Seven Stars The Final Chapter Episode 229

Card of the Day: Genex Controller

Episode 229: The Fierce Assassin, Sir Ginro

It is late at night. Several pieces of steel are magnetized and create a shell on top of a roof. Something stabs through the shell and tears it open as Ginro steps out. He looks out over the city and dials on a phone

Sir Ginro: At the destination. Orders?

???: Take out the Seven Stars as quickly as possible

Sir Ginro: Yes. Won't the king be upset?

???: Are you questioning me Ginro? You forget the rankings.

Sir Ginro: Yes. True, Zaborg.

Sir Zaborg: That energy signature was not that of the Seven Stars. Someone in this town most know what it is.

Sir Ginro: I'll investigate.

Sir Zaborg: Start with Raythe Nakago. He already has abilities granted by the Seven- Star Knight. There is a chance the power surge came from his advanced abilities.

He turns off the phone and runs across rooftops

Opening

In the morning, Raythe sits up. He rubs his eyes and looks around the room he's in. He seems a little unsettled and gets up; stretching and pulls open the curtains, letting in the sunlight. He opens the door and sees his uncle preparing breakfast.

Shigeru: Good morning Raythe.

Raythe: Yeah…morning.

Shigeru: What's wrong? You sound like a zombie.

Raythe: I'm just not used to this room.

Shigeru: What, it isn't cozy?

Raythe: No, it's fine. It's more…the environment I guess. Something about it just doesn't feel like home.

Shigeru: …I'm sorry. It's my fault. You aren't comfortable here

Raythe: No, it's not that. It's just….in general I'm not used to someone else being around. I've grown up and lived alone for a long time. Living with someone else will take some getting used to.

Shigeru: Well yes, I know that…but I still don't feel good about it.

Raythe: Look, it's nothing to worry about I mean it. Anyway, I've got to go to work. I'll be back later.

Shigeru: Have a good day.

Raythe: Yeah, thanks.

He waves as he drives off. On a roof, Ginro watches him and begins to jump on roofs after him. Raythe looks up as he senses something, but sees nothing there. His eyes narrow as he turns back to the road. A steel shed ripples as Ginro steps out of it. He keeps an eye on Raythe as he drives around. Ginro turns away from the direction that Raythe went in and begins to examine all the houses.

Sir Ginro: Many homes….but only one correct choice.

He jumps down the roof and slides down a building to the ground. He holds out his hands and two gear shaped swords appear in his hands. At Riding Repairs, Raythe pulls up and heads inside

Boss: Bout time you showed up

Raythe: Sorry. My uncle made me a big meal.

Boss: Huh. Didn't know you had family

Raythe: I'm just staying with him for a while. That's all.

Boss: Hmph. You can get started if you want. We're kind of shorthanded now that school is back in session.

Raythe: Yeah, Yuji, Luna, and Enzan have finals coming up, so they need a lot of time to study.

Boss: Yeah. I'm going miss those kids. Luna told me she plans on becoming an ecologist. Enzan says he has plans to leave. Yuji said he probably won't stick around either. All you kids are leaving.

Raythe stops working and grabs a soda, slowly drinking

Boss: So, what about you? You've got any plans.

Raythe: Don't know. N.T City's not so bad. Besides, I want some time to get reacquainted with my uncle.

Boss: Wait, you have no plans at all? Don't get me wrong, this place is a wonderful place to live but…you don't want to stay here forever do you?

Raythe: ….I don't know. I really….just don't know.

Boss: Sigh. Alright, take five.

Raythe nods and gets up. He opens a box and rips out a sub, biting into it. As he sits and eats, he looks over the city.

Raythe: Everyone is starting to draw their destinies…..but mine is still just a blank sheet of paper. This city has been the only real home I've ever had. If I leave….what awaits me beyond the city limits?

He sighs and stands up. He continues working on the D- Wheel. Elsewhere in town, Shigeru is washing dishes.

Shigeru: It's odd washing dishes for more than one person. If it was just me, they'd pile and pile up until it became too big.

The door creaks open

Shigeru: Is that you Raythe? I didn't expect you so soon.

Sir Ginro: Are you Shigeru Nakago?

Shigeru: That's me. But who are….

He turns and drops a dish as Sir Ginro is standing there.

Sir Ginro: I see. Then I'm afraid you need to come with me.

Shigeru packs up and reaches for the phone. Ginro holds out his hand a fork lifts into the air, rushing towards his hand. He pulls away just in time as the fork gets stuck in the wall where his hand just was.

Sir Ginro: Please, don't make this difficult for yourself.

Shigeru gulps. That afternoon, Raythe is leaving the store

Raythe: I'll be back tomorrow.

Boss: Hold on a second son. I've got something for you. Let's see….where did I put it? Oh right.

He tosses Raythe a pamphlet.

Raythe: Let me see this. Heartland University of Science and Technology?

Boss: Yeah. You've got a real knack for fixing machines kid. You could really make a big difference in the world of technological advancements. This is where I went to school. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Raythe: I don't know. This university seems a little big. Can I really just go to college though?

