im not good with roman numerals
I_PS2_U
A quick primer.
I = 1
when you put I together in succession, you just add them to get the number. Now, that would get really hard to read after a while, because you'd end up just having to count and it wouldn't solve anything. So the numeral changes every five increments.
V = 5
So, III would be 3, while IIII COULD be 4, but it's less to write if you write it as IV
So, putting a I in front of another numeral means to subtract 1 from the number. V is 5, I is 1. IV = 5-1, which is 4.
On the fifth increment it changes again. I is 1, V is 5, X is 10.
VIII would be 8, but to write 9 you would write 10-1, or IX
The system continues, but for the use in gaming you really don't have to know much more than this.
Don't they teach this in school anymore?
