Even running Crysis on low on a netbook is noteworthy....starting to wonder if people can grasp the point of Onlive atall, it isn't SUPPOSED to blow your mind away with amazing graphics on an onboard card. The point is having the option to play the games period on that type of hardware, while being anywhere. I probably will not look twice at Onlive, because I do have a gaming machine. But I am not going to shoot it down before it even leaves the ground like others are. I have cautious hope for it, and if anything hope it leaves the potential to be really great in time.

I'm sorry but to think you'll be able to stream onlive "anywhere" is a joke. The thing will only be playable on a highspeed connection.

But... they're all so easy.

One of the first times I played RTW (my first TW game) I beat a rebel army of over 1000 units with a Generals body guard and one unit of heavy infantry. Historic victory.

And I almost had another legendary victory in ETW but the game froze and crashed.... didn't play it for quite a while after that.

rebels are easy to beat if their tech's low and you engage them with elite units

I know but they had over 1000 units and I had around 100.... they should of had no trouble crushing me regardless of tech and neither of my units were elite. I was just pointing out how easy the games are because of their dud AI.

Would be a tricky task indeed considering MS has DX and everything making game support for it very limited.... at first it would be like gaming on a MAC.

But if it was free I would have no reservations about putting it on my computer with dual boot... About the only things I use my computer for is Internet and games, so yeah. Plus it would really put more power in the hands of developers when making a game.

EDIT: For anyone who wants to watchhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XEXLhGir3s

Basically his slideshow does a fake 'bluescreen of death' at the end and it's part of the clue of something they're doing...

Well I spend more time scrolling through the server list trying to find a server than I do actually playing the game.

I suppose it would be a lot easier to find a server if you live in America/Europe.

eh the powerups and the driving mechanic were about as generic as they come and on top of that the game lacks personality (like say Mario Kart or Twisted Metal). In other words there's nothing all that memorable about it.

Cool, won't be able to take advantage of it though till they fix their broken server browser.

mkaliaz

Have you tried running the game as Administrator? That fixed the server browser issues for me.

Overall the servers have been getting better for me for the most part....hoping that after this weekend they will be excellent.

Yeah I did, it got numbers to show up in the ping section instead of just a line but the pings don't work anyway so there's not much use.

[QUOTE="x-2tha-z"]In the window where you select the language you want Steam to display, there's an American flag next to English!! Why isn't there an English flag? There isn't a Brazilian flag next to Portuguese, there isn't a Mexican flag next to Spanish, there isn't a Canadian flag next to French....so why the **** is there an American flag next to English?RichardStallman

I actually posted a thread about this in the steam forums.. Valve responded....
