Episode 236: The God of Water vs the Master of Fire
As they ride down the road, Yuji is scanning the road.
Man: I'm warning you! I can have you arrested for kidnapping and assault!
Yuji: Just shut it. Trust me, you want to see this.
Man: How will watching a duel make me feel better?!
Yuji: Just trust me….you will.
Man: …Not like I have a choice. But do you even know where to look for them? They could be as far as America by this point!
Yuji: Let me see….that girl used water. That means she must be in a place with lots of water….
Man: Well, there's the waterfront. In my guidebook, this city's ocean is considered the #9th spot for fishing in the country and is rated "The Cleanest Water" in all of Japan.
Yuji: Is that so? That's it then. She has to be hiding out there. Alright, hold on tight sir.
Man: Not like I have a choice…
Yuji: Luna….please just hold on.
He races down the road even faster.
Opening
On the highway at the ocean, the two of them are racing down the highway. [SPC: Luna = 6 Lady Urma = 6][Luna LP = 1400][Lady Urma LP = 2400] Luna has only a set card. Lady Urma has Black Ray Lancer [ATK 2100/DEF 600 RANK 3], Aero Shark [ATK 1900/DEF 100 RANK 3], the face up Unit Cycle, and the face up Ranking.
Luna: Xyz monsters….I'll admit, they're strong.
Lady Urma: Aw, what's wrong? Crapping bricks at the sight of my mighty monsters. Yes, I'll be so. You've never seen monsters so great. If you want to take pictures, that's fine with me.
Luna: Oh please you diva. Your monsters don't scare me. After all, I've taken monsters way more powerful than that.
Lady Urma: Sure. But…you've never faced Xyz monsters before. So…how can you beat something you've never seen?
Luna: I may not know the answer to that. But I'll find a way. As long as my life still remains in my body, I won't ever give up! Here we go, my turn! [SPC: Luna = 7 Lady Urma = 4]. I set a monster in defense mode. I also set a card and end my turn. That's all I can do.
Lady Urma: Lame. Lame, lame, lame! Jeez, if you're going to fight back, at least make it fun. Crushing you like this is no more fun that stomping on a bug. Oh well. Guess I just need to get rid of you. My turn [SPC: Luna = 8 Lady Urma = 5]. I remove another Xyz material monster from Aero Shark [Xyz material = 0]. Now for each card that has been removed from play, you take 300 points of damage.
Shark fires three missiles that hit Luna. She slows down and gasps [Luna LP = 1100].
Lady Urma: And now I use the effect of Unit Cycle! I diss a card in my hand [Aqua Plamsfish] and give my monster another Xyz material [Xyz material = 1]. Now, Aero Shark attacks the set monster! Go!
The monster blows into the set monster. It flies off, but the monster still stands..
Lady Urma: Huh? How is that monster still around? It should be toast right now.
Luna: Mesmerized Kitten negates its destruction once per turn. Sorry, but your attacks will need to be twice as strong.
Lady Urma: Don't get smarmy just because you blocked one attack. I've got TWO monsters after all! Go Black Ray Lancer! Black Spear.
It rushes towards the monster and stabs it with a giant spear, destroying and it blows up right away.
Lady Urma: That ends my turn.
Luna: Looks like it's my turn now. I draw [SPC: Luna = 9 Lady Urma = 6]. As long as I can hold on just a little longer….I set a monster and end my turn.
Lady Urma: Too bad. Looks like fate just isn't on your side. Oh well, just don't cry! My turn [SPC: Luna = 10 Lady Urma = 7]. I use the power of Speed World 2! I pay 7 Speed Counters [SPC: Lady Urma = 0 Luna = 10] and draw one more card. Now I use the effect of Aero Shark! By sacrificing one Xyz material monster [Xyz material = 0], I can deal 300 points of damage.
Shark fires three more missiles that fly at Luna. She is hit and coughs, slowing down as drops of blood begin to drip. Luna clutches her shoulder in pain [Luna LP = 800]
Lady Urma: Aw, that looked like it hurt. Here, let me kiss your little boo-boo. Lucky for you, I don't have any level 3 monsters in my hand at this time. Alright Aero Shark, put an end to this foolishness! Crush that monster.
