sometimes when i get shot, i'll already be around a corner on my screen, but when the replay shows me what happened, it shows me still outside of a building, or in the enemy's sight. so i'm assuming it's my internet.

I play a lot of COD 4 and GOW 2, and whenever I shoot, it takes about half a second for my shots to hit. Now half a second might not sound like much, but when you're face to face with someone and you shoot at the same time, you're always going to lose. I have two computers using the same cable modem, but it doesn't make a difference whether someone is using the other computer at the same time or not. When I play online games on my computer, like counter-strike 1.6, there is no delay at all.

Can anyone help?

Appearantly, I lag a lot on xbox live. The only time i see it is when I'm playing UFC 2009 Undisputed, but i get messages all the time about my lag when I play other games. I have two computers on one router. One in my room, and one downstairs that my family uses. The lag isn't caused by people downloading things downstairs. My gameplay never changes, and I've even woken up at 3 am to try it out one time and nothing changed. The router is not wireless. My internet is fast. I've googled this for about an hour now, and I havn't found anything. My mom said that when i first got xbox live, something popped up on the downstairs computer. I told her just to ignore it. Could it have been important? Any help would be appreciated.