Boss: Kid, you're really smart, trust me. If you work hard, I'm sure they'll let you in. It is just going to take a lot of effort. And it's a beautiful campus.

Raythe: Hm….look, I'll think about it, okay?

Boss: Alright, just make sure you do.

Raythe: Hm. By the way, what did YOU study there? Bikes or something?

Boss: Thermonuclear physics.

Raythe's eyes widen and he quickly leaves.

Boss: ….Why does everyone react like that?

Raythe gets on his bike and races off

Raythe: Well, time for another awkward dinner. Maybe I should just pick something up. I mean….he's trying but it's….hard.

He keeps moving when he slows down in front of his house. He sees the door slightly ajar and opens the door

Raythe: Uncle! Uncle!? Are you in here?!

He sees the fork still stuck in the wall. He grabs it and attempts to pull it out, but it is stuck. He growls in anger and finally sees a note scrawled on the wall.

Raythe: The steel mill, 9:00. Or else….

He clenches his fist and gets on his bike, taking off once again. He drives around town when he sees Alice walking down the street.

Raythe: They don't need to get involved

He quickly drives past.

Alice: Raythe? Hey Raythe! Why's he in such a hurry?

Raythe speeds up ahead even faster and races towards the old steel mill. He comes to a stop and drives inside. He looks around at all the machines lying broken and discarded. On the walkway, Ginro stands.

Sir Ginro: You've come, Raythe Nakago.

Raythe: Hmph, Listen up, I'm here because you said you have my uncle. Now, are you going to hand him over? Or else….

Sir Ginro: The man is unharmed.

Raythe: Yeah. Let me see him anyway.

Sir Ginro: You don't trust me?

Raythe: I don't trust scum of the earth like you.

Ginro points to a chain. Shigeru is dangling from it.

Raythe: Uncle! Are you hurt?!

Shigeru: Raythe…you must escape. It's a trap.

Raythe suddenly turns as knives are tossed at him. He back flips to avoid them. Ginro grabs a steel girder and it breaks into many metal shards that fly at Raythe. He casts Giant Trunade and blows a strong wind that blasts the shards away. Sir Ginro leaps down off the walkway towards Raythe and summons his swords, spinning them rapidly. Raythe moves back as Ginro hits the ground, swinging at him. Raythe ducks and dodges each sword stroke and kicks Ginro in the gut, but he blocks it and moves back, rushing forward as Raythe blocks with his Duel Disk.

Sir Ginro: It is impossible to access his current amount of power this way. The only method is….

He jumps back as well.

Sir Ginro: If you truly want your uncle back, you must defeat me in a contest.

Raythe: Ha! If you mean a duel, fine with me! You'd better be ready to lose.

Sir Ginro: Yes. But this place is not a good place to fight. You might try something. So we're going somewhere else. And if you try something, I let him drop.

Shigeru: Raythe, don't worry about me! Worry only about yourself!

Raythe: Uncle, don't worry. I'll get you out of this miss. This joker doesn't stand a chance.

He follows Ginro outside. Raythe gets on his bike as one appears for Ginro, made entirely out of metal.

Raythe: Speed World 2, set on.

D- Wheel: Duel mode, auto-pilot standby

Both: Duel! [Sir Ginro LP = 4000][Raythe LP = 4000]

Both take off from the starting line.

Raythe: You can go first.. By the way, I'm making a list of the guys I've beaten up. What's your name?

Sir Ginro: I am Sir Ginro. Among the Knights, my rank is 8.

Raythe: 8? So you're stronger than Thestalos

Sir Ginro: You compared me to that weakling. I'm insulted. Draw. I summon Genex Undine in defense mode [ATK 1200/DEF 600 LV 3]. I use his power. Now I send a WATER monster to the graveyard [Genex Undine] and add Genex Controller from my deck to my hand. Now I set a card and end my turn.

Raythe: A monster in defense mode isn't good enough! My turn [SPC: Raythe = 1 Sir Ginro = 1]. I summon Desperado Tornado [ATK 2000/DEF 0 LV 4]. Attack his monster! Tornado Bullet!

He draws his pistol and shoots a tornado, blowing away Undine.

Raythe: Now I set three cards and end my turn.

Sir Ginro: My turn [SPC: Raythe = 2 Sir Ginro = 2]. Trap card, Inferiority. By removing from play one monster in my graveyard, I summon one of the same name, I remove Genex Undine to bring back a Genex Undine [ATK 1200/DEF 600 LV 3]. Inferiority also lets me Special Summon a monster of the same level from my hand. Now I summon Genex Controller [ATK 1400/DEF 1200 LV 3]. I tune the level 3 Genex Controller and level 3 Genex Undine.

Controller becomes 3 rings that Undine flies through, becoming 3 stars [3 + 3 = 6]

Sir Ginro: Swim deep in the ocean as the tidal wave approaches the giant land. Synchro Summon. Bubble, Hydro Genex [ATK 2300/DEF 1800 LV 6].

Raythe: A Synchro Summon deck. I knew that as soon as you summoned Genex Controller. Trap card, Tuner's Capture. This lets me take control of a Tuner monster my opponent used to Synchro Summon. I take Genex Controller [ATK 1400/DEF 1200 LV 3].

