Book3: Chapter19: Battle of the Bulge {1}

WOOT! I found the solution to it all! Thanks to my mom, I was able to post this! Enjoy!

The Fire Nation tanks that unleashed their firepower had started the unforgettable Battle of the Bulge. The catapults of the AoF launched their rocks and boulders; however, very few managed to hit their targets. Firebenders started to punch fire at the AoF trenches. Many of the blasts of fire hit the Earthbenders defending and they countered by punching rocks from the ground to their enemy. But when they did, they would dive behind a nearby tank and the rocks would just crumble after hitting the metal of the vehicle. Aang and Noku, at the very peak and center of the first trench, were trying to re-direct the fire blasts back at them, but the seemingly infinite fire kept coming and gave the 2 no time to try and actually attack.
“Where’s Azula?!!” yelled Noku, under fire from a tank.
“I don’t know!!” replied Aang, as he re-directed a blast to a front tank.
They tried their best as they bended fire away from the army, but there was too much. Trebuchets of the Fire Nation also started to fire from behind the small hill the Fire Nation was advancing over.
‘It can’t be now, it just started,’ thought Noku, punching fire at a nearby archer inside a tank.
Aang was bending earth, air, and fire at the advancing tanks and Firebenders as they started to attack other parts of the trench more than just them. One by one, they went down from the Avatar, but they continued to pour from the back and acted like they wouldn’t stop until they penetrated the line and advance to the beach. Noku was starting to fire lightning from the trenches as well as his blue fire, but again, the Fire Nation advanced and attack without mercy. They both looked along the 1st trench they were in and noticed how their own AoF soldiers were going down one by one from their archers, fire, or trebuchets that were starting to fire from behind the hill that the Fire Nation was coming over.

Toph and Ito were firing all the rocks they can at the Fire Nation. Firebenders kept firing at the 2 as they were ducking behind the tiny earth wall when they couldn’t protect themselves in time. Toph made a humongous dust cloud in front of them and continued to fire rocks at them.
“I don’t know what I’m hitting!!” yelled Ito, just slashing rocks in the direction in front of them.
“Just keep it up!!” replied Toph, who was now throwing giant rocks in front of them.
They heard just a couple of soldiers of the Fire Nation getting hurt or hit. They heard tons of the rocks hitting the metal tanks as they continued to roll in. Toph just jumped out of the tiny trench and ran forward.
“What the….?! Where are you going?!!” yelled Ito.
Toph didn’t reply. She disappeared into the dust. Ito continued to fire rocks in front of him. He then heard the sound of metal ripping, feet moving, and fire blasting. He could tell the fire was firing nowhere since fire popped from the dust. Toph reappeared and dived back into the trench.
“What were you doing?!” asked Ito, ducking from a bunch of incoming fire.
“I was dealing with that annoying tank!!” replied Toph, digging up more rocks and throwing them ahead.
Toph cleared the dust and they were both surprised. Archers replaced the Firebenders and opened fire at the AoF. Soldiers in the trenches with the GAang were getting hit and defeated.
“Re-make the walls!!” ordered Toph, as she tried to raise more earth to reinforce the small and weak wall.
The soldiers and Ito listened as they earthbended more earth to the wall. More and more arrows were starting to hit the wall instead of the soldiers.

Katara and Ty Lee were busy covering the left corner of the 1st small trench. Many soldiers kept trying to advance, but were stopped by the awesome duo. They were all either getting hit by Katara’s water whip or Ty Lee’s punches and jabs.
“For once, I like your abilities!” said Katara.
“Thanks!” replied Ty Lee, locking a soldier in a headlock then punching him in the shoulder.
Then, Fire Nation tanks started to roll to them from the side. They were now surrounded by Firebenders and tanks.
“I’ll take the tanks!” said Katara, bending more water to her from a pond.
“And I’ll take those big tough guys!” said Ty Lee.
They ran to their opponents at full speed. Ty Lee just jumped in the air, dodging the fire blasting at her, and easily jabbed the soldiers from behind. Katara froze the tanks at the wheels and broke them off the tanks. Before you knew it, the tanks and soldiers were down from the duo that was once rivals and enemies.

“The war balloons are coming!!” yelled Sokka, pointing in the sky and ignoring the soldier running to him.
Suki threw her fan at the soldier and knocked him out.
“Sokka, pay attention!” said Suki, trying to help him out.
“It’s those war balloons from the beach, they need to be taken out before they drop their bombs and annihilate us!” replied Sokka, still pointing at them.
Suki looked to where he was pointing at and saw 3 war balloons hovering. They were near the back, but were nearing the AoF’s line of defense.
“I have an idea, but we need Aang!” said Sokka.
They ran to where Aang and Noku were fighting at. They were still unleashing their firepower on the advancing tanks that were really close now. Right when they came near Aang, they saw Jet run at them as well with his Freedom Fighters.
“Jet, we’ll gonna need your help!” said Sokka.
“Name it!” replied Jet.
“Aang, we need you to airbend us to the war balloons so we can take them out!” said Sokka.
Aang stopped launching his fire and turned back to them.
“I’ll try, but it’s risky! You might not make it and fall!” replied Aang.
“We have no choice, do it now!”
Aang airbended them up and fired them all to the lead war balloon.
“Grab on!!” yelled Jet.
His Freedom Fighters fired their arrows at the basket of the war balloon. Sokka and Suki held on to the nearest Freedom Fighter. All the Freedom Fighters fired arrows at the basket of the nearest war balloon and hit the basket with a rope hanging from them. They tried to climb up to the basket. But then a Firebender looked over and was about to fire at them. Sokka reached for his boomerang and threw it at him. It hit him in the helmet and knocked him over and he fell off. They reached into the balloon and were barraged by arrows and fire from the basket of the balloon. Jet and his Freedom Fighters managed to block the arrows and slashed at the fire. They charged at them at full force, along with Sokka and Suki. Sokka was hitting and slashing at the Firebenders with his new sword. It looked odd but inspiring in a way how the handle was a dragon and its tail was the handle. Suki was dealing with a bunch of archers near the engine of the balloon. Jet’s Freedom Fighters were fighting as well, but, secretly, the other half was opening the engine from behind, trying to find a weak point.
The last soldier on the balloon fell and the Freedom Fighters managed to open the engine.
“Hey Jet, let’s raise one of those bombs up and throw it into the engine!” suggested a Freedom Fighter with a cut across his eye.
“Good idea, hey Sokka-“
“-Already on it,” interrupted Sokka, pulling up one of the bombs.
He and Suki carried it into the engine and lit it.
“It’s going to blow!!” yelled Sokka.
“Grab on!” yelled Jet.
His Freedom Fighters, again, shot at the next balloon basket, and repeated the process as the first balloon exploded and fell on its own soldiers.
