and Vylon Stella [ATK 800/DEF 800 LV 3][ATK 1400/DEF 200 LV 3].
Armen: Hm?
Neo: I double tune the level 3 Vylon Cube, level 3 Vylon Stella, and level 4 Vylon Ohm.
Cube and Stella become 6 rings that Ohm flies through, becoming 4 stars [3 + 3 + 4 = 10]
Neo: Summon forth, the last and strongest of the robots. Synchro Summon! Burn, Vylon Omega [ATK 3200/DEF 1900 LV 10]
Armen: I see. Your most powerful monster. Or, what you think your most powerful monster is.
Neo: What are you talking about?!
Armen: Use your brain moron. You are my one of my creations. And have you ever seen some of my creations using Synchro monsters?
Neo: Well then I can't be one of your creations, now can I?!
Armen: You still refuse to accept the truth. Honestly, I don't remember programming you to be such a fool.
Neo: Shut up…
Armen: When this duel is over, I'll need to make a diagnostic. Who knows all the damage to my wonderful project after all this time?
Neo: Shut up….
Armen: And to think I asked Angelo and Diablo to go easy on you. Perhaps it would have been easier turning you to scrap metal so I could start completely from scratch.
Neo: I said shut up! When Vylon Omega is summoned, he destroys any monster on the field that was Normal Summoned. Your monster was summoned through Release. That means your monster is destroyed right away! And that you don't have any monsters on your field, Vylon Omega attacks you directly! The Last Cannon!
Omega fires a powerful beam of energy. Chimera is hit in the chest and blasted into a wall. His Duel Disk crackles with electricity and slowly slides to the floor [Chimera LP = 100]
Neo: There!
Yusuke: Neo! He's winning, I can feel it!
Seth: It's going to be a while before I can get this door open. It's really shut tight.
Tamika: What's going on in there?
Armen: Well, this practice duel is useful after all. I now see the fruits of my research being visible
Neo: Are you still keeping up this charade? You aren't convincing anyone! I am human, not one of your machines! After all, I use Synchro monsters and you said yourself none of your projects use Synchro monsters!
Armen: Yes, that would be my question too. Ever since you escaped from the lab, you've been a real pain. First your memory is erased, then you become friends with the Iruiza boy, and now you still remain uncooperatable. And I can't see…that card.
Neo: That…card?
Armen: You know what I'm talking about. You said it yourself. You use Synchro monsters. So why would a card like that be in your deck?
Neo: I…there has to be some kind of explanation…
Armen: …There really is no convincing you. Someone damaged you more than I thought. There's no point continuing. Chimera, stop playing around and finish him already.
Neo: Huh? He makes it seem like this Chimera guy…was letting me do so well this whole time.
Chimera pokes at his Duel Disk and it crackles again. Armen raises an eyebrow as Chimera draws
Chimera: …You shouldn't have done that
Neo: He spoke!
Chimera: I don't like to talk. But I have to in a duel. I'll make it even quicker then. I remove all copies of Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in the graveyard from play. This lets me summon Koa'ki Meiru Science Lord [ATK ?/DEF ? LV 10]. For every Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in the graveyard that I removed from play to summon him, I can Special Summon a Koa'ki Meiru monster form my deck with a different name. As there are three removed Cores, I summon three more monsters
Neo: Three more?!
Chimera: Come forth, Koa'ki Meiru Maximus [ATK 3000/DEF 2500 LV 8], Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord [ATK 2800/DEF 2200 LV 7], and Koa'ki Meiru Powerhand [ATK 2100/DEF 1000 LV 4].
Neo: Phew. I was scared for a minute. But even with four Koa'ki Meiru monsters, none of them can match Vylon Omega's 3200 attack points. He doesn't have any Iron Cores in his hand, which means all four of his monsters will be destroyed at the end of the turn. Which means I can finish him next turn.
Chimera: You should have used that card. It would have been more entertaining than this. For every Koa'ki Meiru monster on the field, Science Lord gains 1000 attack points [ATK 3000/DEF 0 LV 10]. Next I equip Koa'ki Meiru Maximus with Core Blaster. Battle. Koa'ki Meiru Maximus attacks your Vylon Omega
Neo: What?! But Vylon Omega has higher attack points!
Chimera: That may be. When a monster with Core Blaster attacks though, if the target is a LIGHT or DARK monster, the target is destroyed right away
Neo: Wait, but Vylon Omega is a LIGHT monster. But that means…
Maximus and Blaster fire beams of energy destroying Omega instantly. Neo is almost blown back as Chimera points
Chimera: Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord, Koa'ki Meiru Science Lord, Koa'ki Meiru Powerhand, finish him
All three charge Neo at once. He only has time to look up and gasp as all three collide with him [Neo LP = 0]. The attacks shake the ground
Seth: What the hell's going on in there?
The doors and windows unlock
Alicia: They're open!
Dex: Hurry, let's get in there!
Neo: No…I lost…
Armen: Rather interesting. So that is the limit of your power after all. How disappointing. Chimera, let's go
Neo: Wait…this isn't over yet. Fight me again!
Armen: There would be no point. The way you are now, you're too weak. Those friends of yours have clearly made you weak
Neo: My friends have not made me weak!
Armen: Neo, you were created to be a weapon of destruction. A robot so powerful, he can only be known as the ultimate duelist. That is what you want, isn't it?
Neo: You're wrong!
Armen: Deny it all you want. It is already built deep within your memory, into your programming. There is nothing you can do about it. One way or another, your place is with me.
Neo looks down. He and Chimera turn as Yusuke and the others rush in. Armen smiles and turns as Yusuke checks on Neo
Armen: Yusuke Iruiza. You came to save him? You truly are a sweet youth
Yusuke: Armen…you hurt Neo. And you lied to all of us. You're even putting people in danger with the Machine Emperors.
Armen: You figured that out?
Seth: We're not stupid. You'd better come clean right now.
Armen: As if. What, are you going to tell everyone in the city? Who are they going to believe, kids, or the biggest benefactor in the whole city?
Alicia: You…
Yusuke: You're right, Armen. We can't do anything right now. But just wait until the tournament. We'll crush you and anything you try!
Armen: I look forward to it, wielders of the Fate Crystals!
He laughs and turns away as he walks off. Chimera looks at Tamika for a second
Chimera: Sorry…
Tamika's eyes widen and she steps forward as Chimera and Armen walk away. Yusuke's fists clench
Dex: What do we do now?
Axel: No way that guy is getting away with this. It's because of him that Silver was taken.
Seth: But what can we do? He has a point. We can't just accuse the most altruistic man in the whole city.
Yusuke: Like I said. I won't stand for this, all the people he's hurting. I'll stop him once and for all…at the ROFGP
Seth: Count me in
Neo: Y-Yeah
Tamika: Let's…let's just get out of here
They all get up and leaves
Neo: My only place…with him?
