Episode 232: Most Powerful of Machines, Rise Up
As Alice and Takimaru are running, a strange mist blows in.
Alice: A mist? Where did this come from?
Takimaru: Damn. I can't see a blasted thing. This fog is so thick.
Alice: No doubt about it. There's definitely something here. Can't you feel it?
Takimaru: Oh yeah. And I don't like it. We'd better get a move on.
They keep running
Opening
At the duel area [Alice and Takimaru LP = 3300][Tyson LP = 1600], Alice and Takimaru have one set card and Lunar Blaster [ATK 2100/DEF 1300 LV 5]. Tyson has no cards out.
Takimaru: What do you say? Finish him off?
Alice: Of course. Seeing him like that….makes him seem even more pathetic. I can't even stand to look at him anymore. Let's erase him.
Takimaru: Yes, let's. Then he'll be gone forever.
Alice: Lunar Blaster, destroy him! Direct attack!
Tyson: Sister…..Takimaru….is this really going to make you happy? If I just go away forever? Fine then. If helping you means to go away…..then wipe me out of existence.
Tyson keeps crying as Caius stands there grinning
Sir Caius: How interesting. He's completely fallen for the illusion. At this rate, I won't get to study him while he's still alive. Oh well…..I supposed I can settle for his corpse if nothing else.
Alice: Stardust Cannon!
The attack fires at Tyson. He watches the attack and gets ready for the impact as he closes his eyes
???: Look closely. Are these really your loved ones?
Tyson's eyes widen as he looks around at all the laughing faces. He snarls and stands up.
Tyson: I remove from play Disrupted Computer. If I'm attacked directly, I can remove this card from play and negate that attack.
The attack is blocked.
Alice: Damn, I forgot about that thing.
Takimaru: Don't worry. We'll get him next turn.
Alice: True enough. Turn end.
Sir Caius: He's held up a long time. Is it due to his powers? Or simply his nature? I need more research.
Tyson: Alright, my turn. I don't know what that voice meant….but now I know something's up. Think…how did this happen.
He remembers meeting Caius
Sir Caius: Field Spell, Mirror Labyrinth.
Tyson: Right. All of this started when he used that Field Spell. That means my target is set. I summon Heavy Mech Support Platform in defense mode [ATK 500/DEF 500 LV 3]. That ends my turn.
Takimaru: Look at that. Doing absolutely nothing but summoning a weak monster. He makes me sick with his weakness.
Alice: Such a weakling…my brother. I'm sick to my stomach.
Takimaru: Don't worry. We're going to sever such limbs on your family tree.
Tyson: You guys…no! That's not them! I can't fall for them!
Takimaru: My turn. Damn. You're lucky. Lunar Blaster can't destroy a monster weaker than itself. Strike him down! Destroy Heavy Mech Support Platform. Stardust Cannon!
It fires a powerful stream of energy that tears through Platform, destroying it.
Tyson: Wait, what did he say?!
Takimaru: Lucky little brat. Had I drawn a monster, you'd be finished right about now. Until next turn.
Tyson: …My turn. I'm a little more sure now. But I need one more test before I'm 100% sure. I summon Gattiltron Mech [ATK 1900/DEF 0 LV 4]. Now, attack Alice directly!
Takimaru: You can't do that! Lunar Blaster!
Tyson: Thought so. Trap card, Rare Metalmorph. This equips onto a monster and raises its power by 500 [ATK 2400/DEF 0 LV 4]. Now I'm stronger!
Mech fires and destroys Blaster. Takimaru screams in pain [Alice and Takimaru LP = 3000]
Tyson: Got you! I'm not so weak I'll just attack blindly!
Takimaru: You brat….
Tyson: Turn end.
Alice: How dare you hurt the only one I care for!? You little punk….I'll make you suffer even more for that. My turn. I summon the Tuner monster Omniverse [ATK 1700/DEF 1300 LV 4]. When Omniverse is summoned, I get to revive one monster with an increased level. Revive, Apprentice Magician [ATK 400/DEF 800 LV 2-3]. I tune my level 3 Apprentice Magician and level 4 Omniverse.
