Yes, it does downscale if you don't have 720p, it will scale down to 480p as it can't 'scale up' the graphics to something better than it was rendered in. fntsycloudAhh no it doesnt down scale anything. Itll render at the highest available res that the title supports but WONT down scale anything.

The PS3 doesnt downscale anything, however not all titles support 1080i as 720p is a better option.is it true that 1080i resoulution tvs are actually downscaled to a lower reolution?
my tv is 1080i and im not sure if its 720p
is there anyway to fix it?

[QUOTE="murlow12"]I would like one, but not for that price. If it dropped to $129 I'd probably get it.nosferatu
It is at $129.....
hddvd sucks compared to bluray. it's hella expensive. ps3 comes with the superior player built in. hddvd = fail (confirmed)NaiKoN9293
Do you research anything you say? HD DVD has ALWAYS been the cheaper format. Picture quality and sound the 2 are identical. The differences lie in the features and HD DVD has BluRay spanked in that. Studio support is the next big difference (that can easily change) and as of now I'd say it's about even since HD DVD has the overall better studios, but BluRay has a couple more.
Thanks for the propaganda trotski.because you gonna get it owned the game support mouse and keyboard c you online tomorrow ps3and360ownerServers have the option to block m+kb.
I'm choosing between the 360 and PS3. Can someone give me the pros and cons of each system and tell me what makes the 360 greater than PS3 and what makes the PS3 greater than the 360? Also, give me like at least ten games for each console. Exclusive to each please so DON'T mention Assassin's Creed or GTA IV.nelfer320You wont get an honest or informed answer here.
