It seems that everyone isn't into fighitng games anymore, and I'm starting to get a little angry about it.  I hear people say that they take no skill, or the 2D games look crappy, blah blah.  In my opinion, fighting games are the games that take the most skill to improve in the game, and they have the best competition.  FPS's are filled with hackers and all that stupid crap, so competition can be a pain in the butt sometimes.  This dooen't happen in fighting games at all, if ever (rarely). 

I get tired of people saying that the games don't look good anymore.  Who gives a crap about graphics?  Yes, I know it's nice to see Doom 3 ans FEAR type graphics, but do they really matter.  Not at all.  People need to get over the fact that some fighting games are years old, but they are timeless.  Street Fighter 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Stree Fighter 3, King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, and many more may not have the graphics of today's "standards," but they sure are a hell of a lot more fun to play than a hacked up FPS.