Omniverse expands and becomes 4 ring that Magician flies through, becoming 3 stars [4 + 3 = 7]
Alice: Synchro Summon! Come forth, Meteor Crusher [ATK 2700/DEF 2000 LV 7].
Tyson: Now I'm sure.
Alice: Strike him down! Meteor Fist!
Crusher charges its fist with fire and punches right through Mech. Tyson falls back [Tyson LP = 1300] as he also falls back in front of Caius. He begins to laugh.
Sir Caius: Well, this is very interesting! I didn't expect your mental state to be THIS stable! But duel wise, it leaves a little less to be desired.
Caius/Alice: Turn end.
At the time, Takimaru and Alice arrive on the scene
Alice: Tyson! Are you okay?!
Takimaru: You….you're one of those Knights aren't you?!
Sir Caius: Oh wow, real observant. What gave it away? The fact I carry a sword or the fact I'm wearing armor?
Takimaru: Why you….
Alice: What have you done to him?! Answer me right now!
Sir Caius: Relax girl, he isn't too harmed physically. Besides, this is giving me good data.
Takimaru: Hang on, you said physically. So how is he harmed then?!
Sir Caius: Such high amounts of energy…..hm; perhaps I'll experiment a little on you next. Right after I'm done with this boy.
He begins to laugh and turns back to Tyson.
Takimaru: We're not done talking!
He runs at the field, but is blasted back
Takimaru: What the? Some kind of invisible barrier?
Tyson: Here we go. My turn. I summon a monster in face down defense mode. That ends my turn
Takimaru: It looks like he's finally given up. My turn! Darn. I use Pot of Greed. This lets me draw 2 cards from my deck. Now for the Spell card Ancient Rules. If I have a level 5 or higher Normal monster in my hand, I get to Special Summon it. Come on out, Dark Magician [ATK 2500/DEF 2100 LV 7]. That's not all! By releasing Dark Magician, I can Special summon this card form my hand. Come on out, Dark Eradicator Warlock [ATK 2500/DEF 2100 LV 7]. Now, go Meteor Crusher. Meteor Impact!
It crushes the set monster
Tyson: When Metal Parasite is destroyed and sent to the graveyard by a monster with a high level, he equips onto it and negates its effects. I choose Dark Eradicator Warlock. In addition, for this turn only, the monster equipped with Metal Parasite can not wage an attack.
Takimaru: Nice move brat. Warlock would normally deal 1000 points of damage if you even try to use a Spell card. By negating its effects, you can use Spell cards normally. But it still won't save you. You'll still lose this brat!
Tyson: I don't think so. Please, this has to be my next draw. If not, I'll lose. Please….I draw. Spell card, Weapon Exchange. By destroying one Equip Spell on the field, all players get to draw two cards.
Takimaru: Letting us draw? That's rather kind of you.
Tyson: I don't care about you. I'm just using this to draw. I need to destroy Metal Parasite though. That doesn't matter though. Now that Metal Parasite has been destroyed, the monster it was equipped with can not use its effects for the rest of the turn.
Takimaru: Damn! You canceled me out again?!
Tyson: Now I can play Spells without worry! Go, Pot of Avarice. This lets me take 5 monsters and return them to my deck and shuffle [Barrel Dragon, Gattling Dragon, Gattiltron Mech, Blowback Dragon, and Metal Parasite] This lets me draw two cards from my deck as well. Yes! I use the Spell card Future Fusion. This lets me send monsters from the deck to the graveyard. And then, two turns from now, I get to Fusion Summon using those monsters [Barrel Dragon, Barrel Dragon, Barrel Dragon]
Takimaru: You think that's enough? Ha! You're so weak! Weak, weak, weak! Even if you get it in two turns, you'll be finished by then!
Tyson: Well, my monster will be here a lot sooner. Go, Overload Fusion. This lets me remove from play monsters in the graveyard to Fusion Summon. I remove three Barrel Dragons.
They fuse in an explosion of fire.
Tyson: Come on out, Omega Barrel Dragon [ATK 3900/DEF 2000 LV 10].
Alice: No way!
Takimaru: Damn….this isn't good….
Tyson: Now for his effect. I toss a coin. And if I call it right, I can destroy a card on the field.
He throws a coin into the air.
Tyson: Heads! And the card I'll destroy….is Mirror Labyrinth!
