Seriously, what the **** is wrong with all these racing games where you always start from the absolute last position? I may be wrong but from what I recall GRiD was the first racing game I played (aside from hard core simulators) where you don't always start from the last position! what happend to that?

It's just so stupid and annoying to start from the last every single time, it's like the top opponents payed everybody off and made me start last, so they can have 10 really slow shitty drivers blocking me while they zoom ahead starting from those top spots! And like any other game where you start last, the computer always accelerate faster than you. Maybe there is some trick to do a perfect start at the correct RPM, but I've had many races and I've never been able to pull it off even once, they always start faster than you.

I'm not a hard core racing fan I don't play that well but I usually don't have any problems playing normal difficulty, I can get the wins at the end of the day but it just feels unfair and frustrating. I mean the whole point of me playing a fantastic looking racing game like this is to drive fast and drift with stlye and stuff, but I can't freaking drift with all these stupid slow cars blocking all the corners! Especially when they have magical traction control and when you drive into them it's always you that spins out!

Also a few other small details that annoys me:

  • The fan count after each race, why can't I just skip it? I don't care! just cut the crap and get me back to the garage! Also, the texture for the numbers are like 720p standards it looks blury on PCs.
  • When you pick a car it has to load that car before you can do anything else. I don't have to look at the car just start the race I'll have the whole race to stare at it! come on!
  • sponsor decales have shitty resolution, they should be doubled.
  • the guy that talks to you during races is annoying. he tells you the same useless things multiple times. Yea I get it! RWD cars can over steer! you already told me that 5 times!

For me I think the biggest improvement over the original GRiD is the rewind thing. That old system was just retarded, why the **** do I need to rewind the thing, after I have entered rewind? Like, would I ever enter rewind, and start again without rewinding? Also if you crash your car you have to watch it crash and hit the ground before you can rewind, that was also annoying.

I am using the Coolermaster 812 cooler, the one with the vertical vapor chambers and stuff.

Running at 100x40, undervolted with dynamic voltage -0.115v. Room temperature is 20 degrees. I cannot get a surface temperature because EVEREST doesn't support my motherbord (Gigabyte GX79-UP5 WiFi)

What I am concerned about is when I touch the cooler it's not even hot at the base, it's like warm at most. I'm not sure if this is normal or the core is just that much hotter than the base of the cooler?

I got it a while ago actually, but I just started playing it seriously and I'started to realize what a piece of crap it is. The graphics is ok actually, although the poly count is seriously a problem and I don't understand how it can't be higher on the player's car at least, and the cars' shadows actually overlays ground shadows, that sucked as well. So what about the gameplay? I have three major problems, firstly you always start from the last position, I know it's a tradition for racing games, but screw the tradition, I've played good games like Grid where you don't always start last. Now why is this a problem? Because its just plain annoying, there are ways too many opponents and you have to pass them every single race, why so many opponents? Why don't make my car's poly count higher instead? Have half the number of opponents and twice the poly count? Every race you have to pass these guys and it's a pain because it is too easy to get into collisions with this many opponents. And you better pass them fast within the first half lap because if you don't you're screwed, the first few cars are insanely fast you don't catch up by then you'll never catch up. It's just so pointless I mean most of the times you won't even see them they'll bee just so far behind they might as well not exist, so stupid. Secondly the difficulty is bs, as soon as I hit grand national the game becomes totally impossible. The previous stage was so incredibly easy I win games with over 10 seconds lead every time, total domination. Then I get into grand national, and I just get face palmed by that Lotus bs. The opponents in that one are impossibly fast they corner with the perfect route and maximum speed every time, and the car is a piece of crap it always spins out. I tried like 20 times I couldn't win I had to lower the difficulty to easy. I mean what kind of bs is this on one level you dominate like no other and the next level you get owned so hard you had to lower the difficulty? What kind of a game design is that? And there is more, the exact same opponents get faster and faster in the Sam tournament. Wtf is that all about? Were they just like pretending to suck and then smoke you in the third stag? This is especially annoying because if you screw up the last stage and don't get 1st because of it, you gotta start over from the beginning, nad to make sure you can't just restart in-game, they don't tell you the overall score, so you can't know what place you have to get to be the first. Thirdly, it's the race tracks, they are just designed to be as unforgiving as possible and as annoying as possible. For example if you hit a wall at greater than a very specific angle, it will somehow make you spin around such that you face backwards. What a load of crap if I hit a wall you have to make me start over? Why not just make it a simple game over instead I have to manually restart? It's the same thing with those sharp corner after long straights, they always make sure to have a gigantic area of grass on the outskirts of that corner, to make sure you're **** if you were too fast at that corner. This is just not fun at all one mistake and you have to start over, the gameplay is just constant restarts, which means you have to pass all those cars again and again and again. And please don't tell me this is all realistic, because it's not, I'm not a fan of realistic racers but I've played realistic simulation games and this game only falls somewhere in the middle of simulation and arcade racer. Other than the gameplay, the controls is also a problem. The accelerometer control is obviously no good for serious playing because it's delayed for like a full half a second, it's just really uncomfortable. I usually use the small thumb stealing wheel, and it sucks for faster cars. It's too small so if you have 1 sensitivity you can't make turns even if you turn it all the way. If you have 3 sensitivity it's too sensitive and you have to turn by shifting the shape of the flesh on your thumb. Now I usually use 2 and that have worked for my Golfs, but it doesn't work any more with my GT-R because its also too sensitive it's too easy to spin out. We totally need a bigger steering wheel like one that takes up half the screen.

