Episode 237: The Place of the Final Battle

All over the world, people are reacting to Chaos King appearing on their screens. In Nigeria, Kiwa is gasping in terror. In America, people are shocked in the streets looking up at the big screen. In a mountain village, Raika is hidden in the crowd and watches this with a look of horror. In Froesta Town, Sasuke and Serena are huddled watching this as X clenches his fists. In the castle, Mobius and Zaborg are standing there while Granmarg, Willas, and Raiza are taking the chaos while watching this. Sir Delg is in his cell and turns pale.

Chaos King: I understand this may come as a shock. But don't bother being shocked. This is not a threat. This is simply a statement. It will happen. There is nothing you can do to stop it. However, I'm not a monster. I will give you 48 hours. Do all the things you want to do. Spend time with your family. Go out and get drunk. Kill someone if you want. It won't matter. Soon, all you puny humans will die.

He chuckles with then turns into hysterical laughter. The signal then cuts off.

Sir Raiza: His highness sure can babble.

Sir Granmarg: We should return. After all, we have plans to finish.

Sir Willas: Indeed. Time to fit the last piece of the puzzle into place.

They vanish with the Chaos. The Seven Stars still stands shocked.

Opening

At Sector Seven the next day, Cain is speaking with the other heads.

Ivan: This is anarchy. Complete and total anarchy.

Spanish leader: People are starting riots. They truly buy into what this Chaos King man is saying.

Cain: I regret to say Chaos King isn't just some loony. He might very well have been telling the truth.

German leader: So what do we do? If this guy's going to destroy the world, how do we stop in? Send in the tanks, guns a blazing?

Kiwa: That would be a good option. But we don't know where they are setting up base. It'd be like trying to hit a dartboard in the dark.

Canadian leader: So what, we're just supposed to let this guy kill everyone? Even if he is a lunatic, that's a bold statement.

Cain: Please, let's all calm down….

Madagascar leader: Oh, that's funny! When the time comes, you rarely send your men into battle!

Canadian leader: That's because I don't see the point in violence like you barbarians!

Pretty soon, almost everyone is arguing. Cain clearly gets more and more annoyed before he slams his desk.

Cain: I know someone!

Everyone: Huh?

Kiwa: Cain?

Cain: I think….I might know someone who can lead us to where the Knights live.

French leader: You do? Then why did you not say so?!

Greek leader: In that case, we need to send in the troops.

Cain: No.

Ivan: NO?! Have you lost it?!

Cain: I'm not saying don't fight. Just….leave it to me. And my men. We're going to go in and stop Chaos King. The rest of you need to form a perimeter. If Chaos King tries anything, stop him. If we aren't back an hour before the deadline…move in.

Kiwa: Cain….

Austrian leader: Now that sounds like a plan. Alright McKnight, we're counting on you. But one second after the deadline and we move in.

Cain: Thank you. I promise, for the honor of Sector Seven, I will not fail!

He bows and leaves the room. The other leaders sign off.

Ivan: You're a lot like him….like Michael. If he were still alive…he'd be proud.

Cain passes everyone else waiting.

Tyson: Well?

Takimaru: Well what? This guy's obviously insane. He can't destroy the whole world right?

Effigy: Tough to say.

They suddenly appear.

Enzan: GAH! Where did you come from?!

Nihility: Window.

Enzan: But….we're on the top floor….

Effigy: Sector Seven sees it as a threat. That's good enough.

Raythe: Besides, this guy led Andromeda. That means we can't take this Chaos King lightly.

Cain: Come on. We need to interrogate someone.

Alice: Wait, you mean Delg?

Luna: What makes you sure he'll talk now?

Cain: Doesn't matter if he'll talk. If need be, I'll make him.

Luna: What? Make him?! But…

Cain: Look, we don't have a choice Luna! If we don't go for this, this guy will kill everyone!

Yuji: There's no need to shout. The enemy is not among us.

Cain snarls and turns, heading down the stairs to the cells. Hunter G is there watching the frozen Mushiro as Hanson and Jack bring out Delg.

Cain: We've got some questions for you. Your boss wants to kill us all. So, how about telling us where he is? We don't want to get serious.

Sir Delg: …Britain

Cain: Huh?

Sir Delg: It's in Britain. At London.

Cain: London? They're in London?

Sir Delg: Yes….

Enzan: Hold up, why are you telling us this?!

Takimaru: This better not be some kind of trap!

He suddenly stops when he sees Delg sniffling and tears falling.

Sir Delg: I didn't know….what was he planning. He promised us…a new world. Not to destroy it. I'm sorry…

Takimaru: Oh…well….way to make me feel like crap….

Yuji: London….are you sure?

Sir Delg: Positive.

Tyson: Well, are we going?

Effigy: Maybe that's not a good idea. We can't just go rushing in.

Nihility: We need to form a plan, take them by surprise.