Takimaru: Sh [it]!
Dragon roars and releases an aura of fire. The aura gets larger and larger as the mirrors start to shatter. Glass flies everyone when the field blows up. Caius, Alice, and Takimaru are blown back by the explosion. Tyson stands there smiling as all the illusions scream and are dispelled, leaving just Caius there.
Tyson: That was a pretty nice trick there. Trying to use illusions to get the better of me. Tell me, can you pull a rabbit out of a hat too?
Sir Caius: I thought my illusion was perfect. Tell me, how did you see through it?
Takimaru: An illusion? So that's what it was!
Tyson: I'll give you credit, your illusion almost had me going. But it was lacking in a few details. For one thing, Alice and Takimaru would never be so rude as to tag team someone. Another thing, you didn't know the effect of Lunar Blaster. It affects all cards out. Alice would never make that mistake. But what really gave you away? You didn't use Darkstar Dragon or Supreme Spellcaster Salazar. Alice and Takimaru always use those cards!
Sir Caius: Heh. I'll give you some points kid, you're smart.
Tyson: Now that the illusion is gone, I can fight like I want to! Omega Barrel Dragon, attack his Dark Eradicator Warlock!
It fires and blows up the monster. Caius hisses in pain [Sir Caius LP = 1600]. He grins and snickers.
Sir Caius: Interesting.
Takimaru: Yes! It won't be long now!
Alice: Go for it!
Tyson: Alright, I'm almost there. I set a card and end my turn.
Sir Caius: My turn. You're a very interesting little boy. One of the Seven Stars. Smart enough to be two grades ahead. Such things are very….interesting.
Tyson: Why do you keep calling me interesting?!''
Sir Caius: What's wrong? It's a compliment. Well, you see, I'm a scientist. Biology, psychology, astronomy, physics. To me, all are interesting. I want to learn. And learn. And to learn, I need test subjects. The Seven Stars have interested me for a long time, so actually fighting one is interesting. But, my research is basically done now. You're no use to me alive anymore. All that's left now….is the dissection. Here we go, I draw. I use De- Synchro. This lets me select a Synchro monster on the field and divide it back into its original counterparts. I turn Meteor Crusher back into Omniverse and Apprentice Magician [ATK 1700/DEF 1300 LV 4][ATK 400/DEF 800 LV 2]. Now I use Claret Note. For every four levels your monster has, I get to Special Summon a Blood Token. Since you have a 10 starred monster, I Special Summon two Tokens. [10/4 = 2.5]. [ATK 0/DF 0 LV 1][ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1]. Next I summon Gagaga Magician [ATK 1500/DEF 1000 LV 4]
Takimaru: You jerk! Stop using my cards!
Alice: Technically our cards can be found in any regular booster pack….
Sir Caius: Things are ready now.
Tyson: Wait….oh no!
Alice: Huh?!
Takimaru: What? He's got five monsters yeah, but they're weak. Hold on….4, 4, 2, 1, 1…that makes….
Sir Caius: Are you just now noticing? Idiot.
Takimaru: Shut up!
Tyson: 5 monsters with a level of 12….
Sir Caius: This has been fun, but I really am just getting bored of this now. I tune my level 4 Omniverse, level 2 Apprentice Magician, both level 1 Blood Tokens, and level 4 Gagaga Magician.
Omniverse becomes 4 rings that Magician, Gagaga, and both Tokens fly through, becoming 8 stars [4 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 12]
Sir Caius: The sun and the moon are swallowed, the stars go out, and all light is suckled away as the earth is blanketed in eternal darkness. Limit Over Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Creator of Darkness- Yamnul [ATK 5000/DEF 5000 LV 12]
Shadows swirl around into a dark blob. Tyson gulps and Takimaru and Alice shudder as something moves inside the darkness. Eight eyes appear and look in all directions as eight legs break out of the darkness, smashing up the ground as the monster emerges, hissing to the sky.
Tyson: A Creator….
Sir Raiza: Looks like he got impatient.
Chaos King: The third. Good….
Takimaru: Whoa! And I thought those things looked big from far away!
Alice: It's…gigantic.