If you're so **** awesome that you deserve a **** music, useless FX and gay UIs, why can't you even make your trainer work, like even 80% of the time?

I'm so **** tired of those trainers with a stupid loud music playing everytime you start it up, and they don't even give you a readme.txt, instead they give you this built-in info box which is tiny and you can't scroll with your mousewheel and there is no scroll bar, and the window is so small you can't see all the hotkeys so you have to actually alt+tab out of the game just to see the rest of it. I mean why are you so **** stupid? why waste your time doing all that, istead of making your trainer work?

And then there are they homos selling trainers, and incoporating validation keys with network authentication into their **** Like, WTF? If you wanna make a buck just sell it and that's like, fine. Why incoporating all these **** and make 50mb trainers that you have to **** log in before you can use it?

I'm just blown away by the stupidity, trainer makers wasting time on useless **** while their trainer don't do piss when I press the hotkeys in game. You know what It's faster for me to make my own **** trainer than to make your loaded up craps work.

P.S

obviously I'm not using wrong trainers or wrong versions and all that, I used to make trainers myself I know how it's done.

I used to be a pc gamer and I recently picked up a copy of legend of Zelda twilight princess on Wii, and I'm playing it on the actual console, not simulator. For some reason so far I found it to suck for the most part, I can't explain it, the reviews for this game are so good. Most frustrating thing I have with it is the control, it sucks so bad. There is no way to look around without using the first person thing which is super slow and weired to use, and for the most part you're looking down so you cant even have a good view of the surroundings. It also haunts me in dungeons, in that first dungeon where you save monkeys, one of the rooms you have to throw a bomb spider up a platform to blow up a cage, I dies like twice there. First picking up the bomb is a pain because you do everything with A, so you're doing everything you don't intend to do with that button, secondly you can't throw while standing still, but you can't aim accurately while running, what a pain. Before that where you had to drop bombs into those flower thing, I died like three times just trying to do that. And I have never died from combat, it's always the bad controls that get me, the combat are way too easy, I've beeen basically untouchable, that's just not right. And then there is the graphics, specifically the resolution, it sucks big time. Not that it doesn't look good, but I can't see what I need to see. For example in that first house you had to light candles with the stick, I couldnt tell that it was a freaking stick, I thought it was some marking on the ground. And since A has so many functions, I can't even do like how I do it in Pc games where I just press the use button on everything. I was stuck there for so long and i had to read the walkthrough to know that it was actually a stick. I mean I know you can do good graphics on bad hardware and all that, but at least give us a resolutions where you can see things? You can keep the plain Fx and all that, but this super blurry graphics is killing me. I tried the simulator and the native resolution is a joke, it's like 360p 4:3 or something, that's just not acceptable. I don't expect 1080p but can I have like 480p? The stick was just one of many instances where I get stuck because I can't see the clues as to what I'm supposed to do due to the horrible resolution, and I'm standing right in front of my TV. And there is no narrative, you have to read the text which isn't too bad if not for this blurry graphics, it's so painful. If you can't render the 3d in high res then at least do it for the text? One of the joys of playing rpg games is to listen to the narrative, nowadays even the low budget **** games have narrated cutscenes, even the rip off F2P MMOs have some of it. i know it's a 5year old game but still. Aside from all that, why do I need the oil lantern? It just wastes lantern oil, it has to function other than lighting candles, they could just make you pay to activate those mechanisms, it just seems so pointless and you have to take it out, and put it back all the time or you run out of oil. And you have to press