You cannot 'chip' a slimline PS2 because they will overheat and blow up. It happenned to my friend and he could do nothing about it because he voided the warranty by chipping it.

My slim is chipped and i am the proud owner of 57 non-original games.

I play all the time and mine never blew up or nothin.

Maybe your friend got some fake ass chip.

And their is no over heating problum with me, but you might have if your a loser who plays 8 hours straight.
