Card of the Day: Divine Twin Machine Emperor- Geminiel
Episode 92: A Divine Machine Emperor
In the castle of the Regal Olympians, they are watching in shock as the Divine Machine Emperor appears in the stadium.
Apollo: Whoa! That thing wasn't in Leon's report!
Vulcan: Interesting. It would appear these Machine Emperors have grown even stronger.
Minerva: Too bad. I would love to get a look at that thing.
Prometheus starts to stand when Jupiter stares.
Jupiter: Where are you going?
Prometheus: I can't just sit here. Seth is in real, genuine trouble here. I need to find some way to aid him.
Jupiter: Sit down. There is nothing you can do.
Prometheus: But Lord Jupiter….
Jupiter: I will hear nothing more on the matter. Seth has been chosen by the Fate Crystals. We must hope we can overcome this situation. Otherwise, he was never worthy to begin with.
Prometheus sits back down and gulps.
Opening
Geminiel floats over the battlefield [ATK ?/DEF ? LV 9]. Barthandus is laughing [Barthandus LP = 550]. Seth looks on with anger [Seth LP = 3700] with Color Warrior Shadowy Black and Color Warrior- Majestic Magenta on the field [ATK 2200/DEF 1100 LV 6] [ATK 2500/DEF 1000 LV 6]
Barthandus: This is so cool! Look how big my monster is!
Axel: That thing's a Divine monster?
Alicia: I don't know. I think it looks kind of cute.
Seth: A big monster doesn't mean it's powerful. I've taken things three times larger than that.
Barthandus: Is that so. You may believe that. But you haven't faced a monster as strong as mine! I use the effect of Divine Twin Machine Emperor- Geminiel! If there is another Geminiel in the graveyard, its effect activates.
Seth: But you don't have any monsters like that in your graveyard? Wait….
He thinks for a second.
Barthandus: Trap card, Transmutation! Trap card, Power Wall!
Seth: Damn…..was that when?
Barthandus: If there is a Divine Twin Machine Emperor- Geminiel in the graveyard at the same time is on the field, my monster gains 500 attack points [ATK 500/DEF 0 LV 9]. In addition, for every other Machine Emperor or Machine Emperor part in the graveyard, my monster gains 600 attack points. There are five Machine Emperor parts in the graveyard [5 x 600 = 3000] [ATK 3000/DEF 0 LV 9]
Seth: 3000?!
Barthandus: And don't forget my monster is a Machine Emperor as well! And last time I checked, you have a Synchro monster out! Go on Geminiel, it's all for you!
Both sets of eyes open. The two faces turn twisted as tentacles lash out around Shadowy Black. It cries out as it is pulled from two sides and eventually is torn in two, becoming two balls of light, each one being sucked into the chest parts of the monster [ATK 5500/DEF 1000 LV 9].set
Tamika: Still think it's cute?
Alicia simply shudders and doesn't even answer. Seth begins to rock on his bike as Geminiel floats over the arena. A dark aura begins to radiate from Barthandus.
Barthandus: Rip! Kill! Destroy! Divine Twin Machine Emperor- Geminiel! Attack his Color Warrior- Majestic Magenta. Dual Gemini Lightning!
Lightning bolts fire from each of the infinity symbols, colliding in midair and becoming a gigantic cannon of lightning. The attack disintegrates Magenta and hits the ground, burning it. Seth looks behind him in shock and tries to speed up as the lightning moves even faster, hitting Seth. He screams in pain as the lightning shocks him [Seth LP = 400]. The attack stops and Seth begins coughing, smoke flying off of him.
Salia: Seth! Seth! Someone please help him!
Arnold: We can't interfere. Do you know how bad it looks for him?
Salia: This isn't just a popularity issue! He's going to die at this rate!
Arnold: It's not just that. I've managed Seth. I know who je is. He would not want someone to get between him and his opponent. He wants to go the honorable route in his fight.
Barthandus: Still alive up there?
Seth: Gasp…..don't….count me out.
