Episode 235: An Approaching Tidal Wave. Terror of the Xyz Monsters
In the room full of clouds, Raiza is snoring on his back. Someone is sitting over him and closes his nose with her fingers. He wakes up panting and breathing heavily.
Sir Raiza: Ah! What the hell?!
???: Aha ha! You should be better about security.
Raiza turns and sees Urma standing over him, laughing.
Sir Raiza: Urma….why did you do that?! I could have suffocated!
Lady Urma: Oh stop being a baby. It was a little joke.
Sir Raiza: Well listen up #5, I'm #4 and….what did you do to your armor?
Urma smiles and makes a pose. Her armor is cut at the stomach area with a skirt that ends at the knees.
Lady Urma: That old armor was far too drab. So I made a few adjustments. What, am I so beautiful you can't look away?
Sir Raiza: Please, do me a favor and cover up.
Lady Urma: Um…what did you say to me?!
Sir Raiza: Don't misunderstand. What I'm saying is it's an insult. Treating the armor like that shows you have no loyalty to the Knights.
Lady Urma: Oh, that's RICH coming from you.
Sir Raiza: Yeah, true, maybe I don't take my job too seriously. But I'm still loyal to the Knights. Why do you think you haven't gone on missions? Obviously the king doesn't trust you. Someone who can't take their job seriously is not worth living among us.

She turns and storms out of the room. She is snarling as she walks down the corridor.
Lady Urma: I'll show them….I'll show them ALL! How dare they mock me?! They'll pay….they'll all pay!
Opening
At school, Yuji is at his locker putting away a book. As he closes it, Luna walks up. She looks nervous.
Yuji: What's wrong?
Luna: Um….I have a favor to ask you. Well…on second thought, never mind.
Yuji: You can tell me. What's up?
Luna: Well…you see….tonight, a representative of the American Horticultural Society will be stopping by the city tomorrow to give me an interview. If I do well, I'll be allowed to join them after college.
Yuji: Really? That's great to hear! So, what is it you want from me?
Luna: Well….I really hate to ask this….but can you please stand by? You know, in case something happens? It's just…..I don't want anything to ruin my future. I know I'm supposed to depend on myself sometimes but…
Yuji puts a hand on her shoulder. She looks up in shock.
Yuji: I give you my word. As long as I'm around, nothing bad is going to happen.
He walks off. Luna is bright red when Enzan slides into view.
Enzan: Well, looks like something happened between you two. Wanna tell me about it?
Luna: N-Nothing happened! I um…need to go!
She hurries off. Enzan laughs a little and leans against the wall.
Enzan: It's good to se her in a good mood at least. After all….this won't last long.
He looks up at the clock with a sad look.
Enzan: After all, our time is running out. We'll divide soon. And I….I still don't know what it is I seek.
He walks down the hallway with a sad look. At the waterfront, Urma stands looking at the water. She growls and spits.
Lady Urma: This water is disgusting. They don't treat their water well at all. Don't they know what a horrible mistake that is? After all, water is the cradle of life. And for them to…
Man: Hey! This area is off limits to all civilians! What are you doing here kid?! Do I have to call the cops on….
Urma turns and points her rapier, blasting a jet of cold water at him. The man coughs as he is blasted into the water. He tries desperately to stay afloat.
Man: Help! Help!
Lady Urma: Cool off there for a little while. After all, a nice bath always makes me feel better. Now then, time to stop wasting time.
She turns and walks off her cape swishing in the wind. At Luna's house, Alice takes something out of the oven and puts it down on the table.
Alice: Okay, let me check on the pudding real quick.
Luna: Thanks such more for doing this Alice.
Alice: No problem Luna. Don't you think you're overreacting a little though? I mean, a four-course dinner?
Luna: I know, I know. It's overkill. But I really want to look good. After all, this could decide my entire future.
Alice: I suppose that's true. Anyway, are you sure you don't want me to stick around later tonight? You know, in case the Knights show up?
Luna: That's okay. I asked Yuji to do it. He'll do just fine.
Alice: Yuji? Are you sure he'll be enough? You don't want to call Raythe or anyone else?