so many buttons just to refill it, I don't see the reason for all that complication. Why do I have the slingshot? It's also useless except killing spiders, it's not like killing spiders is exciting or hard or challenging, it's just another pointless tast you have to do before climbing. When you're a wolf, why do you have to manually jump to that little spirit guy? You can't rely fall for the most part, why not just make it automatic? And there are the rubys, so far I found absolutely no use for them other than buying lantern oil, it's not like in some other games where you can buy weapons, and you reach the limit of 300rubies really fast, again, so pointless. The story also doesn't make much sense, for some reason every evil in their world wants a piece of the kids, like if they get kidnapped once it's understandable, but why do they get kidnapped so often? What do they want from them? Why don't they just kill everyone in the village? Do they want to lure Link to them? But isn't he the hero chosen by the gods? Are the evil dudes tired of living? I want to finish the game, I want to enjoy it, but I just don't get it. And why face so many design difficulties like the crappy resolution, release a version on PC? Most of that problem will be solved instantly. It's been five years it's not like you're still making money off from it.

Don't ask why did I bother to get a wii at this point, I didn't. Anyway i've always played games on pc, I just picked up what I thought is one of the greatest games ever, Legend of Zelda on Wii, and I'm getting very frustrated with it. The two main problems I have are the screen resolution and the controls. The resolution is just unbearable, i don't have a huge tv it's only 37inch but it's so blurry I can't help but get up and play while standing close to the tv, and it's still so blurry I can't see any details. Another problem with it is the UI design, it has to accommodate for e low resolution, so for example the map markers are HUGE, while the map resolution, even fully zoomed in, is tiny. I can't tell if I'm at the right spot because the marker is bigger than a house on the map. Yea maybe I'm getting too used to 2048*1152 but now days, at least native 720p? And the controls, oh man. I'd think that RPGs are easier to control with game controllers but no, it's horrible. First of all you can't turn the camera without pressing another button which is a reversed pan and you can't change it. Secondly aiming with the Wii mote is a nightmare, it delays like a full second, and it's awfully hard to hold it steady. Then there is the button sharing, everything uses A which is a pain in the ass in some situations. For example I lost like six hearts trying to throw a bomb spider down a ledge. Because a is for attack and stop attack and pick up and roll, so I couldn't pick up the bomb in time and lost like four hearts there. And then A is also for put down and throw, so I couldn't throw it correctly, lost another two hearts. If it were on PC none of these would have been a problem you'll have mouse to rotate camera, and separate buttons for all those actions no problem. I don't really wanna criticize the game because at this point i see no solutions for these problems, it's just how the hardware work and it's some old hardware and a old game. Still, the game would have been much better even on PCs of that time, at least if I play it now I can play it on high res. I know why they only release on their own console but can't you port them even years later when you are not making money off of it anyway?

I'm not saying they shouldn't take monthly fees, I'm saying cause they already have the monthly fees they shouldn't sell the game boxes for that much.

I know WOW is one of the best games ever made, I have played and know F2P games are crap, don't assume only WOW players know that.

yea but they had plenty of players buying those games, and they all have been paying monthly fees, why do they still need to tax so hard on new players, it just scares everyone way......

I mean how do I know if I'm gonna like my $150 game? you can try for 10 days or whatever but you can't get to the real game in 10 days. but if it's like $30 then it wouldn't matter that much.

well that's kind of BS, the game plus all those expansions add up to a pretty big number. and you still have to play the monthly fees....

they should just include everything in the latest expansion.