Aero swoops in low again and swallows the monster [Drowning Fish] and it takes to the sky again.
Lady Urma: And now for the piece de resistance! Black Ray Lancer attacks her directly! Black Spear!
Luna: You've fallen right into my trap! Now that the correct amount of monsters are in the graveyard, this is the perfect time to move. Trap card, Avenger from the Undergrowth. By removing from play any amount of monsters in my graveyard, I can Special Summon a monster of the same level from my deck. I remove from play 7 monsters in my graveyard [Elephun, Desert Jackaloupe, Playful Possum, Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest, Great Thunderbird, Mesmerized Kitten, and Drowning Fish]. Now from the deck, I summon Ancient Crimson Ape [ATK 2600/DEF 1800 LV 7]. And that's not all. Your monster is forced to battle mine.
Lady Urma: Uh oh! Hold on Black Ray Lancer, stop your attack!
Luna: Too late for that!
Lancer rams into Baboon and it hits the monster away. Lancer flies back around as Urma begins to cough and choke in pain [Lady Urma LP = 1900] [Xyz material = 2] just as Yuji and man drive on the road above this.
Yuji: Luna!
Lady Urma: Oh great. Company.
Luna: Yuji! You're here! And….sir?
Man: Hello….
Luna: Yuji, these monsters! They're Xyz monsters!
Yuji: Xyz? But…that's not possible! Those cards are still in production! How can someone have them?!
Lady Urma: How indeed. Too bad you won't get the answer. I'm just going to get rid of you! You're not worth the effort!
Lancer draws its blade and rushes at Yuji. The man screams as Yuji slows down enough to avoid it. It turns and aims to dash again. Urma begins to laugh as Luna rams into Urma and slams her against the guardrail.
Luna: You're dueling me! That hasn't changed! If you want to get to Yuji, go through me first!
Lady Urma: You really want to die don't you? Fine, if you're going to keep up this fight, I'll crush you like a bug between my fingers! By sacrificing one Xyz material from Black Ray Lancer [Xyz material = 1], I can negate the effects of a monster. I choose Ancient Crimson Ape. I set a card and end my turn.
Luna: Looks like it's my turn now. I draw [SPC: Luna = 11 Lady Urma = 1]. I pay 10 Speed Counters and use the effect of Speed World 2 [SPC: Luna = 1 Lady Urma = 1]. This lets me destroy a monster. I choose your Black Ray Lancer!
Lady Urma: Uh oh….I sacrifice another Xyz material [Xyz material = 0].
Man: They both don't have those lights around them
Yuji: That's right! I read Xyz monsters depend on the monsters needed to summon them! Without them, the Xyz can easily be destroyed.
Lady Urma: Damn it….she figured it out.
Luna: Now, I'm taking out those Xyz monsters! Trap card, Twin Tombstone. If I have a monster out, I can Special Summon a monster that has been removed from play with the same level. I summon Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest [ATK 2600//DEF 1800 LV 7] Now I use Speed Spell- Token Exchange. When I have one Speed Counter, I can summon an Accelerator Token [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 1]. It costs me a card in my deck though [Yellow Baboon, Archer of the Forest] Then I summon Hand of Nephthys [ATK 600/DEF 600 LV 2]. Now by releasing it and one another monster, the Token in this case, I can Special Summon this. Come on out, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys [ATK 2400/DEF 1600 LV 8]
Lady Urma: Uh oh….
Luna: Let's battle! Green Baboon, attack Aero Shark!
Lady Urma: I'll take damage….but I release the Xyz material and prevent it from being destroyed.
Baboon clubs it, but it isn't destroyed. The shockwaves make Urma swerve though [Lady Urma LP = 1200] [Xyz material = 0]
Man: Those monsters can be destroyed now!
Luna: Get ready. Ancient Crimson Ape attacks Black Ray Lancer.
Ape clubs right through it. Urma screams in pain [Lady Urma LP = 700]
Luna: And now to finish you! Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, attack Aero Shark!
