i feel that the playstation is the best, Nintendo itself was the only thing that kept the N64 afloat, there werent enough third party games developed for the system so wat u got happening was a lot of cute family orientated games (Nintendo's style) which, don't get me wrong is not a bad thing but it was a bit too much cuteness and happiness for my taste! Playstation had so many different companies producing top quality games for it that were all completly different and aimed at a more mature market who were getting tired of Mario and all his friends. The N64 had brilliant games (super mario 64, ocarina of time. majora's mask) but all those were made by Nintendo and i just feel a console is good if u have developers wanting to make great games for it which Nintendo64 sorely lacked.

Street Fighter 4, tho to be fair i a havn't played the others in their current gen form so can't really tell but SF4 is simply the best current gen fighting game around!
when it comes to shooters, i prefer older games. back in the beggining of the decade, or end of the last one, developers seemed to put more effort into making their games original. also, they didnt focus on realism like they do nowadays. hyperrealism in shooters sucks, in my opinion.

yeah i agree, developers did everything to want to please the gamer back then but now its about stockholdings and market share
I go back and play old games all the time, all the memories flood back and u go "they dont make games like this anymore..." i played the original MGS recently and i also love playing Capcom Classics collection and games like that to relive the old school days, i finished sonic cd for the first time ever and it was soo cool!
yeah, i agree totally! i think sony,microsoft and nintendo need exclusive titles to sell their consoles and make it seem like it's the best over the others otherwise why would anyone even care about picking 1 console over the other?