Barthandus: Damn, you want more? You must be made of iron or something. Oh well. You're going to wish you would have just lay down and played dead. Turn end.
Grayson: So, this is Project Mu. Amazing.
Armen: Yes, I suppose. But the other four are better.
Sigma: Other four? What are you talking about?
Armen: Come on, do you think I would only make one?
Grayson: More Divine Machine Emperors?
Armen: The Five Great Pillars.
The screen goes dark as five shadows are seen: a set of twins, a knight esqe one, a worm, a humanoid machine, and a giant amorphous shadow that towers over them.
Armen: They were thought of very early. Geminiel was the first. However, other projects came up. It was only recently I expanded upon the Divine Machine Emperors.
Sigma: Hang on, I'm Project Sigma. Geminiel was Mu. How could I be finished before that?
Armen: The titles are my projects are in the orders in which I thought them up, not in the order of creation or completion. Geminiel was only completed recently. In fact, this is its first test run. Let's see if that was worth it. After all, this is the most powerful one yet. Unlike the others, it is not limited by a Core. As long as another Geminiel is in the graveyard, it is unbeatable. Truly a perfect Machine Emperor.
Grayson: Five Great Pillars eh? You're really a slippery one.
Seth: Looks like it's my turn [SPC: Seth = 2 Barthandus = 8]. I was expecting a Machine Emperor. But that thing….that Divine Machine Emperor….I wasn't prepared for something like that. Damn…..what do I do? All I can do is defend myself and hope for the best I suppose. I summon Color Warrior- Infinite Snow-white in defense mode [ATK 300/DEF 200 LV 1]. I set a card and end my turn.
Shimmer: That card can negate destruction…..but that can't stop him!
Barthandus: Nothing but little small fries! I should have not expected a lot from you. I draw [SPC: Barthandus = 9 Seth = 3]. I summon Bat Core in defense mode [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1].
Seth: What? But why summon a Core now?
Alicia: What's he doing? When a Core is destroyed, it takes out all the other monsters. Destroying it would take out Geminiel as well!
Axel: I don't buy that. There's no way he's THAT stupid.
Dex: What other explanation then? Don't tell me….he has another one of those things!?
Axel: Why the hell are you asking me? I don't know!
Tamika: Either way, I don't like where this is going. That Geminiel is going to be trouble.
Barthandus: Let's battle! I attack Infinite Snow-white! Dual Gemini Lightning!
The lightning bolts fuse again and blast away Snow-white.
Barthandus: If there is a Core on my field, Geminiel can negate the effects of my opponent's monsters.
Seth: Damn. So much for sticking around.
Barthandus: Too bad. You were hoping to defend yourself. Too bad it was all for naught! I end my turn.
Seth: Back to me [SPC: Seth = 4 Barthandus = 10]. He's passed the safety line. If he draws a Speed Spell, he can deal 800 points of damage. Or, he could even destroy a card I control. Then again, that monster seems to be the cornerstone to his strategy. If I'm right, he wants to finish me with that. In that case, I need to keep doing what I'm doing and wait him out long enough. Here's hoping I can….I summon Color Warrior- Brawling Burgundy [ATK 1800/DEF 0 LV 4]. Burgundy, attack his Bat Core!
Dex: What's he doing?! It's an obvious Trap!
Barthandus: You fell for it, king! I remove from play one Machine Emperor part in the graveyard. This lets me negate an attack even at the cost of Geminiel's power [ATK 4900/DEF 1000 LV 9].
Seth: I knew it. He had some kind of plan. Now my monster is in attack mode. I end my turn.
Barthandus: My turn [SPC: Seth = 5 Barthandus = 11]. A Speed Spell! I could use this to win….but….
He remembers meeting with Grayson. Grayson hands him the card. Barthandus takes it and looks it over.
Grayson: You'll need to use this card and this card alone. You can only use this card to win as well.
Barthandus: Why do I need this? I've got my own deck!
Grayson: True, but we really need you to use it. Unless, of course, you do not want to be in the tournament. We understand if you don't. We'll just fine someone else then. Too bad, you were the perfect candidate.
