You guys dont seem to understand, until the vast majority of the world has net services capablie of handling that level of data, this isnt going to replace disks, and I can tell you the world isnt even NEAR close. 10years or more will need to pass.
Its a good decade before Digital Downloads will be even close to being a place thats good, there simply isnt enough people with fast enugh broadband to cope.
The reason why so many hate Halo is complicated. Some hate it because its become perverted from its original purpose (i.e what it was to be before MS bought it), others hate how such a mediocre game gets such attention when more deserving titles get none. And there is of course the whole that is MS hyping it despite knowing its not upto the competition. While Halo isnt necessarily a bad game, its is not a great game.