Sir Ginro: As planned. Since there is a Genex Controller out, this monster can be summoned without Release. I summon out Genex Furnace [ATK 2000/DEF 1300 LV 5]. Genex Furnace attacks your Genex Controller.

Controller is burned up.

Raythe: Hmph it isn't my monster. I don't mind it being destroyed.

Sin Ginro: Hydro Genex, direct attack! Water Cannon!

Raythe: Trap card, Direct Strike. When the opponent attacks, I can make the attack a direct attack and Special Summon a monster of my choice from my hand. I summon Kamikaze Flyer [ATK 100/DEF 0 LV 1]. And now I use the Trap card Dark Wall of Wind and negate the damage from your direct attack.

A dark wind blocks the attack.

Sir Ginro: You summoned a monster. Not bad. I set two cards and end my turn.

Raythe: My turn [SPC: Raythe = 3 Sir Ginro = 3]. I summon Tornado Fighter [ATK 1700/DEF 0 LV 3]. I tune the level 3 Tornado Fighter and level 4 Desperado Tornado.

Fighter becomes 3 rings that Tornado flies through, becoming 4 stars [3 + 4 = 7]

Raythe: Winds of bravery and power unite together to create a windstorm of new hope. Synchro Summon! Forever Angel [ATK 2700/DEF 1000 LV 7]. Let's battle! Kamikaze Flyer attacks Hydro Genex. When this monster battles, he can destroy himself and the monster he's battling.

Flyer becomes surrounded by fire and pierces Genex, destroying them both.

Raythe: Now you're wide open! I attack directly with Forever Angel. Go!

Sir Ginro: One must always be careful of set cards. Trap card, Soul Within the Scrap. This lets me negate a direct attack. In addition, I can revive a Genex Controller if the damage I took is greater than his attack points.

The feathers are blocked [ATK 1400/DEF 1200 LV 3]

Raythe: Fine, you avoided that. Next time I'll get you!

Sir Ginro: Assuming there will be a next time. Here we go [SPC: Raythe = 4 Sir Ginro = 4]. I summon Genex Doctor [ATK 1500/DEF 1000 LV 3]. I now use his effect. By sending Genex Controller to the graveyard, I destroy a monster. I destroy your monster.

Raythe: Damn!

Sir Ginro: Get him. Research Lightning

Wire shoot out and surround Raythe, shocking him with electricity. He screams in pain as he slows down, the wires forcing him forward again [Raythe LP = 2500]

Raythe: That stung….

Sir Ginro: I set a card. Turn end.

Raythe: You're not bad, I'll give you that. But you're still miles away from my level of skill! My turn [SPC: Raythe = 5 Sir Ginro = 5]. I remove from play one WIND monster and one DARK monster in my graveyard from play [Tornado Fighter and Kamikaze Flyer] to Special Summon Dark Simorgh [ATK 2700/DEF 1000 LV 7]. Attack Genex Doctor!

Simorgh flaps its wings and blows a strong wind, blowing away Doctor. The wind rocks Ginro and he bumps into the guardrail several times [Sir Ginro = 2800]

Raythe: That's what you get for messing with my family!

Sir Ginro: I was not aware you cared so much for that man. Perhaps I had you figured all wrong. Trap card, Creeping Machine. This lets me revive a Machine monster with defense points equal to the damage I took. Come back, Genex Controller [ATK 1400/DEF 1200 LV 3].

Raythe: That monster is starting to get really old. I set a card and end my turn.

Sir Ginro: My turn [SPC: Raythe = 6 Sir Ginro = 6]. I've wasted enough time. Your true power…I need to draw it out. I summon Genex Blastfan [ATK 1600/DEF 1300 LV 4]. I tune the level 3 Genex Controller and level 3 Genex Blastfan.

Controller becomes 3 rings that Blastfan flies through, becoming 3 stars [3 + 4 = 7]

Sir Ginro: Spin, spin, spin and generate enough wind to blow the world into the world above the clouds. Synchro Summon. Windmill Genex [ATK 2000/DEF 1600 LV 7]. This card gains 300 attack points or all set cards. There may only be one [ATK 2300/DEF 1600 LV 7], but now I discard one card from my hand and destroy the set card [ATK 2000/DEF 1600 LV 7].

Raythe: Set card or not, you can't destroy Dark Simorgh.

Sir Ginro: Maybe not now. But soon. Speed Spell- Silver Contrails. This raises the attack points of a WIND monster by 1000. I choose Windmill Genex [ATK 3000/DEF 1600 LV 7]. I attack your Dark Simorgh. Great Wind!

It blows a powerful wind. Simorgh is destroyed as Raythe is actually thrown into the air [Raythe LP = 2200]. He screams as he falls off the hallway and hurtles towards the ocean.

Sir Ginro: It would appear as though you do not have the power. I'm sorry then…but you and your uncle are useless to me now. Rest assured, I'll make it quick for him.

He speeds ahead as Raythe heads close and closer to the water.