He begins to walk off. Barthandus looks scared and reaches out
Barthandus: Okay, okay! I'll do it!
The flashback ends as Barthandus glares up at Geminiel.
Barthandus: It sickens me to have to have rely on someone else's monster. ….Why am I so angry?! This is great! With this card, things might finally change for me. Who cares if I need to do a little dirty work? I'd sell my soul if it meant an end to this! Here we go! Speed Spell- Refueling Station. Now we each draw until we have 5 cards.
Seth: I knew it. He's leaving it to that Divine Machine Emperor. At least I can get a new hand.
Greg: Pretty dumb. Letting victory slide like that.
Leon: What's this guy's reason for doing that? He could have easily won just now. What's his game?
Barthandus: So many cards…and yet how useless they all really are! What am I doing, really? I should just go ahead and use Neo Speed World. Not keep wasting time like this.
He is about to presses a button when he looks to the side. Aslo is standing near the front. His eyes shimmer and suddenly Barthandus slows down. He gulps and looks up as he sweats. He growls in anger.
Barthandus: Oh fine! I use another Speed Spell right now. Speed Spell- Power Gauntlet. Using this, I can send three cards in my deck to the graveyard and raise the power of a monster by 1000. I ditch these three [Dragiel Guard, Batiel Carrier 3, and Crociel Top 5]. [ATK 5900/DEF 1000 LV 9]. In addition, I just sent three more Machine Emperor parts to the graveyard. Which means, guess what? My monster gains 600 more points for each one! I sent three, so that's 2400 more points [ATK 8300/DEF 1000 LV 9].
Seth: 8300 attack points….
Barthandus: I'm not done with you yet. Not even close. Machine Emperor, destroy his monster. Dual Gemini Thunder!
The two lightning bolts collide in midair once more and create a stream of lightning. The monster is vaporized as Seth tries to speed up, but the beam gets closer.
Seth: Trap card, Paint Thinner! This lets me negate the damage I would take.
Some clear liquid appears and forms a barrier around Seth, taking a large chunk of the attack as it blows up, sending Seth spinning out as Barthandus races ahead.
Barthandus: I can't be defeated! I'm the greatest duelist in the entire world! Do you hear me?! The entire world!
Seth: That's odd….you seem like number 64 to me.
Barthandus: Stop making fun of me!
Seth: Let me ask you something Barthandus. Why do you want a higher rank so badly?
Barthandus: Why? What kinda stupid question is that? For the fame and glory! I want to be known around the whole world! I want crowds to be chanting my name, not yours!
Seth: I see. It's a selfish reason then. There's no way….I'm losing to someone as selfish as you!
Barthandus: Then try to beat me punk! Let's see if you even can! I end my turn. Since I used Refueling Station, my Speed Counters go to zero [SPC: Seth = 5 Barthandus = 0]
Seth: Fine, but you asked for it! I draw [SPC: Seth = 6 Barthandus = 1]. I summon Color Warrior- Midnight Chains [ATK 1700/DEF 1000 LV 4]. This monster lets me change a monster into attack mode and battle it. I battle your Bat Core.
Barthandus: You really don't pay attention do you? I can just remove from play a part and negate that attack [ATK 7700/DEF 1000 LV 9].
Alicia: Why does he keep attacking?! He isn't dealing nearly enough damage!
Tamika: All he's doing is leaving his monsters defenseless.
Yusuke: Every time he attacks, Barthandus can negate it. But even if he does, his monster loses attack points. Wait….could THAT be what Seth is after?
Seth: I set a card and end my turn.
Greg: Looks like Seth's going down. Odd. You'd think this Divine Machine Emperor wouldn't be so tough. Yet it's pretty much crushing him. Seems a little excessive to me. Oh well. Whoever I fight doesn't matter.
Barthandus: All you can do is flicker in the wind. Time to snuff you out.
Salia: No….you can't lose.
Shimmer: Seth….you'd better not lose this.
