Seeing that Israel had had nuclear capabilities since the 50's-I don't get who's 'giving nukes'. I don't see what's news about this whole thing,as well. It's been US policy since the 60's.[QUOTE="grape_of_wrath"][QUOTE="Treflis"]Considering how "heated" the Isreal government can be towards criticism from other nations, I don't think giving them nukes is the smartest thing in the world.Pixel-Pirate
Since the 50's?
What happened to the whole "maybe we do, maybe we don't?"
Well, more accurately, the 60s probably. And I'm pretty sure it's confirmed by everyone besides the Israelis. It was leaked to British press in 1986 by this guy. Also, this site confirms that the US has known about the nuclear weapons for a while.
[QUOTE="taoistextremist"][QUOTE="x-wing20"]Saying that the Jews have had enough as a reason to justify Israel's actions of aggression and hostility towards other middle eastern people is an ignorant and flawed path of logic. They do things that are questionable among human rights activists, and they've done many things that are illegal in the eyes of most nations. Israel shouldn't have nuclear arms because they haven't signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty. Also, all in all, continued production of nuclear arms is a hostile activity itself and should never be encouraged or endorsed, especially by a world superpower such as the US.while all the hate towards Israel? it makes no sense to me. Honestly jews have been through enough. leave them alone and let them have their nukes.
I'm also surprised that president supports Israel when it comes to having nukes.

It's the opposite-Countries who HAVE signed the NPT(like Iran and n.korea) are not allowed to develop a nuclear arsenal. Countries who haven't(like Israel, pakistan and India)-cannot have UN actions taken against them.Since they aren't in violation of anything.
Well, I believe I made a point of not liking the idea of nuclear production. But the thing is, these countries continue to build nuclear arsenals, because they haven't signed the treaty. This causes a big danger to everyone else, because nuclear weapons themselves are a a big hazard from a single use, and countries building them are countries that deal with hostility and instability around them, which makes them more likely to use nuclear arms. My point is, they are encouraging a greater danger to the world by being in possession of these weapons already, and refusing to sign the treaty because they want to keep making more.