Alice; But we don't have that much time! At this point, there's only 36 hours left!

Raythe: I hate to say it, but I agree with Nihility. Jumping in would be like rushing into a tank full of sharks. We need some kind of plan.

Cain: Overnight, we'll work on it. We need to get some supplies stocked and decide our route. In the meantime, you guys do what you need to do. After all, if we lose….

Effigy: Besides, final exams are tomorrow. Don't want you little kiddes to fail now and have no future.

Enzan: What?! We can't worry about finals right now! After all…

Yuji: He's right. We should do finals.

Takimaru: But why?! If we're going to lose then….

Yuji: It's to make sure. By taking the tests, we create a future. It means that we have a goal. It means….we can't lose! So when we get back, we have futures waiting!

Everyone is silent for a minute, but then nod in agreement.

Tyson and Alice: Okay.

Luna: Sounds like a plan.

Takimaru: Whatever.

Cain: It's settled. You go home. Get done what you need to get done. In the meantime, Hanson and Jack, I want you to start getting evacuation plans underway. Try to get the people to the underground bunkers tomorrow.

Jack: Roger.

Hanson: Understood.

Cain: And as for you Delg….we need your help. But at the first sign of treason…

Sir Delg: I won't. Promise.

Hunter G: You can trust him.

Cain: …Well, alright then. Everyone, get moving!

They all leave the room. Cain and Delg walk off as Delg slows before Hunter G.

Sir Delg: Why? Why did you defend me?

Hunter G: You've got friends trapped too. I….understand what you're going through.

Sir Delg: …Thank you. I promise….I'll make Mobius reverse this.

He walks off as Hunter G looks down. She looks at the frozen Mushiro with a sad look. Everyone is leaving the building.

Takimaru: Come on you two, I'll give you a ride home.

Alice and Tyson: Coming.

Effigy: Come on; let's get your training over quick. I need to help Cain.

Enzan: Yeah….

As Yuji walks to his bike, Luna stops.

Luna: Yuji….

Yuji: What?

Luna: We'll win right?

Yuji: Of course.

He turns, but Luna grabs his hand. Yuji turns in shock.

Luna: That isn't good enough! I…I NEED to know! Just say it…..to my face….that everything will be alright. That the city and our futures will be here.

She begins to cry and turns

Luna: Damn it….I'm almost an adult. And here I am bawling like a baby. I'm so useless…

Yuji takes her hand. She turns and turns red.

Yuji: I'll make sure that happens. No matter what, Chaos King will not get away with this. Even if I need to go to hell and back, he won't succeed. Everything will be waiting here for us when we get back.

Luna: Yuji….

They lean close when Raythe walks up.

Raythe: We should be getting home. We need all the time to prepare that we can get.

Luna: Oh…..right! Right! See you guys tomorrow.

She hurries off quickly. Yuji heads to his bike as well. Everyone goes in separate directions. At a castle, Chaos King is seated as the five reaming Knights are seated.

Chaos King: How sad it is. To see our table so empty.

Sir Raiza: ….With all due respect your highness; don't make it sound like they're on vacation.

Chaos King: Indeed. They were defeated, plain and simple. But you, the last five, must regain our honor. Destroy the Seven Stars.

Sir Willas: Don't worry. We'll be ready for the promised day tomorrow

Sir Zaborg: I don't see why. If they're such threats, why not go there and defeat them ourselves?

Sir Granmarg: The time is not right. We Knights must defend our castle when they come. The King's plan depends on that.

Sir Zaborg: Yes, well, no offense my king, but that plan does not seem very smart and…

Mobius suddenly stands behind him with a sword to his throat.

Sir Mobius: Go on. Say it and your throat is gone.

Sir Zaborg doesn't even gulp. Chaos King simply waves his hand. Suddenly, Mobius looks pained and seems to be crushed by an invisible weight.

Chaos King: Now, now. There's no need to fight amongst yourselves. Knock it off.

Sir Mobius: Y-Yes my king!

Sir Granmarg: Such power….

The king continues to sit there, not even reacting to what he did. Elsewhere, Enzan is sitting before a fire.

Effigy: And deep breathing. Enzan, are you listening?

Enzan: Huh?! Yeah, sure.

Effigy: Okay, this is the third time you've zoned out. What's up?

Enzan: Nothing's wrong. Nothing at all!

Effigy: Dude, someone blind and deaf could see something's up. Come on, spill.

Enzan: I said it's nothing alright? Just drop it.

Effigy: You want to go with them, don't you?

Enzan: Huh?

Effigy: I understand. They're your friends after all. You can't leave them behind. But your Hot Heart….what about it?

Enzan: I want to control it, yeah. But…my friends need me. That's all I'm worried about right now. My future….and my power…maybe if I go, I'll figure it out. That's why….

Effigy: Alright, alright. Say no more. You can go. But I'm tagging along. No way am I missing this.

Shaman: As am I.

He is suddenly there and Enzan falls back.