Luna: No, I'm not worried. As long as Yuji's here, I'll be okay.
Alice: I'm glad to see it Luna. That you're taking steps to the future. We're all going to miss you. Enzan will, I know that. Yuji too. Hell, I even think Raythe'll miss you.
Luna: Raythe? Are you kidding? He wouldn't care less.
Alice: I doubt he'd even notice! You'd be gone a month and he'd say, "Hey, where'd Luna go?"
They both begin laughing. Alice stops and folds her hands.
Alice: I'm glad Luna. That you've got a plan for yourself. We won't be together for much longer and I just….I hope you have a happy life….
Luna: …Yeah. I know everyone feels the same way Alice.
They both grin. Meanwhile, at the airport, a man walks and sees Yuji.
Man: You must be the man Miss Riki told me about.
Yuji: That's right sir. Here, let me escort you to see Luna. She's looking forward to this.
Man: Yes, fine. I just think this is overkill. After all, I don't need a guard.
Yuji: Perhaps…but you can't be too careful.
He drives off with the man in a sidecar. Urma is down by the water again when she notices him.
Lady Urma: That's one of those Seven Stars….what's he in a rush for? Oo….I'm getting interested now.
That night, Enzan and Raythe are at Riding Repairs. Enzan yawns and leans back, rubbing the back of his head.
Enzan: Where's Yuji?
Raythe: He took the night off. Something to do with Luna I think.
Enzan: Heh. Of course. He's been sending a lot of time with her lately.
Raythe: I can understand that. After all, in a few months, we'll be leaving the city. We will have our own futures to pursue. I suppose we should get all the fun we can have while we can.
He stops working and stares up at the ceiling. Elsewhere, Yuji is waiting on a hill overlooking Luna's house. Inside, the man is seated at the table across from Luna, eating.
Man: I must say, this is wonderful.
Luna: Oh, thank you. It's my own special vegan recipe. Soy meat and cheese.
Man: Now then, on to more pressing matters. I need to make sure you're qualified for the job. Now, what are your opinions of nature?
Luna: Nature? I LOVE nature! Trees, animals, ocean, I….
Man: Of course. Why would you ask for the job if not? What I need to know is….how should people treat nature? And how should we treat those who do not respect it?
Luna: Well….I….
Her sink suddenly switches on. Water pours out of the faucet and fills up the sink quickly, dripping out onto the floor.
Man: What?!
Luna: Oh no…..
Yuji senses something and snarls. He quickly drives down the hill. Luna and the man back away as water begins to fill the room up to their ankles.
Man: What on earth is going on?!
Water suddenly rushes at him, covering his mouth and nose. Luna gasps as he struggles and falls to his knees.
Luna: I know you're here! Show yourself….Knight!
Urma slowly begins to form out of the water.
Lady Urma; It's been a while…..Luna.
Luna: I thought you might come. Leave this man out of it!
Lady Urma: Hmph. This man talks about nature as thought he actually cares. I hate hypocrites like him the most. He'll drown…..and that will teach him a lesson. After that, then I'll deal with you. No rush.
Yuji: I wouldn't be so sure.
He leaps through the open window and tackles Urma. The water around the man vanishes and he gasps for air. Urma kicks Yuji off and begins to stir the water.
Luna: Stop! If you want to fight someone, fight me! After all, that's why you're here right?
Lady Urma: Hmph. Well, no duh, but I want a little fun first.
Luna: Fun? Looks like you don't take your job seriously.
Urma's eyes widen remembering what Raiza said. He clenches her fist as the water stirs even more.
Lady Urma: Alright then. But don't forget….you asked for this!
She begins to laugh as the water swirls around her and Luna. Luna starts to scream when the water engulfs her and Urma and they vanish, melting back into the water.
Yuji: Luna!
Man: You people are insane! She doesn't get the job, you hear me!?
Yuji: Damn it….come on!
Man: Hey wait, where are you taking me?!
At the docks, Luna is thrown out of the water onto solid ground. She stands up in pain as Urma shoots out on a D- Wheel. She comes to a stop close to Luna who is still coughing up water.
Lady Urma: Now, stand and duel.
Luna: You….you brought us here?