It shoots fire and the monster burns up. Urma is hit by the flames [Lady Urma LP = 200] as she begins to rock.
Yuji: Yes! Both of them are gone!
Luna: I wasn't expecting that to work. But it looks like I win now. After all, how can you fight me now?
Lady Urma is silent.
Luna: Whatever. I end my turn.
Lady Urma: …My turn [SPC: Lady Urma = 2 Luna = 2]. Turn end.
Man: She can't do anything?
Luna: Looks like this duel is mine then! I draw [SPC: Luna = 3 Lady Urma = 3]. I summon Silver Boar [ATK 1700/DEF 0 LV 4]. Let's battle! I attack with all four of my monsters!
Lady Urma: Trap card, God's Mercy. This negates all attacks. You get to draw a card. And by sending five cards in my deck to the graveyard, I draw equal to the difference between our monster numbers. So I draw 4 cards.
Luna: I set a card. What's the point in drawing all those cards? You can't possibly hope to win this duel, right?
Lady Urma: I'm sick of you….everyone looking down on me….I come from a seaside town. There, fishing was our main source of income. It was the best town in the world. It was our home. But one day, a man from I2 came to town for some reason. He wanted to use our town as a tourist trap. And now my whole town is ruined. Tourists came and fished the rivers dry. Factories destroyed our crystal clear water. And all the while, I just stood there watching. People look down on me, even now. I'm like the water. People look down on me always. They take me for granted. How dare you….how dare you?! That's why! I'll crush anyone who stands in my way! You….Raiza….even the gods! I draw [SPC: Luna = 4 Lady Urma = 4]. I summon Xyz Wizard [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 2]. Now I discard a monster [Spined Gilman] and resummon Fishborg Blaster from the graveyard [ATK 100/DEF 200 LV 1]. Now I use the effect of Xyz Wizard! I discard two cards [Seaborg Serpent and Eria the Water Charmer]. This lets me revive two Xyz monsters whose Rank is equal to the discarded monsters' levels. That means I can revive Black Ray Lancer [ATK 2100/DEF 600 RANK 3] and Aero Shark [ATK 1900/DEF 100 RANK 3].
Luna: But why? They don't have Xyz material monsters. You can't use them
Lady Urma: Oh, but I can you see. As a WATER monster has been summoned, I get to Special Summon my Shark Sucker [ATK 200/DEF 1000 LV 3]. Normally it can't be used for Synchro Summon. But since Xyz Wizard is out, he negates the effects of all monsters on my side of the field. But that's the price I need to pay.

Blaster becomes 1 ring that Wizard, Lancer, Shark, and Sucker fly through, becoming 11 stars [1 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12]. Water begins to spiral together into a large waterspout.
Lady Urma: As the great storm comes, the rain comes for 40 days and nights and the entire earth becomes an ocean! Limit Over Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Creator of Water- Kaiqua [ATK 5000/DEF 5000 LV 12].
The water vanishes as something leaps into the water. A giant sea serpent emerges from the water and hisses at the two duelists.
Man: Oh god! What is that?!
Yuji: A Creator….
The rest of the Seven Stars see this from where they are. Raiza, Willas, and Granmarg are watching this.
Sir Willas: Hm….bad move to egg her on like that Raiza.
Sir Granmarg: Chaos should be coming soon. We should gather it.
Sir Raiza: Urma…you still don't get it.
Luna: Whoa….I've never seen one of these things this so close up before….

And then he came…Chaos King. And so I joined the knights to punish the world. And so I shall! I attack with my Creator! Destroy that Silver Boar! Tidal Wave Wall!
Luna: Trap card, Defend Arms! When my monster is under attack, it does to defense mode [ATK 1700/DEF 0 LV 4]
Lady Urma: Too bad! Whenever my Creator attacks a monster, it removes from play all monsters on my opponent's side of the field! High Tide!
A tidal wave sweeps across Luna's field, dragging all the monsters out to sea. She holds out her hand as they are all swept away.
