Right… people praised it because od part 1. The game was released into 2 parts, and part 2 had cheap boses fight. I have beaten the game but felt really desappointed on how they managed to force a specific play style and gring eternally in order to beat a boss.
A few years ago, I had a meetup at Ubisoft Montreal and as an indie game developer, I had the opportunity to speal with the producer. They invited indie game developpers on their rooftop for a drink and some free food, but to also discuss about the future of Ubisoft.
Something that the procuded told me gave me a bad taste. Ubisoft wanted to move towards Games As a Service, instead of going forward with purely single player games. They are most likely interrested in making money.
The 2 games that might been cancelled, according to ex-employees could be The next Splinter Cell (non-vr) and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
I tried the demo for Unsighted and it was amazing. I added it to my wishlist and now it’s on GamePass! Thanks for maling the subscription totally worth it!
Not sure why people hate Epic so much. I’m both using Steam and Epic, and Epic Games gave us a bunch of free games to lure players to their platform. Yes it didn’t have a « friends » feature up until recently, but it doesn’t matter as I was most interrested in the games themselves. At least I was able to discover a bunch of great games, and some of them were also 15% cheaper compared to steam.. Remember that steam takes 30% of developers’ sales compared to a mere 12% on Epic’s side. Money is saved on both the developers and consumer’s sides.
