If the game has multiple paths depending on the choices you make then I would say replay value is vital, but if it's generally linear then no.

They're using the id Tech 5 engine for this, so be prepared to upgrade your already half-decent computers.

I think it's the exact opposite. Most games have been getting way too much credit than they should. The more often develepers produce games, the less likely we are to buy their next release. So much goes into commercializing games these days, that we hype ourselves up by watching everything they have to show us and then when the game finally gets released our expectations are lowered.

I completely disagree. If you aren't spending time helping out strangers, skinning coyotes or looking for herbs; than you're not gonna have a good time.