Yuji: All her monsters…
Lady Urma: With nothing out, you can't hope to win! All you have is two sets! Nothing you can do can finish this duel! You're better off just giving up! Turn end.
Luna: Urma….I pity you.
Lady Urma: ….Um….beg pardon? I stole two of the rarest cards ever. Sinks, lakes, rivers, seas, oceans, they all bend to me. I'm part of the Knights! How on EARTH could YOU pity ME?!
Luna: It's true; some people don't care for nature. But humans are also a part of nature. I'm sorry about your home….but you're stuck in your bitterness that you don't even see that you are what you hate. And that Urma is why….I pity you!

The man's eyes widen as Luna's deck glows.
???: Follow your heart.

Lady Urma: Oh you've gotta be kidding me!
Luna: This light…..it's warm. Almost like…it's calling out to me. Here we go, I draw [SPC: Lady Urma = 5 Luna = 5]. Trap card, Trade. I discard one card and add a monster in the graveyard to my hand. Now for my second Trap, Synchro Representation. By discarding a card, I can summon a Synchro monster of the same level. I discard Yellow Baboon and summon Grand Mythic Phoenix [ATK 2400/DEF 2000 LV 7].
Yuji: There it is.
Luna: And now by reversing the level of a monster out [ATK 2400/DEF 2000 LV -7], I can summon Agent of Seven [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 8].
Lady Urma: …Aha. Ha ha ha! You can't do it! I know your Zero Synchro thing requires having no levels. But if you tune, you'll still have one star!
Luna: I'll show you Urma. How friends can work together. By decreasing the level of a monster by 1, I revive Level Eater [ATK 600/DEF 0 LV 1] [ATK 0/DEF 0 LV 7].
Lady Urma: No!
Luna: I tune the level 7 Agent of Seven and level -7 Grand Mythic Phoenix.
Seven becomes 7 rings that Phoenix flies through, becoming 7 black stars. The rings and stars are destroyed as a bright light flashes [-7 + 7 = 0]
Luna: The fires turn white light and heal the world with its cleansing flames. Destroy the evil, Zero Synchro! Come, Blank Mythic Phoenix [ATK 2900/DEF 2200 LV 0].
Man: Amazing….
Alice: Look, over there!
Tyson: It's….beautiful….
Raythe: Looks like another Zero Synchro monster.
Luna: And now, battle!
Lady Urma: Okay, now you've lost it! Your monster is way too weak! So much for the mighty Zero Synchro!
Luna: Our Zero Synchro can't be stopped easily! I use the power of Blank Mythic Phoenix! By releasing a monster as I battle another, I can destroy the opposing monster and deal damage to the opponent equal to its attack points! I release Level Eater!
Phoenix surrounds itself with fire as Eater burns up. Kaiqua roars and rushes towards it, but the intense light and heat begins to evaporate it. The monster only has enough time to look shocked as it is turned completely into steam. Urma screams as the light knocks her off her bike [Lady Urma LP = 0]. She sits there gasping.
Lady Urma: This can't be….I…..I….
She closes her eyes and turns into water, splashing on the ground. Luna and Yuji come to a stop as well.
Luna: Phew….
Yuji: Luna, are you okay?
Raythe: Hey, you alright over there?!
Luna: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry sir. I didn't mean to get you wrapped up in this. I'll understand if you don't want to hire me.
Man: You can forget about that. There's no need to ask a job from us.
Luna: I see….
Man: ….I expect to hear from you as soon as you graduate.
Luna: Wha….what?
Man: You still want the job right? As far as I'm concerned, you're just what we're looking for. Miss Riki….you're hired.
He extends his hand. Luna tears up and shakes it.
Tyson: That's great!
Alice: I'm so happy!
Cain: Nice work Luna. And you have Zero Synchro boot.
Takimaru: Hmph. We're the only two without it now.
Enzan: She's decided…..her future.
Luna still tears up when all TV screens change to show Chaos King.
Chaos King: Greetings.
Raythe: Chaos King?!
Cain: This frequency….this guy's transmitting across the whole world!