Lady Urma; Sure. This way, no one can bother us. Well, ready to fight?
Luna: You aren't giving me much of a choice. You keep hurting my friends and the people I care about. I'm not letting you go anymore! Let's go! ….Uh….I would say that, but my D- Wheel isn't here.
Lady Urma: Ugh, what a pain….fine, here!
She snaps her fingers. A D- Wheel is spat out of the water. Luna gets on it and they race off.
Lady Urma: Time for your life to end! I'll hold your head under until the bubbles stop!
Luna: We'll see about that. Speed World 2, set on!
D- Wheels: Duel mode. Auto-pilot standby.
Both: Riding Duel, Acceleration! [Lady Urma LP = 4000][Luna LP = 4000]
Lady Urma: I'll take the first turn if you don't mind. I draw. I set a monster in defense mode. I also set a card and end my turn.
Luna: Here we go, my turn [SPC: Luna = 1 Lady Urma = 1]. I summon Desert Jackaloupe [ATK 1700/DEF 1000 LV 4]. Attack her set monster!
It rushes at the monster and destroys it.
Lady Urma: When Sangan is destroyed, I add a monster with 1500 or less attack points to my hand.
Luna: In that case, I set a card and end my turn.
Lady Urma: My turn [SPC: Luna = 2 Lady Urma = 2]. Just what I needed. I summon Skull Kraken [ATK 600/DEF 1600 LV 3]. Now that a WATER monster has been summoned, I get to Special Summon Shark Sucker [ATK 200/DEF 1000 LV 3].
Luna: Two level three monsters? That's odd.
Lady Urma: Heh heh heh. Now I Overlay my level 3 Shark Sucker and level 3 Skull Kraken!
Luna: Overlay?!
A wormhole appears on the ground as the two monsters turn into lights and fly in. The wormhole explodes.
Lady Urma: I construct the Overlay Network using my two monsters. Xyz Summon! Show yourself, Black Ray Lancer [ATK 2100/DEF 600 RANK 3]
Luna: Xyz Summon…..that's right! I read an article about that!
Lady Urma: Xyz monsters. They can be summoned if two monsters of the same level are on the field. The monsters used don't die. Instead, they become Xyz Materials that support the Xyz monster. But a lesson isn't needed. I'll show you its power! Black Ray Lancer attacks! Black Spear
It draws its spear. It flies at Jackaloupe. It looks up in shock as Lancer swiftly chops it in two and it blows up. Luna coughs and slows down [Luna LP = 3600]
Luna: What a powerful shockwave….
Lady Urma: With that, I set a card and end my turn.
Luna: Your Exceed monster is impressive, I'll give you that. But it isn't enough to stop me! My turn [SPC: Luna = 3 Lady Urma = 3]. I summon Playful Possum [ATK 800/DEF 600 LV 2]. By destroying Playful Possum, he returns next turn. And by paying 1000 life points [Luna LP = 2600] when a Beast monster is destroyed, I get to Special Summon this guy. Elsewhere, Yuji and the man are racing down the road.
Man: Let me down! I want to go home!
Yuji: Sorry, I can't let that happen.
Man: Your friend is finished! She'll never get a job from us! Do you hear me?!
Yuji: I know my words don't mean much….but please, just wait a while before you decide something like that. Please….
Man: ….Fine.
Lady Urma: My turn [SPC: Luna = 4 Lady Urma = 4]. Just what I needed. Continuous Trap, Unit Cycle. I use its other effect. By discarding a monster from my hand, as long as its level is the same as the rank of a Xyz monster, it becomes a material monster. So I'll ditch this [Big Jaws] and give Lancer another material [Xyz material = 2]. That's not all. Now I summon Drill Barnacle [ATK 300/DEF 0 LV 3]. Attack her directly! Go, Drill Rush!
It points all of its drills and fires. Luna is hit dead on and screams as she slows down [Luna LP = 3300]
Luna: It hurts…
Lady Urma: Drill Barnacle can attack directly. When it does, it gains 1000 attack points [ATK 1300/DEF 0 LV 3]. I set a card and end my turn.