Enzan: What is it with you people and appearing out of nowhere!?

Effigy: Hey old guy.

Shaman: I told you not to call me that.

Enzan: Who asked you?! You need to learn to butt out!

Shaman: And what if your Hot Heart goes out of control like last time? Hm? Will you be able to accept that?

Enzan: I….

Shaman: You must know you will most likely end up fighting. That's why I'm going. Your fight is your problem. But your power is mine. I'm keeping you in check.

He walks off. Enzan clenches his fist. Effigy opens his mouth to say something and shuts it. Nihility walks up.

Nihility: He's a fool.

Effigy: Yeah. But…he reminds me of when I was young. He'll go far. His heart is in the right place at least.

Nihility: True. But if his power is out of his control, he is more of a threat than an aid.

Effigy folds his arms and doesn't answer. At Raythe's house, his uncle is washing dishes as Raythe sits there.

Shigeru: Your mind's made up.

Raythe: Yeah. I'm going to fight against this Chaos King man. There's no way I'm letting him destroy the world. So please don't protest and….

Shigeru: I won't protest. You've done a lot of good. I know you can keep doing well. But promise me….promise me you'll come home. When all this is over.

Raythe: That's all?

Shigeru: I just met you again! And….I don't want to see you go away….not like that…

Raythe: Uncle….you take me too lightly. I'm not going to lose to a bunch of dorks in armor!

At Alice and Tyson's house, they are studying.

Alice: Finals are tomorrow. Have you made sure you studied enough?

Tyson: I was already prepared. Still, even I wasn't expecting the school to move them up. It must be because of Chaos King….

Alice: Don't worry. We're going to put a stop to him.

Tyson: I know….it's just…..after this our paths will divide. And then we'll never see each other again.

Alice: Hey, come on. Don't say something like that. It's like what Yuji always said. Even if we're far apart, we will never let our union end.

Tyson: True. Guess….it's just nerves. Just….nerves….

He begins to shiver and sob. Alice smiles and hugs him, but she herself begins to shudder and sob. Elsewhere, Luna is packing a suitcase.

Luna: Alright, that's everything.

Takimaru knocks and walks in.

Takimaru: You're getting ready awfully early.

Luna: I know. It's because when we get back, I'll have a job interview in America. I need to be ready ahead of time

Takimaru: Assuming we can win of course.

Luna: What?! Of course we can win! Don't be so negative!

Takimaru: I'm just saying is all. There is a chance we might not after all. I've…..been thinking. If there is a chance we might lose….I should tell Alice how I feel.

Luna: Tell her? What?

Takimaru: You know….I….

Luna: ….No, don't do it now. She really believes we can win. If you tell her that, she'll start to lose hope. So wait. And tell her afterwards…..when we win.

Takimaru: I guess you're right….

Luna stops putting stuff away and thinks

Luna: Yes….me too….

At Sector Seven, Cain is drawing a map with Delg. At home, Yuji is watching the sun rise.

Yuji: When this day is over, please go evacuate.

Mother: You're going.

Yuji: I have to. This maniac is threatening our home.

Mother: I see. Then….do your best.

Yuji turns and nods. Later, they are at school.

Teacher: Please, take your time on these. Normally these would be spread out, but because of….you know, you only have a day. As soon as you finish one, please start another. Turn then all in at the end of the day.

All the students begin working. The day passes as everyone keeps writing. Some students look determined while others look nervous. The sun shifts positions in the sky as Cain finishes and stands up, walking off. At the end of the day, all tests are passed in.

Teacher: And that's it. Thank you all for coming in. I know it was short notice, but you did great. And….whatever happens, you all were great students. I look forward to seeing what you do with yourselves.

Yuji, Enzan, Luna, Tyson, and Takimaru stand up. They leave the building as Effigy, Nihility, Shaman, Hunter G, Delg, Hanson, Raythe, and Alice stand there.

Raythe: About time. You guys ready?

Yuji turns to his friends. They all nod. Yuji nods.

Alice: The helicopter should be here soon.

Tyson: What are you all doing here?

Hanson: Not for a cookout.

Hunter G: We're going too. We're ending this once and for all.

Yuji: Everyone, are you sure?

Effigy: Too late to go back now, am I right?

Nihility: These fools were so persistent.

Shaman: Consider us backup.

Enzan: Unneeded, but whatever.

Takimaru: Hey, help is help.

Luna: Thank you, everyone. We really appreciate it.

A strong wind blows as a helicopter begins to descend.

Cain: All aboard!

Raythe: It's funny….

Yuji: What is?

Raythe: This is just like when we went to fight the Dark Claw.

Yuji: I guess it is. You ready for this?

Raythe: You're in charge. After everything, I'd follow you to Hades and back. But just so you know, if you get us killed, I'll murder you.

He smirks while he says. Yuji smiles and turns to the helicopter.

Yuji: Let's go