Barthandus: Draw [SPC: Seth = 7 Barthandus = 2]. Well, time to end this. I summon Wisel Attack 3 [ATK 1200/DEF 0 LV 3]. And since there are no Cores on the field, my monster is destroyed. And since another Machine Emperor part has been sent to the graveyard, my monster gains even more attack points than he already did [ATK 8300/DEF 0 LV 9].
Koga: No matter how many times he tries to weaken it, it just won't go down!
Salia: That thing's so strong.
Arnold: At this point, the probability of his victory is only 25%
Salia: Shut up! Percents mean nothing!
Arnold: I'm just saying is all….
Seth: As long as that other Geminiel is in his graveyard, just removing the monsters isn't enough. Wait…the other Geminiel?!
Barthandus: Your monster must feel so ashamed of itself. Having such a weak master must be insulting. Don't worry though. I'm going to put your deck out of its misery. Then everything will be okay. You'll see the pain of being a low ranking. The pain of being a loser. And I'll finally be at the top! Divine Twin Machine Emperor- Geminiel, attack! Dual Gemini Lightning!
Seth: Trap card, Negate Attack! Now your attack against me is negated and the Battle Phase comes to an end.
The two infants fire lightning once more as the two lightning bolts fuse and become a giant laser beam that streaks towards Seth. A mirror appears and blocks a bulk of the attack, but the shockwaves still rock Seth and electrocute him. He coughs in pain and slows down.
Seth: Damn….even just the attacks themselves are hurting now.
Armen: It would appear I was correct. Human emotions give the Machine Emperors even more power.
Barthandus is laughing as the road is torn up by Geminiel's aura.
Grayson: Oh dear. He seems to be going a little over the top now. Perhaps we'd better stop him before he blows the stadium up.
Armen: I see no need.
Seth: Looks like it's my turn.
Barthandus: Better enjoy your title for the last few minutes you have it.
Seth: I….draw [SPC: Seth = 8 Barthandus = 3]. I use Speed Spell- Speed Fusion. I combine Colorless Warrior with Color Warrior- Shocking Yellow.
Both monsters combine in a swirl of color.
Seth: Come on, Color Warrior- Windy Green [ATK 2300/DEF 1600 LV 6].
Barthandus: A Fusion monster. You think that's good enough?!
Seth: It doesn't have to be. Everything is set up just the way I want it.
Barthandus: What are you talking about now?
Seth: Just this. I win. Trap card, Power Switch. By halving my life points [Seth LP = 200], our monster's levels switch [ATK 8300/DEF 1000 LV 6] [ATK 2300/DEF 1600 LV 9]
Barthandus: What good does that do?
Seth: Speed Spell- Power Pickaxe. Now I can remove a monster with a lower level than my monster's and he gains 500 points. I remove from play your Geminiel in the graveyard [ATK 2800/DEF 1600 LV 9].
Barthandus: What good does that do? Wait….no….no! Without that other Geminiel….the one on the field has no effects [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 6].
Armen: He figured out its fatal weakness?!
Seth: How Windy Green, attack! Hurricane Thrower!
It creates a hurricane and tosses it at Geminiel. Both twins are separated and tear to pieces. Barthandus spins out [Barthandus LP = 0]
Barthandus: No! No! NOOOOOOOOO!
He comes to a stop. Seth comes to a stop and breathes deeply.
Salia: He won!
Chris: Impressive. After seeing him fight like that….I'm sad to say it, but I'll let him move on. He deserves it.
Barthandus: How could I lose? Everything was set up perfectly! And yet I lost?! How could this have happened!?
Seth: You really want to know? It's because you didn't treat your monsters with respect. Our decks are like our hearts. Using a deck that isn't yours for greed will never bring you victory.
He turns and walks off.
Sigma: Too bad Armen. Looks like you're so called Divine Machine Emperor still has some bugs in it.
Armen: Yes, it would. Oh well. I'll just improve the next one. After all, this is all helping. Soon, the ultimate Machine Emperor will be built.
He grins widely
