[QUOTE="tOnYTk07"]Quick question bro. Im looking for an hdmi cable that can connect to anything that has an hdmi port. My question is does brand name really matter, I mean people say monster's the way to go and then others say any philips or rca or any other brand is the same thing. Any help would be appreaciated and if you do know some, mind telling me where I can get them.

Thanks.

Let me put it to you this way. On the Discovery Channel, they profiled the mansion of Monster Cable's founder. It was HUGE, ridiculously HUGE. He had two theaters built into it and all kinds of wireless networking. What does that tell you about the markup and profit made on Monster Cables' products?

From my experience, there is not a bit of difference between a $10 video cable and a $100 video cable (in fact, a friend of mine who used to work for an electronics store would regale me with stories about the ludicrous markups on fancy cables). I myself own a cheap HDMI cable that I ordered from www.monoprice.com and as an experiment, I had a friend who bought a Monster $150 HDMI cable come over and we switched between my cheap cable and his expensive one. After a lot of squinting and tilting of the head and rubbing of the eyes, even he admitted that he could not see a difference between them (I even ran a blind test where I would switch between the cables and ask him which one was plugged up, the cheap one or the expensive one; he couldn't guess).

So save yourself some money that you can use towards games or movies and go with the cheap generic cables. I've used www.monoprice.com several times and I'm very satisfied with them.

Damn that really made it clear to me. I was expecting a short answer but lol. Thanks bro I really appreciated it if it's not a bother would you mind telling me what cable you bought and around how long did it take to get to you(shipping) Thanks.

[QUOTE="Unknown_Gamer69"][QUOTE="REVENGEotSITH"]Well, my 360 finally died. I had it since 1 Jan 06. 3 red lights of death. The thing is, the first time it happened on Friday, I was able to get the system to work after unplugging some cables, etc. Now, it just is flat-out dead. Called the 18004MYXBOX and they said it could take up to 2 weeks just for me to get the stupid shipping box. I'm thinking about sending it myself to McAllen, TX just so it gets there faster. Has anyone tried to return a 360 to WalMart long after you bought it? They have a pretty good return policy. Does anyone know of somewhere that rents 360 systems? Overall, this sucks, but I hope that my 360 gets fixed (since you'd think that Microsoft should be VERY familiar with this problem) for a long time.

Just get it fixed. I have it worse because not only did mine break, I got it fixed and it broke again nearly a month later.

Damn dude that sucks im hoping mine does'nt do that when I get it back.

Same here bro had mine since jan 1, 2006. 2 weeks damn that's alot to get the box, it only took me five days to get it.

ps. I live in arkansa

They said it was due to the holiday season that the box would take so long to get to my house. I say that's b.s., but whatever. I just don't know what I am going to do to fill the gap between now and when I finally get my fixed 360 back (probably a month from now). I may just go buy a Core system and see if I can return that to the store when I get my repaired 360 back from Microsoft. If I can't then, I'll just sell it on ebay to recoup most of my costs.

Yea Im also thinking to buy a core and then returning it to the store. I know walmart sometimes takes stuff open but i don't wanna risk it. I think i'll just trade it at gamestop or game crazy if i do purchase a core. Anybody know how much you can get at either store?
