I know even on Uncharted 720P that when you rotate the camera fast the screen kinda tears, like it can't keep up. Not sure about the rest.WongB
Ok just to make it clear its not tearing issue I seeing, I know uncarted has tearing, even god of war have big time tearing but the issue is not tearing i'm talking about.
The issue is on some ps3 demos and the full game of uncharted and some ps2 games i have, what I see is I beleive its called combing and or interlacing artifacts. When this happens is when moving the camera/screen left and right (Horizontaly) I see still images ingame like a rock, tree, car, etc get out of focus, shimmering, combing, fuzzy, jitter, vibrate, shake, I say all those words i;m trying to describe best I can.
Quickly thinking here ps3 games that have this is: Resistance fall of man, folklore, dirt, uncharted full game and demo, Motorstorm, heavenly sword, nhl 08, full auto 2, virtual tennis 3, timeshift etc.
ps2 games that i have do this are: code veronica, metal gear snake eater, hitman 2, devil maycry 1 etc.
But theres some games that are smooth no issues like ps3: ninja gaiden sigma, call of duty 4, ridge racer 7, rachet clank, etc.
Ps2 games that dont have this are: god of war 1 and 2, castlevania lament, virtula fighter 4 evo.
Any know whay is this happening thanks?
did u try to set the setting to 720 i think i heard somtimes it makes it looks better then the 1080iwalterj13
Ok yea I know thats combing, and I dont notice the thin lines of the combing on my sony wega crt hdtv like i do on regular standard tv's, so maybe the sony tv has a better comb filter than lower end tv's. But again and I take it back where i said only on edges i see something, and that something does look like i'll be see combing, but I just notice it more when looking at a edge/end of an object, I think my eyes are trained to look for combing from the past when hooking up a ps2 to a lcd monitor i saw severe combing.
But what i see is basicaly the images in screen going out of focus like its vibrating, not still. Oh maybe a good way to say it is like when holding a pencil or pen verticle and moving it fast left and right rapidly, thats how ingame images look. But some games do and others not and i want to know why.
Doesnt someone here have a ps3? If so load up fall of man demo and just watch the opening cimema before you drop down from the stairs and start fighting. If you look outwards where theres fighting going on before you drop down below the camera pans left and right and you'll see what i'm talking about.
code veronica ps2 game does it too...
I have a sony kv-30hs420 crt hdtv connected to a Playstation 3 60gig via hdmi running at 1080i. I'm not sure if its a issue with the tv or ps3 or if its common to all displays. Also becasue i took back like 4-5 lcd monitors because I saw this issue or thing that I explain here thinking it was a ghosting issue, but I dont think most of the lcd screens where ghosting because i know what ghosting is i have a psp that has ghosting issues but this is like something else and some games do it and others dont. Call of duty 4 didnt do this.....
I have demos of ps3 games installed like, resistance fall of the man, ninja gaiden sigma, uncharted drakes, and more. Now in Resistance what i notice in game is in when looking at a edge of an ingame object like a light pole, car, walls, buildings, rocks, even characters when your moving/turning the camera, the faster you move the screen the worst, what I see is the objects get like out of focus like its not a clear focus image. I dodnt think is ghosting its more like the image/object i'm looking at is like tearing. But vyncs tearing is usually mean the whole screen has tearing but this is not the case here its just indivual objects get out of focus. Like another word could be it has vibration look to it, likie blurry.
Does anyone know what i'm talking about it kinda bothering me becasue i dont know if its normal or something wrong.
Is this normal or is there something wrong with the ps3? Thanks...
