Have you tried just waiting? It's fairly normal, sometimes it can take 2+ minutes to get to the menu.

CS:S easily.
TF2's combat is just too shallow and the game doesn't require much skill... ends up being a bit of a yawn.
L4D lacks longevity IMO
[QUOTE="the_mitch28"]I said this in another thread, but look at what Treyarch has created in terms of Call of Duty games... not much. IW for the most part (up to MW2) had created the formula and then Treyarch just copied it and changed a little here and there. I don't know if Treyarch can actually create the true next CoD experience without it being a blatant copy of MW2. Also they can still make a competitive product without all those developers, but it won't be the CoD that we are used to. It will most likely feel like a new game with a new direction that just won't have the CoD feel. It could be competitive for sure, but it won't be a real CoD. Also scoots9, when they say competitive they mean sale numbers. Liking or disliking call of duty has nothing to do with it as long as it sells. That is what they mean by competitive. And we all know bad games can end up selling a lot... just look at anything on the Wii not made by Nintendo. If you ask me Treyarch does a pretty good job with the CoD series and they don't have the top IW talent.... I mean WaW was probably one of the best WW2 fps games I've played and CoD3 was a fair effort if you take into consideration they only had 9 months (instead of 2 years) to develop it.
I just think that now that the formula is there it won't be too hard to make new cod games... who knows maybe some new brains inside the IW studio could turn out well? Because it isn't like we saw a huge improvement from MW1 to MW2

Activision didn't hire Treyarch to innovate within the series, they hired them to create fillers between each IW release. All I was trying to say is that now that IW has put the formula in place it isn't hard to replicate with or without this so called talent.
The zero (or negative) improvement between MW1 and MW2 just proves this. I would say BlackOps is looking like a much more compelling title than MW2 from what little we know.

[QUOTE="Shadowhawk000"]I find it strange that you dislike SC2 which is one of the best RTS's ive played in recent times but like Dow2 which is just plainly horrible. Its not even a true RTS.. to start with.LordAinav

DoW2 gameplay reminds of playing Warcraft III but you command few units and no base building which removed half of the strategy. The battles are slow and boring though the game is good for casual RTS players who doesn't want to click more often.
IMO, the graphics is on par on todays standard, SC2's artstyle is pretty impressive specially the different tilesets+doodads available in beta.

WoW! SC2 graphics looks like crap compared to DoW2... not!
As for the TS stop playing it in low settings will ya?
Looks like you found the worst possible DoW2 screen you could, and if that's the best SC2 image you could find then I'm sorry DoW2 blows it out of the water.
Man I tell my friends all the time... it's easy.
My friend fancies himself as a bit of a sniper elite.... trouble is that's all in his head and he's actually a horrendous sniper. So when we're playing team deathmatch in cod and he's going 1 and 18, I have to tell him to put down the sniper because all he's doing is feeding the other team.
This never happens to me and I've been playing since release... best I've gotten is one with super speed and jump plus no fall damage. Fun for a few minutes then annoying.

Arma 2 is a milsim game.
ionusX
id like to call that wrong... sort of
the only "true" milsim games are AA and operation flashpoint 2: dragon rising. that being said operation flashpoint isnt that good if you approach it like every other fps.. its more real and paced game unlike say arma II which is just a bf2 clone with misleading labels..
arma itself isnt bad however i would consider it under this label..
that is all
so yeah arma 2 isnt a milsim.. its just like evry other modern wartime shooter we have had and will have.. simply done "better" than alot other ones.
Did you just say operation flashpoint 2: DR is a military sim and ArmA 2 isn't? Ohhhhhhh boy.
OF2: DR is a console shooter, ArmA 2 is about as close as you can get to a military sim without having to upgrade to the industry grade version.