Sir Caius: I had a lot of fun. Don't worry. I'll keep your brain alive at least for study. Yamnul, destroy Omega Barrel Dragon. Your life won't hit zero, but without any cards, you're doomed to fail! Go, Dark Night Blackout!
The gigantic spider shoots out nothing but pure darkness. All light in the area immediately goes out as Tyson is left in the dark.
Tyson: Is this….how it ends…?
???: Will you let it? Won't you be letting people down?
Tyson: That's right! If I lose here….I'll be letting everyone down! Trap card, Useless Software. This lets decrease the level of a monster by 2 and negates its destruction in battle [ATK 3900/DEF 2000 LV 8]
Sir Caius: But can you avoid damage?
The darkness begins to break out of Dragon. It roars in pain as the shadows also hits Tyson, making him scream in pain [Tyson LP = 500]
Alice: Tyson!
Sir Caius: Oh well. Looks like I won't get to examine it for a little while longer. No problem. I can wait.
Takimaru: Hmph. All Tyson needs to do is use that Dragon's effect.
Sir Caius: Oh yes, that reminds me. My monster, Creator of Darkness- Yamnul, can sacrifice 1000 of his attack points and negate his own destruction.
Alice: Wait! But that means!
Sir Caius: Even if you manage to use its effect correctly, my monster will still have 4000 attack points. Not enough.
Tyson: No way.
Sir Caius: Just give up boy. You've lot.
Tyson: No! I need to help people! I can't afford to lose here!
Sir Caius: Ah. Tell me, why do you want to help people? Why do you want to learn?
Tyson: Because people always protect me. And I don't want them to do it forever. I've been trying to stand on my own two legs, but people always keep looking down on me. Going out to fight and leaving me all alone. And I'm sick of it! I want to be on the battlefield with them.
Sir Caius: Aha ha! How droll!
Tyson: Oh really?! And who are you performing this experiment for?
Sir Caius: Who? What a stupid question. Myself of course!
Tyson: Yourself?
Sir Caius: Of course! Information is greater than power in this world. The one who knows more is better all the scum who know nothing. Having friends doesn't make you powerful. Nor does having weapons. Information does! Knowing everything is the key to ruling all! I want to keep learning, and learning! Until the day I know everything! Then I will truly become an ultimate being!
Tyson: But that's….so selfish. What good is having information if you can't help people with it?
Sir Caius: Bah. The same can be said of guns, or friends.
Tyson: You're wrong! A gun can be used to protect someone in trouble. A friend can be used to help someone who's sad. Information is the same way! Yes, you can use it as a tool or a weapon, but you can also use it to help people! That's why I want to use my gift and help people!
His deck glows as golden aura is released from it. All the other Seven Stars' eyes widen.
Takimaru: This feeling….
Alice: Our power….go, Tyson!
Sir Caius: This is….this is not possible!
Tyson: Is this…? I draw. The card Yuji and Raythe had! Does this mean…..I can win now?! Okay, let's go! I reverse the level of Omega Barrel Dragon [ATK 3900/DEF 2000 LV -8] and Special Summon Agent of Seven [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 8]. I tune the level 8 Agent of Seven and level -8 Omega Barrel Dragon.
Sir Caius: What?!
Seven becomes 8 rings that Dragon flies through, becoming 8 black stars. Electricity crackles and destroys the rings as a bright light flashes [-8 + 8 = 0]
Tyson: At the root of humanity, a great age of technology rises up and reinvigorates the world! Zero Synchro! Blast away, Naught Barrel Dragon [ATK 4000/DEF 2500 LV 0]
Takimaru: A Zero Synchro monster!
Sir Caius: I see. Interesting! Very, very interesting! I'm getting so much data!
Tyson: This is it! I use the effect of Naught Barrel Dragon. Once per turn, I can flip three coins. For each heads I get, I can destroy a card.
Sir Caius: That won't stop me! Yamnul can negate his destruction by paying 1000 attack points! You're still going to do it?
Tyson: You bet! Go, toss 1! Heads! Fire one!
It fires, blasting away part of Yamnul as it reforms [ATK 4000/DEF 5000 LV 12]
Tyson: Toss two! Heads! Fire two!
It fires again, blasting away more of Yamnul as it reforms again [ATK 3000/DEF 5000 LV 12].
Alice: What's he trying to do?