Luna: I see. Drill Barnacle is going to be a problem. In that case, that thing's my first target! My turn [SPC: Luna = 5 Lady Urma = 5]. At this time, Playful Possum comes back [ATK 800/DEF 600 LV 2]. Next I summon the Tuner monster Elephun [ATK 500/DEF 300 LV 2]. Level two Elephun tunes to level 2 Playful Possum
Elephun becomes 2 rings that Possum flies through, becoming 2 stars [2 + 2 = 4]
Luna: Descend from the great skies, from out of your cloud cover, and show the world you exist! Synchro Summon! Great Thunderbird [ATK 1700/DEF 300 LV 4]. When this card is summoned, I can destroy one monster. Destroy Drill Barnacle!
Lady Urma: I use Unit Cycle. By sending an Xyz Material monster to the graveyard [Big Jaws], I can negate that [Xyz material = 1].
Luna: Perfect. Green Baboon, attack Drill Barnacle!
Lady Urma: As if! Trap card, Ranking. Now, if I have a Xyz monster on the field, it has to be the target of your attack.
Baboon and Lancer collide once again. The shockwaves rock Urma [Lady Urma LP = 3000] [Xyz material = 0]
Luna: Trap card, Animal Power. When a Beast type monster previously attacked, one monster I control gains 1000 attack points. I choose my Thunderbird [ATK 2700/DEF 300 LV 4]. Attack! Lightning Flap!
It shoots out lightning at Lancer. With no materials, it is hit and blows up as Urma slows down [Lady Urma LP = 2400]
Luna: That's all you've got? You're not very strong for a Knight. Turn end.
Lady Urma: I'm….not strong? How….how dare you? How dare you say that to me? Unforgivable. There's no way….I'm letting that slide! My turn [SPC: Lady Urma = 6 Luna = 6]. Speed Spell- Dried Up Waters. Since 3 WATER monsters have been removed from play, I can draw 3 cards. I now summon Killer Frilled Shark [ATK 700/DEF 1500 LV 3].
Luna: ….Huh?! Two monsters of the same level?! No way…don't tell me….
Lady Urma: I Overlay the level 3 Killer Frilled Shark and level 3 Drill Barnacle!
Barnacle and Shark both turn into lights that fly through a portal as it explodes
Lady Urma: I construct the Overlay Network with my two monsters! Xyz Summon! Appear, Aero Shark [ATK 1900/DEF 100 RANK 3].
Luna: Another one?!
Lady Urma: My Xyz monsters are going to overwhelm you. Now, Speed Spell- Exceed Even Further. [SPC: Lady Urma = 3 Luna = 6]. This lets me revive one Xyz monster if I have another one out. I revive Black Ray Lancer [ATK 2100/DEF 600 RANK 3]. In addition, for all the Speed Counters I paid, the Xyz monster gains that many Counters that simulate as Xyz materials. [Xyz material = 3]. Now I sacrifice a material from Shark [Xyz material = 1]. For each card removed from play, you take 100 points of damage. 3 cards have been removed.
Shark fires three rockets. Luna screams as they hit [Luna LP = 3000].
Lady Urma: And now by sacrificing one Xyz material form Lancer [Xyz material = 2], one monster's effect is negated. I choose Baboon. Now then, Aero Shark attacks your Thunderbird.
Shark flies forward and chomps down on it, crushing it. Luna slows slightly [Luna LP = 2800]
Lady Urma: And now the effect of Exceed Even Further. If the two Xyz monsters are of the same level, their power is added together [ATK 4000/DEF 600 RANK 3].
Luna: 4000?!
Lady Urma: How dare Raiza say that? I'll show him~ I'll show him….my dedication! Attack Black Ray Lancer! Black Spear!
It rushes forward. Baboon looks up as it is impaled through the skull and blows up. Luna cries out as the smoke engulfs her and she spins out [Luna LP = 1400].
Lady Urma: This duel is mine! Just quit! To the mighty power of my two Xyz monsters, you aren't even a cockroach! Using these two monsters….I'll crush you.
Sir Raiza: You aren't dedicated…
Lady Urma: And show him….
Luna gets back on track and looks in fear at the two Xyz monsters.
Ending
